Mascara -Almay - One Coat Mascara (Thickening)
Fiammetta 9/24/2003 11:20:00 PM
This is a decent, everyday sort of mascara. It doesn't especially lengthen or thicken, but it doesn't flake off, either, which is surprisingly more than I can ask of some more expensive mascaras. It comes off easily with soap and water, and doesn't leave those persistent smudges under my eyes.

Lip Gloss -Mary Kate and Ashley - ULTRA WET LIP GLOSS - NO WAY
Fiammetta 9/24/2003 10:53:00 PM
On me, this is a not overly sheer red gloss, a very wearable color, and not nearly as dramatic as it looks in the tube. The texture is actually kind of remarkable-- it's very shiny and it doesn't rub off, but it isn't the least bit tacky, either. Damn, I'm tempted to run out to (my local, somewhat scary) Walmart again tomorrow, just to stock up.

Lipstick -Revlon - Moisturous Lipcolor-All [DISCONTINUED]
Fiammetta 9/19/2003 11:10:00 PM
I'm saying that I'd buy this lipstick again-- but only if it were on sale. I bought Tawny Dew, and I like the color and formula. It's a pretty, flattering nude, in a glossy and lightweight formula-- puts me in mind of caramel. Mmm. It smells rather strange, I'm afraid, though less noticeable when I'm wearing it. Unfortunately, the tube can't stand up to much handling, and after a couple of days the lipstick broke at the base. I hate when lipstick does that.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - ColourJuice in Her Majesty's Rose (fall '03)
Fiammetta 9/19/2003 11:01:00 PM
I like the color, but like others have posted, it's not nearly as pigmented as you would think from looking at it. The glitter is quite lovely, and I like to use my WnW #712 pencil when I wear this. It's just a neutral, shimmery, rosy-nude gloss.

Styling Products -Alberto Vo5 - Sheer Hairdressing
Fiammetta 9/18/2003 3:31:00 PM
I generally take a small amount and rake it through the ends of my hair, where it's most needed. It does a decent job of helping tame it/weight it down on those poofy days, and makes the ends a little softer. I can't always afford to spend more than $10 on a hair product; luckily, this only costs about $5.00.

Lipstick -Clinique - moisture surge lipstick - sweetness
Fiammetta 9/18/2003 3:23:00 PM
It's a pinkish nude, and close enough to my lip color that I could apply it without a mirror. It's a soft, appealing color, and would work for many PPP.

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lipgloss in First Blush [DISCONTINUED]
Fiammetta 9/18/2003 3:16:00 PM
This is definitely the lip gloss I'll be wearing when I have just five minutes to get out the door. It's somewhat pink, but very flattering and natural looking; like most lipglosses, it's much sheerer as applied than it appears in the tube.

Lipstick -MAC - Russian Red
Fiammetta 9/18/2003 3:12:00 PM
Red red red red red. This is perhaps the truest red (on the blue side, I suppose) I've ever tried. It's gorgeous, and contrasts nicely with my pale complexion. It is a matte, though, so I dab on a teeny bit of nongreasy lip balm before applying. You might want to use a lip pencil, since you can't afford to apply this unevenly. I wish I could wear it more often.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Hydra Zen
Fiammetta 8/2/2002 3:54:00 PM
I've been using this as my main moisturizer since the spring, and I'm almost finished with the bottle. My skin tends to be slightly oily in the summer, and I've been using a separate sunscreen, but break-outs have been pretty rare. I like the texture, the smell is pleasant enough, and it absorbs so easily that you end up needing to use a lot of product for your entire face. I'm not certain if this would do the job of heavy-duty moisturizing that I need in the winter. The cost will deter me from buying this again for myself, since I received it as a gift.

Polishes -OPI - Pistol Packin Pink
Fiammetta 8/2/2002 3:24:00 PM
On me, this was a pretty peachy-pink with a nice shimmer to it. It complimented my fair (MAC C2) skin quite nicely.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
Fiammetta 7/2/2002 10:35:00 AM
I wear this in C2. It gives just the sort of coverage I want, evening out my skintone without looking masklike. I have found it doesn't sit as well on my skin when it's too dry, but I generally moisturize, so it's fine. I like how easy it is to manipulate, with the sponge or a brush.

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Liquid Lipstick SPF 15
Fiammetta 7/1/2002 6:20:00 PM
I first received Divine Shine in a GWP, and it's a beautiful, creamy nude pink when worn on top of a nude lipliner, like W&W #712. (I've since used up the sample and bought a full-sized one.) Alas, if I put it straight on my lips it's far too pale, making me look rather bloodless, and I'm relatively fair-skinned. I love the texture, and the SPF is reassuring. I'll definitely try out the other colors.

Lips -Clinique - All Different Lipsticks!
Fiammetta 7/1/2002 6:14:00 PM
I have this in two colors, Shy and Think Bronze. I like the Different Lipstick formula very much. It goes on very smoothly, the color doesn't streak or stain my lips, and it feels very light. I like the available shades, but one con might be that it doesn't last more than three hours (without eating or drinking).

Lipstick -Clinique - Almost Lipstick in Almost Blush
Fiammetta 7/1/2002 6:10:00 PM
This gives a very soft, natural pinky mauve tint to my lips. I can't stop peeking into my mirror. I'm definitely going to use it as much as Black Honey. If you're looking for a natural lip tint and are too fair for Black Honey, Almost Blush might work for you.
