Lip Gloss -Almay - WhippedGloss Pinched Pink
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 6:57:00 PM
Pinched Pink is my 2nd fave Whipped Gloss! On my rosy lips, Pinched Pink shows up a light mauvey pink w/tons of shimmer. This is very close to a HG for me! This gloss is something I can wear everyday, so that's a plus--- in fact, I've used up almost half the tube which is unheard of for me. I love the brush applicator and minty smell. Whipped Gloss are the best drugstore lipglosses out there! I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.
EDIT 4/19/05 - I'm not nearly as enchanted with this lipgloss anymore. I'll keep mine and use it up, but at this point, I cannot see myself repurchasing. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No
Lip Gloss -Almay - Whipped Gloss - Shining Bare
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 6:51:00 PM
I love the Whipped Glosses, and Shining Bare is no exception! I can see how someone wouldn't like this if they were expecting an opaque gloss, but if you're looking for a sheer milky gloss, this is right on the money. I have rosy pigmented lips, and Shining Bare shows up on me as a milky glaze w/moderate shine. Perfect for minimal makeup days or smokey eyes. I would repurchase if I ever ran out, but who knows if I will since I never seem to use anything up! I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.
EDIT 4/19/05 - I've since given this away, as I found myself never wearing it.Was this review helpful to you? Yes No
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Toffee Drizzle
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 6:32:00 PM
I love Toffee Drizzle! :) It's the most gorgeous pale bronze w/golden shimmer. I don't usually mix it with the darker color, but when I do, it's just a shade or two darker than the lighter shade. I love the chocolate smell, YUM! I like to pair it with Prestige Oak l/l. I'd repurchase, but it was unforunately LE (not to mention I never use up anything!). I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous lipgloss in Glossy Rose [DISCONTINUED]
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 6:22:00 PM
Glossy Rose is the newest addition to my lipgloss collection, but it's already a fave! I don't know why I've waited so long to get this beautiful color, but I'm glad I finally got it! Glossy Rose is a muted MLBB shimmery rose. It brightens up my face w/o looking garish or overpowering. I can tell this is one I will get a lot of wear from. I'm an Aromaleigh 2W/BB Warm Ivory w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Raisin Glaze [DISCONTINUED]
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 6:17:00 PM
Raisin Glaze is a gorgeous bronzey berry w/golden shimmer. It's fairly sheer, but can be easily built up. It looks great w/minimal eyes and flushed cheeks. I love this for fall! I could do without the scent, but it's livable. I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Coffee Gleam [DISCONTINUED]
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 5:12:00 PM
I love Coffee Gleam! :) On me, this shows up as a pearly cocoa w/a hint of pink because of my natural lip color. It's perfect for fall, IMHO, and could easily be worn into winter. I love this gloss, but could definitely do w/o the scent, so I took off a lippie for that. Otherwise, this gloss is perfection! I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Shine That Pink
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 5:04:00 PM
Shine That Pink is probably my favorite pink lipgloss! It's be absolutely perfect if it was fragrance free. I find myself wearing this more in the winter than any other time of the year. It looks super over Prestige Desire l/s! This is not sheer, IMHO. It's a medium shimmery bright pink. Gorgeous! :) Perfect for girlie girls like myself. My fave way to wear this is with Physician's Formula Baked Smokes e/s Trio and LORAC Pink Blush. I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W with medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Highbeam Tan
FiestyFemme 10/8/2004 4:58:00 PM
Highbeam Tan is gorgeous! For me, it's the perfect neutral gloss. It's a bronzey nude w/a hint of pink on my pigmented lips. It leaves more of a glaze of color versus more opaque coverage, but that's fine by me. Just wish this color wasn't LE! I took off one lippie because the scent of these is not my fave, but I can deal with it for such lovely colors. I'm a MAC C3/Aromaleigh 2W w/medium golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

Liquid -Almay - Skin Stays Clean [DISCONTINUED]
FiestyFemme 9/25/2004 5:14:00 PM
This is another one of those products that I have wanted so badly to work for me, I guess because it has such a cult following around all the messageboards. I tried this a couple of years ago, and it didn't work out for me at all. It just didn't last, and I got so shiny with it. However, I had very oily skin at the time. I picked this up again when Walgreen's was having a BOGOF on their foundations. I was skeptical, and didn't have any good expecations for this foundation. I did want it to work for me though, so I gave it a go. And some days it works, and other days it doesn't. If it's not very humid, this works great! I get light, natural-looking coverage that lasts most all day long. Even when I do start to get a little oil breakthough in my t-zone, it still looks good. Don't let it be humid though, because this will keep me matte all of 2 hours, and my face will just look like an oil slick (and my face isn't even oily anymore!). All in all, I think this is a good foundation for someone who's acne-prone looking for light coverage. I'd repurchase if I ever ran out. :) EDIT: I've found this looks super flawless when set w/Cover Girls' Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder. It also seems to hold up better. Just a heads up for anyone who's looking to make this work better for them!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Lipstick- #547b, Breeze
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:49:00 PM
Breeze is a great color--- beigey nude with silver pearlescent finish. Looks great with a smokey eye! My only complaint with this lipstick is that it dries out my lips, so I've had to discontinue using it.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip Nutrition Mango Moisture Balm
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:46:00 PM
I'm glad I received this as an extra in a swap, as I'd be kicking myself if I'd purchased this. I don't like this at all, starting with the fact that it's in a tub. I don't like having to stick my fingers in a pot, not to mention it's unhygienic. It also has this nauseating, headache inducing, super sweet mango smell. I had to wipe it off immediately. And last, but not least, the texture is waxy (reminiscent of Chapstick), so I can't imagine that it moisturizes well.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Wild Shine in Melon Shine
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:43:00 PM
I love the Wild Shine lipsticks, so I'm giving this a 4 based on that alone. I did dock a lipstick, however, because Melon Shine does not work for my warm-toned self. It's a reddish pink, very similar to the color of watermelon, only deeper. I think it'd be great for someone with cooler toned skin.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - #528 Pink Ice
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:41:00 PM
Pink Ice is a light pink w/lilac undertones that looks horrible on my warm-toned skin. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this, so this is going into the giveaway bag.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Wet Shine Diamonds in Lovestruck
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:29:00 PM
When will I ever learn to quit buying drugstore red lipsticks? I saw this one in the store, and I had to have it. Under the lights in the store, it appeared to be a dark red w/dark red glitter. I figured it'd be nice for a night out, so in the basket it went. When I got it outside, it appeared to be a medium pinky red, so I was somewhat dissapointed. I tried it on when I got home, and the dissapointment continued. It looked awful on me, as all pinky reds do. It was much too cool-toned and bright to look good on me. I would definitely not repurchase this, but I don't think I have to worry about that since it's LE.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish - #502A - Dark Pink Frost
FiestyFemme 9/4/2004 6:24:00 PM
Wet N Wild lipsticks have come a long way. They are no longer waxy and crayon-esque, and the scent is a pleasant fruity smell. I bought the color Dark Pink Frost (#502) because in the tube, it looked like a medium pinked plum shot through w/golden shimmer. It was different from anything else I owned, plus it was $1, so I had nothing to lose. Despite being gorgeous in the tube, this looks awful on me. It shows up on my pigmented lips as a medium pink with lots of gold frost. It totally washes me out, even with lipliner. Ah well, at least I'm only out of a buck.
