Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation
Tindra78 6/8/2009 6:51:00 PM
This foundation is nothing special! I wanted to try it because it is oil-free, but it doesn't suit my skin at all; I have very oily skin with large pores and this foundation does not hide them as I expect a foundation to do....actually it becomes just like a extra "layer" on the skin. This foundation also feels thick and dry in some strange way.... I also couldn't find my colour, if you have a skintone that is a little in between, there is no foundation to buy - you'll have to buy two ones and mix them. Expensive for such a useless product... Update 2012-11-25. I got this as a sample this week, and wanted to see if i like it better now, some years later... But this dries SO quickly and leaves ny nose area just as "deep-pore-looking" as before, or worse! This just doesn't help me at my problem-areas... It does cover though, but that's not enough.....
This cleanser does not clean my skin! It is a thick cream, and you need to take a lot every time to get at least a little result... When you put it on the skin it "disappears" in some way, as cream-cleansers usually do... It has nice scrub-granules, but it is not enough... It just doesn't cleanse, and it doesn't foam (as i like) and it is almost useless i'm really disappointed....won't buy it again!!
This is a ok cleanser, but nothing special.....scrubs a little, but not good enough in my opinion....in some way it does not leave the skin feeling that clean as i would like....the skin just doesn't feel washed properly. It foams if you like, so it can become more "mild" if you like it like that.... i think this cleanser could suit oily skin maybe, but not mine acne prone skin.. wont buy it again,
Masks -DDF - Sulfur Therapeutic Mask [DISCONTINUED]
Tindra78 6/5/2009 6:11:00 PM
One of my favourites beside PTR's sulfur mask!! Really, really good for acne prone skin, leaves the skin feeling clean and calmed! Even perfect to kill one occasional pimple during the night....
This is a good acne-cleanser. It contains BPO 2,5% and has small "scrub granules" that takes away the dead cells in the skin. But i think that those small granules are a little to "weak"/ "soft" for me and do not scrub well enough compared to other scrubs.... For example PTR's acne scrub is far better than this....it foams better and leaves the skin more "clean" (at least it feelt like that)... But overall this is a good cleanser too!
Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer (Oil Free)
Tindra78 6/5/2009 5:46:00 PM
This is a thin and simple moisturizer, and that's why I like it. It is perfect during the summer. I also think that it hides my large pores a little, at least it doesn't enlarge them as many moisturizers do...in some way it gives a matifying and pure result. Gives no breakouts... I like it!! Smells nice and neutral...
Scrubs -Peter Thomas Roth - Pumice Medicated Acne Scrub
Tindra78 6/5/2009 5:34:00 PM
Really, really good - this is my favourite cleanser!!! You can use it like a scrub or make a foam of it and use it as a more mild cleanser! The BPO 2,5% is perfect for my acne skin! Can't be without this one! LOVE!!!!! :)
This is a really good mask, and the skin feels clean and calmed afterwards. I have really senisitive acne-prone skin and this is one of few masks that really helps me prevent breakouts.... Sulfur 10%. VERY GOOD MASK, one of my favourites beside the DDF-mask. :)
Liquid -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF
Tindra78 8/22/2008 7:03:00 PM
When it comes to FLUID foundations this is one of the best ones! Right now I have discovered powder foundations and like them more, but when it comes to fluid.....this is one of the best; GREAT coverage, contains spf, minimizes pores on the nose....covers all kinds of imperfections. Can feel a little "thick" in some way, just as you colud "feel" the spf....but it is still very, very good! Recommended!
This is a OK foundation, but not as good as I expected. And not for that price... does not hide enlarged pores good enough either... Would not recommend it...
Treatments (Eye) -Clarins - Sun Wrinkle Control Eye Contour Care SPF 30
Tindra78 8/22/2008 6:40:00 PM
Very good!! Better than Sheseido eye spf 25 and Biotherms Eye cream for the sun... Perfect under makeup and leaves a hydrated eye area...!! Will buy this again next year when the sun is back! :)
Treatments -Shiseido - Shiseido Pureness Pore Minimising Cooling Essence
Tindra78 8/4/2008 5:27:00 PM
Useless!! Does not minimize at all! :(
Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
Tindra78 8/4/2008 5:19:00 PM
Completely useless! Sorry, but I feel that this product does not keep the promise about "pore minimizing" at all! Clinique is better.....
I LOVE this powder!! I have used it for years and compared to MANY others it suits my skin very well. I have oily/acne-prone skin that has got many "imperfections" that are hard to hide. But this powder helps to hide them because it evens out the skintone in a unusual way... I just love this product!! :) Update 2013-04-17: Sometimes you have to try new stuff to be able to compare better! Yes, cornstarch minimizes pores a little but does NOT mattify as good as for example silica powders... So I have to lower the rating, cause my extremely oily skin needs tougher stuff.
Does not even the skin texture as much as some other powders do... I have acne-prone skin and enlarged pores....this powder just did NOTHING to my problem......The pores on the nose even got larger! But my favourite I.D.-powder Mineral Veil does the job very good, I have used it for years. It is fun to try new products, but this just reminded me of why Mineral veil is so wonderful.... :) I would not recommend this powder, because it's not better than any other......if you ask me. :)
