Lipstick -Revlon - Absolutely Fabulous LipCream

Not a bad lipstick, just have to find the right color. I think the scent kind of pleasant. Can go on a little bit chalky if applied directly from the tube.

Lip Treatments -BeneFit Cosmetics - Smoooch [DISCONTINUED]
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 10:13:00 PM
This is the only lip treatment I'm really sold on. It lasts longer than Origins Lip Remedy and doesn't have any sort of scent or that mentholly feel that I hate. Even when my lips get flaky dry & peel off in chunks of skin (ew!) and waxy balms don't do a thing but get stuck in the creases, I just rub this stuff in and it takes it all off till my lips are smooth again. MuaH! smoOoch!

Blush -Neutrogena - Blushing Mocha
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 10:09:00 PM
This is the only blush I'll buy from the drugstore. It's the perfect glowy, easily blendable shade and goes on nice and smooth. Doesn't break me out, either! I use a Lorac blush brush with it instead of that tiny compact brush. It lasts and looks beautiful always.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #116 Blush Brush
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 10:05:00 PM
Love this. It's not the fluffy brush for powder blushes. I asked the MA for a good foundation brush, and instead of 190, she gave me this one. It's the perfect size for blending cream blush or applying highlighter and hasn't shed on me yet, plus it's very soft.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Mascara
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 9:40:00 PM
Fabulous mascara for lengthening! I can actually see what it does, little tiny fibers stick to your lashes, so it's kind of like lash extensions. I think the difference is pretty dramatic, only problem is not a curler. If not applied just right, can get clumpy & thick. Or, if you don't cover completely with step 2, the white fibers are still visible sometimes. I think it's a copy of Bourjois coup de theatre, but this is cheaper and works fine.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Eyes Eye Shadow
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 8:00:00 PM
This stuff never has as much pigment or blendability as higher end shadows, but I always end up picking one up at the drugstore when a pretty color catches my eye. Alas, it's never the same on my eyelids as it is in the pan, especially bright or shimmery shades.

Eye Shadow -Jane - Eye Zings

Good stuff for the cheap price, simple packaging. the light colors don't really show up, not enough pigment but darker colors usually work well. kind of tough to blend, so gotta work with a light hand.

Conditioner -Redken - All Soft Conditioner
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 7:09:00 PM
Makes my hair soft, but adds a little weight. The smell kind of reminds me of a banana cream. I'm not crazy about the packaging, but it's a nice conditioner, seems to work well.

Shampoo -Nexxus - Therappe Shampoo
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 7:00:00 PM
Just a good shampoo, nothing miraculous. Lovely scent, nice lather, moisturizing and good quality stuff. I had the big pump bottle which is my favorite bc it's easiest to use.

Shampoo -Aveda - Sap Moss Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 6:54:00 PM
This stuff has an incredible scent, but too peculiar for some so smell before you buy! It's a great alternative to most shampoos that smell too floral or fruity. Lathers beautifully and is very thick and rich, a golden swirly color.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - Anti-Bac Medicated Cleanser
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 3:12:00 AM
Back when my skin was crazy oily & acneic, my facialist recommended this. It's weird to use, just a tiny tiny amound foams up, and then you have to repeat. (2 applications, one to remove dirt & oil, 2 to medicate & kill bacteria.) It seemed to clear up, but beware! Dermalogica touts that it contains triclosan, once considered a great anti-bac ingredient, but lately it's been discovered that bacteria can develop a tolerance for it much like topical prescription erythromycin.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip Boost intense moisture therapy
curiouslilannie 12/10/2003 1:46:00 AM
This stuff is okay, except for the fact that it separates in the tube and the moisture doesn't last long on my lips so I need to reapply too often. Other than that, it's nice because it's not waxy or greasy.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash
curiouslilannie 12/9/2003 4:42:00 AM
This stuff is SO drying! It made existing pimples more noticeable on my oily face because the skin around blemishes was drying up and flaking. It's strong, irritating, and no good for sensitive skin.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
curiouslilannie 12/6/2003 4:23:00 AM
Benetint is one of my all-time favorite products. It's the original that inspired so many knockoffs in the drugstore. I've tried the others and Benetint blends easiest, smells the best (rosy), and looks most natural. You can layer it for more color and that little bottle lasts and lasts. I'd definitely buy again--in fact I have to, because my last one was stolen!
