Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 4 of 5

Overall, this is a great product. I know it's been helpful to a lot of people, including me. I don't like the packaging but I'd buy it again. I love that there's no color to this. Even if I just want to wear a pretty eyeliner w/o shadow, I dab a bit of PP on the lashline first then apply e/l, helps it to last and last!

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
rated 3 of 5
MyBeehive 6/28/2009 1:35:00 PM

UDPP Sin is an ok product, I'm not in love with it. Shimmery base for evening time eyeshadow, nothing too special and the packaging has obvious flaws. I'm actually starting to resent all doe foot applicators, I find them messy and imprecise. I much prefer a little brush applicator on lipgloss and stuff. Plus sometimes I get the sensation that they need a wash, does anyone take time to wash off their l/g applicators? Maybe it's just me...Ok, mini rant over.

Eyeliner -Lancome - Artliner
rated 4 of 5
MyBeehive 6/28/2009 1:22:00 PM

I love Artliners! The black is my go-to product for cat eye/ winged liner. It's easy to use and lasts a respectable amount of time for the price. The color is deep and dark and I like the packaging. If I really need this to stay on a really long time, I use Too faced shadow ins or UDPP use the artliner for a dramatic line, then apply e/s OVER it, being gentle at the liner part, then line again over the e/s. This won't budge!

Lipstick -MAC - Blow Dry (Blonde Brunette Redhead)
rated 4 of 5
MyBeehive 6/27/2009 2:14:00 AM

As other reviewers have noted before me, this l/s really warms up the lips/complexion. It's a sheer coral/pink shade in the lustre formula that I like. It is sheer, so the first swipe deposits only a pretty sheen and a touch of warmth with a tinge of orangey coral. But several swipes deposits a pretty color, and no need for sticky gloss over it! Overall I love this and will wear it all summer!

Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Smoky Lash - Extra Black
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 6/19/2009 3:20:00 PM

I didn't expect to love this at all, but I do! The formula I actually like better than the original smoky lash, it makes my lashes long, full and pretty after one good coat. I happened to be in Sephora when this product first launched and asked the SA if there was a sample, she cracked a brand new one open for me so I wasn't afraid to use the wand. I never usually use mascara in the stores, gross!, and the cheapo disposible ones take away from the wand intented for that mascara...Anyway, I loved it right away and bought one. Wore 2 coats that night to the gym. After working out and 10 laps in the pool I only had the slightest smudgies under my eyes. But more important than that is that my lashes still looked awesome!! Another thing I love is that it dries quick once you apply so you don't have to wait to blink. So, yes, this is good stuff and I def. recommend it to active types or anyone that wants a last-through-anything mascara. I love it. It's $22. Update- I've been using it for 2 weeks or so now and it still hasn't disappointed! My HG mascara, I believe! :)

These are great little eye brushes, I use mine all the time. If you're thinking of buying these, stop thinking and buy them, they are CHEAP and good!

Lip Liners -Sephora - Slim Lip Pencils
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 5/3/2009 3:19:00 PM

I'm on my 4th one of the nude color and my second one of the pale pink. Love these pencils, they are cheap, feel good, and work great! I hope Sephora doesn't get rid of them for that new formula pencils they just launched...

Lip Liners -NARS - Jilted Love
rated 2 of 5
MyBeehive 5/3/2009 3:14:00 PM

I guess it's an unpopular opinion here but I hate the formula of this liner. Yes, the color is fab, but the pencil is chalky, drying and useless, on my lips anyway... Maybe I should've tried wearing gloss on top of it or whatever before swapping it off, but for the price, not worth it. And if your lips are at all chapped, this will look awful. There are far better liners in the world.

Lipstick -Too Faced - Drop Dead Red
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 4/29/2009 1:31:00 PM

I adore this bold, berry goth red lipstick! Firstly, it's in the cutest tube, metallic pink with a rhinestone on top of the cover, sooo cute! It smells really nice too, like fresh strawberries in champagne. I rarely do a dark red lip- but this would suit that purpose with lasting power! What I usually do is line moisturized lips and dab Drop Dead Red on and blend on so it works like a deep berry stain, so pretty. Very buildable color, pigmented, creamy, a dream. I'm glad I caved for this one!!!

