Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eye Shadow Trio Word Of Mouth

Pretty good, for a MAC trio. Not the greatest, not the worst, but just alright. The lightest shade is an awesome highlighter (and shows up very well if applied with good primer underneath) and the blue-grey crease color is very pretty and flattering on my fairly light skin. The big problem, though, is the gold middle color, which may as well be craft store glitter, considering all the fallout and the generally unattractive look it gives. If you're contemplating buying one of the trios as opposed to the duos (since you get 1 more color for the same price), I advice you to stick with the duos instead, since all the trios contain either a silver or gold sparkly band which is basically impossible to use and unflattering. Either way, you are only going to get two wearable shades per compact, and, in my opinion, the duos have much better color selections to begin with.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum

I'm not too impressed with this one. This product makes hair extremely greasy (seriously!) and weighs it down. It does defrizz, though. I'm assuming this product is likely targeted at women with thick, curly hair, whose hair won't appear greasy with just a dime-sized portion. Since I have thin, straight hair, this serum isn't doing it for me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Tilt
lilaclufy19 12/7/2008 7:02:00 PM
I know this product has been receiving generally positive reviews, but I'm frankly disappointed with it. It isn't very pigmented, the color is definitely not wearable (unless you prefer the Halloween-look for everyday) and the shadow only applies vibrantly when wet (at which point it is nearly impossible to blend). If I'd known that shadows can be returned, I would have as soon as I bought this. Now, I'm just left with an entire pan of something I don't use. I won't re-purchase.

Great pigmentation, long-lasting, beautiful color and subtle finish. This is definitely one of the better MAC shadows out there. Will definitely re-purchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

I really liked this mascara, since it's probably one of the best I've ever used. It actually does what it states on the tube, which, in the cosmetics industry, is rare. It does flake though, which is a hassle and looks rather unattractive. It is great for day wear, but if you like to spend long nights out on the town, you might want to chose something longer-lasting with less product fallout. Overall, though, great for the average woman.

Palettes -Coastal Scents - 88 eyeshadow palette

First, I'd like to state that I have the ultra shimmer palette, and have yet to purchase the original/matte/satin one: For the price you're paying, this palette is definitely worth the purchase. The colors are highly pigmented, the shades are varied, and the possibities are endless. I do have a few complaints, though. First, this palette seems to have few to some lustre shades (which I avoid because of the fallout) and the shimmer in the rest of the shades is just a little too much for me. I sort of wished I'd bought the original palette, because after using this one, I've decided that I'm not too big a fan of sparkly/shimmer eyeshadow. Another problem is that too many of the shades are in the green-blue spectrum, which aren't really to be used on a regular basis (I'm more of a neutral, understated type of girl). If you like vibrant, look-at-me colors, this palette is for you, but if you like wearable, work-appropriate colors, you might want to opt for the neutral 25 palette.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Honey Lust (Lustre)
lilaclufy19 12/7/2008 6:23:00 PM
Of all the MAC eyeshadows I own, this is probably the worst one. Yeah, the color is very attractive and eye-catching in the pan, but on the lids, the color doesn't show up much. The huge problem with this shadow, though, is the fallout. Beware of lustre shadows, ladies. These will end up all over your face by the end of the day, instead of on your eyelids. I do find that if you apply this on top of another shadow (I usually use this over my Jest) with water (to avoid fallout) it will stay on for most of the day without creasing. Overall, this is one of the more disappointing MAC shadows.
