Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle
rated 3 of 5

I really wanted this product to work because I have somewhat dry frizzy ends and just wanted something that would treat my hair more than just a reg conditioner. (FYI- I have long, straight hair). The packaging is convenient, nothing more. The product squeezes out easily, and smells really nice. But when I leave it in my hair for a few minutes, it tends to leave my hair drier and coarser. And then after I towel dry, and attempt to brush my hair, it tangles and makes my hair unmanageable. But after the war of untangling my hair is over, my hair does air dry very smooth and fresh. I'd say the only saving grace on this is the fragarence, I really like that, but I will not repurchase.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
rated 4 of 5
Lexieberry 9/14/2007 9:06:00 PM

This is my HG daily moisturizer. I have dry skin with some trouble areas every so often....AFter washing my face I apply my toner and my cetaphil moisutizer...and makeup..This product NEVER breaks me out and I can trust it entirely to not clog my pores or make my skin itch or bothersome. It smells pleasant enough, and it has good packaging so no leaks-a pump. I am afraid to try anything else b/c it all makes me break out! My doctor recommended this and I appreciate it.

Blush -Revlon - Pinch Me Gel Blush
rated 1 of 5
Lexieberry 9/13/2007 10:56:00 PM

HORRIBLE...sorry, but I want to give a negative lippie to this vile product, but can't...seriously WTF was Revlon thinking??!!?? First off, I love the idea of creme and gel blushes, always have...but this gel blush comes out of the pump in random, watery squirts--disgusting. When you get the actual product on your skin, it dissapears into nowhere...seriously...no color payoff whatsoever. I tried experimenting with this, and the only way to get a *smidge* of some color payoff is to apply twice the amount, and let it dry in a thicker layer...this results in a sticky, and itchy mess--with a noticeable demarkation line....this products seriously blows--and hard at that......what a waste of money!!! =(

Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Naturale Mineral Concealer
rated 3 of 5
Lexieberry 9/10/2007 8:53:00 PM

I am a huge fan of the bare naturale foundation, so when this hit the shelves I grabbed one asap. There arent as many shades of the concealers as the foundations of course, so there is a greater chance of success in finding the right shades on the first buy ( I use the 458 foundation and the 478 concealer is just right). I dont really like the packaging because it showers mineral makeup on me everytime i open it, but its no big deal. I prefer using longer concealer brushes, but I found that using the smaller brush was a bit more annoying with handling...But the coverage is good, but I feel as though the foundation alone does a great deal of coverage for redness and the occasional zit or two-it really conceals well....but this is one of those products where you can really do without if you have the foundation alone.

Toners -Noxzema - Extra Strength Astringent Pads
rated 4 of 5
Lexieberry 8/12/2007 5:29:00 PM

I am on my 4th purchase of these astringent pads. and I swear by them. With the 2% s.acid in them, I know that they help prevent my breakouts around my chin and cheek area. The only down fall is that these pads are toxic smelling I have to hold my breath when i wipe them on my face...whooo they are strong...but effective. : ) tip: I find it a bit more gentler on my skin when I squeeze out some of the excess liquid from the pad b/c there is more than enough extra to do the job : )

WEll, Milia...it gave me that. I used this product for about 2 weeks maybe, and I got milia...wtf....my advice is to skip on over to another counter and find something with a good rep...what a waste of my precious dinero...: (

Liquid -Origins - Stay Tuned Foundation
rated 3 of 5
Lexieberry 8/8/2007 12:45:00 PM

I liked this product, and used it for a couple of years regularly, and it proved to be effective. I used the shade 'angel' i believe, and it was a pretty good match. The consistency is very thin, of course, but it provides medium coverage. Most certainly I had to use concealer (MAC) with it if I wanted full coverage. I found that mixing it with moistuizer and just smoothing it on over the concealer trouble spots, it worked wonders and looked quite natural.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Big Mouth Lip Gloss
rated 4 of 5
Lexieberry 7/5/2007 7:21:00 PM

Overall, I like this lip plumper by Philosophy. When applied, it ever so slightly tingles and tells you its working-which it does. It doesnt turn my lips jolie-like of course...but it most certainly gives a shimmery pink shade with more definite lip volume. The smell isn't unpleasant and its quick and effective in its use!

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie
rated 5 of 5
Lexieberry 7/3/2007 7:24:00 PM

I love this fragrance! It is just lovely! I am no expert on the notes, and the science of parfumes, but Miss Cherie Dior is just pretty. I bought it about 2 years ago at its debut at Nordstrom and It is a knockout! It is so feminine and graceful. There is definitley the notes of strawberry and caramel....yum! definitley worth the extra $$$$.

Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
rated 5 of 5
Lexieberry 7/3/2007 7:19:00 PM

This is the greatest foundation I have ever used...hands down...LOVE it so much- I should marry it.... My mother actually introduced me to this foundation one day and I have to say that I love her even more..lol..Bare Natuarale foundation is a powder, of course, so it comes with a short applicator brush attached to the lid. The brush isn't so bad, as others may review, but whatever works best for coverage is what it comes down to. The included brush is thicker and somewhat coarse, so it will help with more coverage when applying. I only use the attached brush, in light strokes (this is the key to getting the best results)...Speaking of coverage, the foundation is amazing in disguising acne, red blotchy areas, and so on... Just shake the bottle to reveal the foundation at the surface, and swirl the brush, tap of the extra (Remember: a little goes a LONG way), and apply all over in large circular motions. EASY! This foundation takes all of 30 seconds to reveal a flawless face on me, so I LOVE IT! I found that shade 458 was a perfecto match, after trying 456. It may take a couple trys to find the shade for you, but SO worth it, if not, mix them. What a great product....I have already finished off one bottle...it lasts forever....=D

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Schick Intuition razor
rated 4 of 5
Lexieberry 5/31/2007 4:38:00 PM

Okay, this product is being slammed too much. I'll defend it by saying that it is very convenient, and I NEVER get nicked. I have never been able to comfortably use a reg razor until I purchased this. The soapy bars surrounding it moisturize my skin for a smooth gliding shave. I do not like the price though. About $8 a package of 3 disposable razor attachments. Each razor lasts about 2 shaves...not so great. I do use a shaving gel with it, so I can use each razor longer. Overall, a great product.
