Gels/Soaps -LUSH - sunny citrus soap
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 1/8/2004 11:41:00 PM

the perfect happy soap! bright yellow, smells like lemons and oranges, and feels so soft and clean. the lather is very rich and unlike many lush soaps, there isn't any harsh leaves or seeds inside, so it's very non-abrasive and gentle. oone of my favorite lush soaps of all time.

Scrubs -LUSH - Buffy the Backside Slayer
rated 5 of 5

god i love this scrub!! it feels so sexy and luxurious. at first the sand is a little rough but then the cocoa butter just melts into my skin and smooths the sand in more gently. it really gets rid of dull or bumpy skin. the cocoa butter is so moisturizing and rich that it leaves a soft film (not greasy at all!) even after rinsing. all i do is towel dry--no lotion neeeded. the bar is large enough for several uses as long as i don't leave it in the shower to melt away.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Hot Java bath ballistic
rated 3 of 5
triangleX 1/8/2004 11:20:00 PM

i don't think i'll repurchase this ballistic. i did love the unique spicy weird scent (i have no idea what it is exactly but it's nothing like coffee), and it does fizz nicely....plus the water turns a beautiful dark orange/pink. but i hate the pieces of bark or whatever they are! there seems to be a hundred of them and they're large enough to clog a drain. i didn't know this and had to clean all of them up by hand before draining the tub. too much of a hassle.

Deodorants -LUSH - Fuwari Deodorant Bar
rated 1 of 5
triangleX 1/5/2004 9:48:00 PM

i am so upset to say that this is the first lush product that i cannot use and would never ever recommend. it smells so pretty and has an unusual appearance but within one minute of applying my underarms were bright red and burning like fire. i hadn't even shaved that morning either! i tried to wash it off as quickly as possible and put vinegar on my skin (a known aid/remedy for skin burns) but my pits were red and painful for two days. don't buy this one!!!!

Palettes -Christian Dior - Dior Sparkling
rated 3 of 5
triangleX 1/4/2004 5:58:00 PM

i saw this at nordstrom's and thought it was the most beautiful lip gloss palette ever. it looks very expensive and glamerous and i loved the gemstones used to spell DIOR. unfortunately the SA didn't have a sample available to try so i had no idea what the colors would look like against my skin. stupid me i bought it anyway b/c i couldn't resist that fancy and overtly garrish palette. i picked show-off, which looks like scary bright maganeta and bright orange in the palette but the SA assured me they were absolutely sheer. they are not!! i looked like a clown, and i really don't see how anyone could look nice in those colors. i gave this a 3 b/c the gloss is wonderful in every other way (just not color) and the compact is stunning.

Fragrances -Burberry - Brit
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 1/4/2004 5:43:00 PM

i loved this in the eau de toilette when i tried a sample at nordstrom's but i ended up buying the eau de parfum, even though it was more expensive. i'm glad i did b/c the scent is somewhat richer and stronger with better staying power. this is one of the most unusual fragrances i've ever owned and i think it's so refreshing...not quite a floral but not a citrus. much more memorable than burberry touch, which smells so mainstream. plus i adore the the plaid bottle as well...it's classic.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Dream Cream
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/19/2003 11:56:00 PM

i am the first to admit that i am biased in favor of anything lush, but i can say with all honesty and sincerity that this is a miracle cream. i tell everyone i possibly can about this stuff. my skin gets thrashed from outdoor living, cold weather, beach water and such...it actually feels painful. but anything i've tried(even the much hyped la mer body lotion) creates a nasty burning sensation when it touches my sensitive skin. dream cream is the one and only treatment i've found that doesn't burn or irritate. my skin feels so soothed after i put this on, and it calms the redness too. it's very thick and rich so i'd never use it on my face but it's perfectly gentle for everything else.

