Lip Gloss -MAC - Star Nova

Loooovvvveee it. I'm on my 2nd tube. I layer this on my new acquisition by Mac called "Sweetie." It's a lovely combination with this sweet pinky color on pinky lipstick. It's a keeper!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Sinnamon
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 3:25:00 PM
Absolute love it! I apply this on a lot of neutral Mac's and they all come to life. This is crazy, but I really think your lips appear nice and plump, when you apply this just in the center on the bottom lip. I got that hint on YouTube! I love this on my lipstick by Mac called Plastique! When my eyes are overly made up, I go submissive on the lip. At least, that's what the experts in Allure and Instyle dictate in their columns. I'm going to buy more lustreglasses! They are moisturizing, never drying, and they aren't sticky, and your hair doesn't magnetically seek out your lips!

Lipstick -MAC - Frost Lipstick in Plastique
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 3:20:00 PM
This Mac Plastique is my favorite neutral to coordinate with a lot of busy-ness in the eye area. It is silvery, bronzey, peachy, and hard to describe. I love it. I cover it with Mac's lustreglass called Sinnamon to give it lots of shine! It works for me!

Mac presents a nice opportunity to try these lipglasses! I used all of them with luck, except for the orange one.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Magnetique

This super little lip gloss packs a punch of color in strawberry/raspberry hues. It lasts pretty long on me and I love it since it gives lips a shiney, kissable presence! I'd buy more!

Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder Blush in Tippy (Hello Kitty)
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 3:02:00 PM
Buy again? Definitely. Why? 1. Bright color of fuchia is sooo flattering when you want that shock of pink! 2. Plenty of product for the $$$. 3. Great staying power on the skin! 4. Never changes to orange and some far out hybrid color! Great to put on the apples of the cheeks! I would buy Hello Kitty again.

Blush -Smashbox - Prism
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 2:52:00 PM
Buy again? Definitely. Why? 1. Goof proof small round plastic container with screw off lid. Plop your brush in, swirl, or swirl in the lid. Apply. 2. Plenty, plenty of product for the $$$$. 3. This pretty pale pink color gives my pale face some life. Sometimes I build it more in the apples of cheeks, or switch to another blush to build on top of this one. 4. Never changes color due to oils in skin. 5. Doesn't perform the magic act of disappearing!!! I'll purchase more of Smashbox!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Gentle
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 2:43:00 PM
Mac has one of those new fangled baked mineralized blushes. At least, they are new to me! I splurged on a purpley, mauve pretty color at Macy's. I, at the same time, got the brush that is a skunk? Perhaps 187 or 188. Something like that. The brush is excellent and picks up the pigment quite well on the MAC blush. You can build the coverage which I like. It doesn't grab at your skin and look like a botched mess! I'd like to explore other mineralized blushes. It has lovely look, and it is long wearing through the day!

Crème -Chantecaille - Future Skin
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 2:33:00 PM
Despite a lot of good press on this high end make-up, I possessed the good sense to get a sample jar before purchasing. Not that many matches for skin color, unfortunately. And my t-zone was an oily mess 3 hours after my application of the foundation. I'm finding that the anti-aging formulas has a good deal of moisturizer, and this is overwhelming for my skin.

Hair Styling Tools -Sedu - Revolution Tourmaline Ionic TGR 4000i Hair Dryer
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 2:18:00 PM
This Sedu far exceeded my expectations. After scrutinizing the reviews on Folica I purchased it for $140 and received a free Sedu straight iron valued at $60. What a deal! This outperforms my T3. By a mile, at the least! Yes, it's compact. Yes, it feels weighty, but that is because its size is smaller. You have an option for yes for ionizing or no for not. And I swear, I never have to flat iron my bob again. It's shiney, smooth, and keeps flyaways to a minimum! There's fast speed and low speed. I save lots of minutes of blow-drying time even on the low speed.

Fragrances -Yves Saint Laurent - Parisienne
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 2:00:00 PM
Allure Magazine or Instyle Magazine's insert of the fragrance cardboard enchanted and enticed me! I tacked the card on my fridge and would take a whiff of it because it was so mermerizing! So, when Ulta gave me a unbelieveable $45 coupon for prior purchases, I hightailed over to buy it, by adding $20 to the gift set. But what a terrible disappointment. It lasts for one hour. You just about have to shower with the gel, add the lotion, and do the 3rd step with the perfume in order to evoke a fragrance. Don't waste your money.

Crème -Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 1:51:00 PM
Laura Mercier has transformed my face through this excellent, high performance liquid silk foundation! It feels lightweight, just like tinted moisturizer, but with the staying power and the coverage power of a long-wearing 12 hour makeup. I've always had T-zone problems and wore Estee Lauder Double Wear Makeup. But, indeed you feel the weight of that makeup, and by the afternoon you definitely still need powder puffing and touchups. AND it did settle thickly into those crater holes called "pores." The LM DOES NOT settle into the pores! I prime my skin with Clinique's Pore Minimizer Instant Perfecter and this provides a blank canvas for Laura Mercier's wonderful foundation! It's flawless. It evens skin tone. It covers blemishes pretty well with the help from my Becca concealer, too. It's in a tube which DEFINITELY MUST BE SHOOK BEFORE APPLYING. But that's fine, ok... When I shook my Double Wear, it glopped around the screwtop and just became messy. Give this a try for an air-brushed look! My color is very fair, I the SA chose Rose Ivory and it succeeds at being a drop dead match with my skin color! Try LM....you'll absolutely love it.

Lipstick -Laura Mercier - StickGloss in Sugar Plum
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 1:40:00 PM
Laura Mercier's Plum is a wonderfully rosey pink color that is long wearing, tolerating drinking, etc. Moisturnizing, it feels so much better than its competitors at about only $7 more. I've arrived at the point where I'm ditching the matte, dry lipsticks on my vanity because they feel absolutely AWFUL. I'm totally new to Laura's line after reading rave reviews here on Makeup Alley. I'm so thankful I found this makeup!

Lipstick -Laura Mercier - StickGloss in Peony
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 1:32:00 PM

Laura Mercier's Peony lipstick is a wonderful enriched creamy stickgloss that lasts through my morning coffee hour at work right until lunch time! Looks lovely in its pinky mauve state! I would return to LM's lipsticks. I think they have a lasting quality that beats MAC lipsticks. And I absolutely love the variations of MAC's lipsticks along with the lustreglasses. Try it.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder
sweetgardenangel 12/21/2009 1:29:00 PM
"You get what you pay for" is really true on this wonderful finely milled powder that is absolutely transparent, no trace of yellow, no trace of pinky pink, etc. It never settles into my pores!!! My new experience with Laura Mercier has paid off! Little did I realize that there are distinct differences as I learned from this web site! This kept the oilies from creeping up, too! I apply with my large bare minerals powder brush, although there are diehards out there who utilize the powder puff option, by pressing and rolling. Oh well, still learning...if you are on the fence, then just go for LM.
