Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black
alyssa18o6 4/8/2009 4:16:00 PM
I've heard lots of complaints about this product and how it has a tendency to "dry-out" but i've never had a problem with that. I bought this cause I wanted a cheaper alternative to MAC's Blacktrack fluid, although I've never used it, I wanted a nice cream eyeliner. I'm not anywhere near disappointed with this product, I don't use it everyday, but I do turn to this often. It has a very nice smooth application, I don't use the brush that came with this, I use a brush from a Sonia Kashuck set I got around Christmas and it does the trick. I got this while HIP items where BOGOF at Rite Aid, along with the Eggplant color. I think the price is kinda steep, but i've seen it cheaper elsewhere. When I run out I definitely plan to repurchase.
Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Fresh Look Pressed Powder ] [DISCONTINUED]

I got this on clearance at Rite Aid, i'm pretty sure I paid under a $1 for it. But i'm in love, and will continue to repurchase. I've used Cover Girl loose powder before and loved it as well, but I also like a pan version to keep in my purse and when I travel. I use this product to set my foundation, I got it in Translucent Honey and it doesn't add any color to my face, just gives my foundation a perfect smooth finish.
I bought this because Cover Girl products were BOGOF at Rite Aid. I use the waterproof version and LOVE it. This version isn't bad but it doesn't work half as good as the waterproof version does for me. I do like that it isn't hard to remove, but i'm not sure if i'd ever repurchase, unless I bought them BOGOF again.
I love this spray for when I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like straightening my hair. I may be the minority, but I absolutely LOVE the smell of this product. The only thing that I kind of don't like is I don't get a bit of frizz, but not enough to turn me off from this product. By far one of my must have hair products.
I turned to this because my hair was super damanged, and it felt gross and brittle. I use this once a week, and I love the way it makes my hair feel. I wouldn't use it more then maybe twice a week cause it does weigh my hair down a little if I use to much of it. But it's a very good deep conditioner, the smell is very good, and the packaging is really nice. The price isn't bad at all, and I see sells on Aussie products alot so i'm sure you can find a good deal on it. I definitely will continue to keep buying this.
I was looking for a good nude shade, this is kind of a corally-nude shade on me but it does the trick with some lip gloss. I probably won't repurchase cause I don't really wear lipstick alot, but there is a small chance I would buy again.
Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer
alyssa18o6 4/7/2009 6:50:00 PM
I used to use Sephora brand primer, but it cost like $19 for only a little bit of product. I saw this at Wal-mart one day and had to try it, I think a spent less then $6 on it, although i've seen it at different places anywhere from $6 to $8. The product has an orangey-tint to it, but it blends right in, and applys clear. I love this product i've been using it for months now and I couldn't imgaine going back and spending $20 on another primer. Definitely worth the price!
This is by far one of my favorite blushes, you can't beat the cheap price either. The color is a very suttle pink on me, almost sheer. But it's the most perfect pink blush for me, it goes with everything! The quality is very good too, it's not very powdery and has good staying power.
I got this BOGOF, but it sucks. To even get a TRUE black shade you gotta reapply like 10 times. I thought the pen design would be handy, which is it, I just find that it just makes it a little harder to apply. I can make straight lines they just don't come out as good. Overall, i'd never buy this again.
I bought this product with high hopes. I don't know if it has alot to do with the fact that I bought the wrong color, or if maybe I purchased the wrong formula? I don't know. But I wasn't thrilled, the product barely lasted 4hrs. I hated the way it looked on my face. I didn't have a problem with it drying fast however. The coverage was lacking aswell. The price for me, was a little on the higher side for a drugstore foundation. Also the packaging kind of sucked, I always ended up getting too much product out. Maybe somewhere down the road i'll re-purchase, and change formulas to see if that was it. EDIT: I repurchased it in another color and it is now my HG foundation :) I've even recommended it to others, but i'll definitely only continue to buy during BOGO cause it's a tad bit expensive for drugstore foundation. I still wish however the package came with a pump, because I feel as if I waste alot of foundation.
Lip Treatments -E.L.F. - therapeautic balm in strawberry
alyssa18o6 3/12/2009 10:59:00 PM
I love the way this makes my lips feel, they feel silky and smooth and I jsut love it. It has a small hint of strawberry scent, which is nice cause it isn't overpowering by any means. And it actually does leave my lips with a pretty pink tint :) I can't wait to buy the others.
I bought this one night on a whim, after I had purchased a few items from MAC and I had stopped at Kmart to get some items. I pair this with MAC Phloof! as a base color, I apply Moodust in the crease and outer v (along with Urban Decay Rush), then use Ivory as a highlight. It's my perfect everyday eye. The eyeshadow it self is kinda powdery like others have said it isn't pressed as well as regular eyeshadows. But I haven't had any fall out on my face, just normally when I pat my brush in it, my compact tends to get verrrrry dusty. But that doesn't bother me so much. When I use up this shadow I will definitely re-purchase.
I LOVE this product :] I got it in Pink Lemonade, I tried it the second I got in the car, and I just fell in love. The color is build able, which is perfect. The main reason I bought it was for cheek color, I haven't tired it on my eyes or lips yet. I'll probably try for the lips, but i'm not big on pink for my eyes. I want to go back and get the other colors ASAP. For the price, you can't go wrong :)
Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - INM - Out the Door Top Coat
alyssa18o6 3/12/2009 10:29:00 PM
I bought this at recommendation from a nail technician who was doing my friends nails. She told me it was the best she had ever used, and used it on all her clients. I've used OPI, and Seche before this. I hated OPI, it did nothing and all my polishes chipped the next day. Seche, was to clumpy for me. But I thinned it out with nail polish remover, and was pleased but wanted to see if there was something better, so thats why I tried this. I wanted to love it, I love how it applys. But truth is, it takes FOREVER AND A YEAR to dry. I just did a manicure about a half hour ago, and my nails are still wet. It does make my nails shiny, which I like, but the fact that it takes forever really kills me. I normally do my nails, then lay in bed on my computer. I can't even move over fear of smuding my nails. Over all I think i'll stick to my Seche. EDIT: I gave this product another star because it kept my polish on a little longer then Seche does. I kept this same manicure for 3 days, then started peeling it off on my own. I'm still not thrilled with how long it takes to dry. Im not sure if i'll purchase again or not.
Lip Gloss -New York Color - Liquid Lip Shine in Pink Sand
alyssa18o6 2/17/2009 11:07:00 PM
This is actually my everyday HG lip gloss. I love it, I just went to Rite Aid and bought out their entire stock! I paid $3.00 for 2, and i bought like 6 so, I paid like $9. Thank god they were BOGO 50%. I wear this alone, with a nude lippy, or over my beloveded Lavender Whip :] It's an incredible shade on me, it's fabulous. It's nice to have something that won't break my budget at all.