Powders -LUSH - Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
rated 4 of 5
triangleX 12/19/2003 10:36:00 PM

i agree with the other reviewers-the flimsy shaker dispenser is annoying. even when fully closed the powder still escapes...that's why i give it a 4 instead of a 5. however, i cannot find another body powder that has such a brilliant scent. very warm and spicy and sexy...i always get compliments when i wear this. another plus for this powder is the gentle formula, which doesn't irritate at all like other fragrant powders. i use it everywhere- i even sprinkle it in my lingerie drawer instead of using sachets.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Potion lotion
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/19/2003 10:16:00 PM

sometimes i get so sick of all the boring predictable vanilla and food based scents that everyone seems to wear. i've been searching for something unique and memorable and this lotion is perfect. it's beautifully scented with a deep floral base (nothing heavy or old ladyish thank god)and the rich notes of carnations. it's even sort of spicy smelling (i couldn't detect the clove though). best of all, the scent lasts such a long time that perfume wasn't necessary. mine was not at all thin or runny, but rather had a medium consistancy that absorbed really well into my skin w/o any greasiness. plus, the bottle packaging is a nice change from lush's other lotion packaging.

Mascara -Eyeko - Eyeko's Mascara
rated 3 of 5
triangleX 12/16/2003 7:22:00 PM

i only bought this mascara b/c the tube is so cute...i like that it looks like a silver and pink oil paint tube. it's so hard to work with though! the wand has very sparse bristles that are in a dense spiral shape, so it was almost impossible to get my lashes coated evenly without all of them clumping together. i gave it a 3 out of 5 only b/c once it was on it didn't smudge or smear and i liked that it is made up of natural oils.

Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universelle Compacte
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/14/2003 6:34:00 PM

i have used this pressed powder for a few years and it is without a doubt the nicest powder around. it's very finely milled and silky so it goes on evenly without caking up. i use the lightest color, translucent sun, which is yellow based so it never turns dark or orange on my skin. it is expensive but i only use a little bit with a powder brush to touch up throughout the day so it lasts me several months before i have to repurchase. i love the simple black compact too-very classic, like all chanel packaging.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Transparent
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/4/2003 9:43:00 PM

i have the rouge pur transparent in number 25, which looks like a scary blackberry color but is actually a sheer rich plummy red. very sheer so that it looks natural and sexy, not matte and overdone. i think this is the perfect red tone for any skin type b/c it's so flattering. my skin is steroetypically british-fair hair, fair skin, light eyes and i can pull this off just fine without looking garrish. YSL is such a brilliant company-their lipsticks are beautifully pigmented, smells nice, taste good, and last a decent amount of time before i need to reapply.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Snowcake
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/4/2003 9:37:00 PM

i wish lush would carry this soap year round, not just at christmas...it's so rich and sexy. it smells exactly like one of those chinese almond fortune cookies with honey on the top. very feminine and warm. it's actually sort of pretty too with a thin layer of glitter pieces on top. this one was more moisturizing than i thought it would be-my skin felt very soft afterwards. i think i'll stock up on this one so i don't run out.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Figs and leaves soap
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/4/2003 9:31:00 PM

this is such an odd looking soap-kind of ugly. it's light brown and filled with little seeds....the whole soap is even wrapped in an actual big fig leaf. i'm really intrigued by it though b/c it's so hideous. the smell is very faint and light, which is good b/c i wasn't too sure about figs in the first place. i'm pleased that this is such a lathering soap too since a lot of the lush soaps aren't big on the lather it seems. overall, i really do like this one, and would buy it again.

Scrubs -LUSH - Ocean Salt
rated 5 of 5
triangleX 12/4/2003 9:25:00 PM

this is the best facial scrub in the world! it's so nice and thick without being too harsh on my oily/sensitive skin. the little tub is small but i only use a tiny bit every other day so it lasts a long time. to make sure it doesn't hurt my skin i rub it between my fingertips first before applying it to my face-and i always rub very gently. it rinses really clean and leaves such a pretty glow. i love the unusual mixture of salts, lime, avocado-makes it smell beautiful like the sea and citrus. i will buy this again and would definetely recommend this to anyone with sensitive oily skin.