Polishes -MAC - Seasonal Peach
rated 1 of 5
MyBeehive 4/26/2009 4:30:00 PM

I am continually dissapointed by MAC nailpolish. This is a really crappy formula. The reviewer below me says you need 3-4 coats to make it look it look nice...frankly, that's ridiculous for the price you pay. $11 for a small bottle is too much, find a good dupe and get that instead. I am reluctant to ever buy MAC n/p again, but we'll see...they'll probably come out with something great looking again and I'll buy it and swap it after... :/

Polishes -MAC - Peppermint Patti
rated 2 of 5
MyBeehive 4/26/2009 4:21:00 PM

I was so excited about this color when it first came out, it looks so pretty in the bottle and I love unusual creme colors, not really a glitter person. But the formula is crap, really. The brush (and amt in bottle) is small, application is a streaky mess. After two coats it did look pretty, but chipped soon after and I was very dissapointed overall. I wanted a dupe for the color but couldn't find a true match...but in the search I found a waaay better similar color with superior application, my new love- BB Couture for nails!!! Love this company, it's made in the USA (you can get this from the Overall Beauty website), applies smooth and creamy, 2 coats does the job so beautifully that you can turn your back on MAC n/p forever! The color is Laguna Lagoon, a minty creme green loveliness. It's a warmer tone (a tad more lime in the mix) than Peppermint Patti, but still a fresh spring green. SOOO Pretty!

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre - Electro (Neo Sci-Fi Collection)
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 4/26/2009 3:01:00 PM

I love this bright orange lipstick!! I have Morange too, and they're very different. Electro has creamy luster finish, great pigmentation / coverage. I love wearing this with flawless matte skin (NC15), black cat eye liner, tons of mascara and this lipstick, sooo hot!! I don't use blush or anything when I wear this, this is the pop of color. Morange I find a bit drying, I like this one much much better.

Primer/ Corrector -Tarte - Clean Slate
rated 4 of 5
MyBeehive 4/5/2009 12:33:00 PM

I didn't have high hopes for this product, as I am pretty picky with primers, but overall I do like it. I got the deluxe sample from sephora, so I don't know as to the package quality, but the texture is nice, it is not drying and does ease foundation application. It has a much nicer texture than the smashbox primer. I put a pea-sized dollop on the back of my hand and apply all over the face with my fingers, blending it in with little circular motions, I let it sink in for about a minute and then apply foundation. If you have drier skin, you'll like this!

Lip Treatments -DuWop - Prime Venom
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 4/3/2009 11:56:00 AM

I just got a little sample thing from Sephora, and I'm using it 3x a day since getting it! Def want a full sized product now! It smells/tastes great, has a little bit of that Lip Venom sting which I really like, but if you don't then don't buy this. Generally I really WANT to like plumpers, but I don't really *do* lip gloss (sticky nasty-feeling mess on your mouth?! Seriously ladies, how do you eat/kiss with all that goop of your lips?!? LOL ;), so a matte plumper that goes UNDER your other lip products is such a cool idea. In fact, I actually like this better than my Guerlain kisskiss lip primer. I line my lips in the a.m. and let it sit a few mins, then use the prime venom all over my lips and drive to work or whatever. Then I put l/s on later and it stays on very well! Another thing I like is, while it doesn't significantly plump lips up, it does enough to fill in those annoying lip lines that come with the years! Love that. That's probably why the lipsticks stays on better too.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Feather LIght Brush
rated 5 of 5
MyBeehive 3/11/2009 12:06:00 AM

I don't really use BE products in general, but I swapped for this brush because I have a thing for duo-fiber stippling brushes. The more I use it, the more I like it! The shorter handle is awesome, the head is just dense enough. I love to use this brush with my MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation, I just pump out one dollop on the back of my hand and use the brush to stipple all over my face and then buff. Perfect foundation application in under 2 mins! I'd also image this to be great for blush, but I haven't used this particular brush, as I use the 188 currently.
