Eye Shadow -MAC - Trax
rated 5 of 5

This is one of the two eyeshadows I'm using daily. It makes a wonderful neutral even for wintertypes such as I am. It's always hard to apply the fitting amount of colour with such white skin without ending up looking like a freak ;) It's easy to apply and wonderfully easy to blend. Will definitely buy again!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly

Now this is what I use for eyeshadow base! The girl at my MAC counter suggested I'd try this and voilá! Works like a charm! It keeps my eyeshadow where it's supposed to be and one jar lasts a lifetime. Will definitely buy again!

Conditioner -Redken - Color Extend Conditioner
rated 3 of 5

Pro: easy to comb even when wet Contra: I still have to re-dye my hair every four to six weeks, so it does nothing for colour enhancing. But it makes my hair feel soft, though it gets frizzy when dry. But I don't blame that on the conditioner. Didn't buy again.

Treatments -Redken - Extreme CAT Protein Therapy Treatment [REFORMULATED]
rated 5 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 6:19:00 AM

Now this is a Redken Treatment I'm extremely happy with. I have chemically treated, waistlength hair and occasionally I feel like giving it an extra protein treatment aside from all the oiling and whatnot. This is the thing! I use a good amount on damp hair and leave it in for at least one hour. My hair feels really strong again afterwards, moisturized and it shines. Only downside: One bottle won't get you far if you have as long hair as I do. But then again, I only use it about twice a year ;) Will definitely buy again!

Shampoo -Redken - Color Extend Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 6:18:00 AM

For more than six years I've been dying my hair dark brown, almost black and quite frankly: I have to re-dye every four to six weeks whether I use this shampoo or not, so it isn't doing what it should. *shrugs* It makes my hair shiny, though, and it's easy to comb even when wet. Not gonna buy again

Treatments -Redken - All Soft HEAVY CREAM
rated 3 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 6:17:00 AM

I kind of expected this to calm my sometimes frizzy hair, which was probably a mistake on my part. It's said to contain oils and to make hair soft, which it certainly does. However soft equals frizzy in my case, so it becomes smooth and looks awfully wild all the same. Nothing I am too happy about. It's a nice treatment for when I'm too lazy to go through with my coconut oil routine. However, I don't think I'll buy this again.

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 6:16:00 AM

I still have this at home and only use it occasionally, since I try to treat my waistlength hair as natural as possible and Redken products are nothing natural. However, every once in a while a bit of cones has never hurt and then I use this. It does what it says and makes hair all soft :p It has a nice, though very sweet smell. Even though it's an okay product, I probably won't buy it again.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - "Gunmetal" Shimmer Shadow
rated 5 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:37:00 AM

This was the first eyeshadow by Bobbi Brown I ever got. I totally like it, even though it's hard to blend, but then I guess blending becomes harder the darker the eyeshadow is. It's a pretty huge pan, bigger than MAC's and lasts a lifetime, seriously. IF mine should come to an end, I will buy again, though :)

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Star Gloss
rated 2 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:36:00 AM

Both my mom and I each bought one of these and what can I say: Total failure. The colour and texture is alright, but the little vial it comes in LEAKS! Arghs! That is such a no-go for any beauty product and especially for a gloss. That makes it impossible to put in a handbag and take it with you and what do I need a gloss for at home? And yes, that was such a turn-off that neither my mom nor I will buy it again.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Lancome Juicy Tubes
rated 5 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:36:00 AM

The Juicy Tubes are by far one of my most favourite beauty product! I've had them in so many colours and for years now and I end up buying a new one each time the old is empty. I just love them so much. They make a wonderful lip treatment, even though they're being sold as lip gloss. They're moisturizing and they last longer than other glosses, even if you're drinking and eating. They smell deliciously and the colour range is amazing. The only downside I can think of is: Some colours appear to be available for a limited time only. So if one grows fond of a certain LE colour, buy two!

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dr Feelgood
rated 4 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:35:00 AM

I bought this as a make-up base after several people told me to try it. It smells wonderfully and it makes my skin all soft, however I don't really see a difference. It doesn't really matter if I wear it or not, the result is the same as soon as I put my make-up on. My skin didn't become prettier, either. So it's a good cream for "no make-up days" with maybe just a little bit of loose powder over it, but nothing one *needs* to have. I wouldn't use it the way it's being advertised btw, which would be to apply it over your make-up, instead of under. Dunno if I'll buy this again. Probably won't.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Helping Hands
rated 2 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:34:00 AM

It was nothing better than my drugstore hand cream, only that the latter usually smells better. I used it up, but didn't buy again.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Whipstick
rated 2 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:34:00 AM

I had two of these at home and while I enjoyed the chocolate smell and its texture, I didn't grow overly fond of it. I used up one and ended up throwing away the other only half-finished because it was past its best-before date. Quite sad. Not gonna buy again.

Treatments -Artistry - Blemish Control
rated 2 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:08:00 AM

I am normally very happy with my skin, but depending on time of the month, stress and diet, it can break out occasionally. So I once (two years ago?!) bought this little tube with a transparent gel which goes on your spots wherever you have them. Honestly, I'm not too happy with this, especially in direct comparison to other products such as Clinique's Touch Stick. I wouldn't know what difference it makes, except sterilizing. Neither can it stop spots from growing, nor is it able to make them vanish any quicker. Not gonna buy again.

Blush -Artistry - Powder Blush
rated 4 of 5
soleil_kitty 4/16/2008 5:07:00 AM

This is the first piece of make-up I used by Artistry and I bought it out of sheer curiosity. I have this in "Aglow" which, to me, is more of a contouring powder than a blush. It adds a lovely, very subtle shimmer and truly lets your skin glow. I only know of similar products by MAC, as far as I know they're the only ones having shimmer powders (NOT bronzers!) and this Artistry Blush is certainly a cheaper alternative. Only downside: you *have* to buy an Artistry Make-up box for it, which will hold either two blushes or four eyeshadows or one/two combined. You'll get the blush delivered in only its pan, without a proper storing package or brush. Also, your average blush brush probably won't fit to the pan, so that you can properly apply it. Still: I'll buy again. Loving it!
