Scrubs -Peter Thomas Roth - Botanical Buffing Beads

This scrub does a good job of polishing, rather than scrubbing, skin. It does seem to help w/ mild breakouts I have from working out. A nice product, but I am not sure if it's worth the $.

Styling Products -Phyto - Phytodefrisant
casia 4/21/2003 5:52:00 PM
Y'know...I was a big fan of the product years ago. I tried different things on and off anf returned to by beloved Phytodefrisant. I hated I don't know why. I don't know if my hair changed somehow or what happened, but I found it to have a dulling film, unpleasant feel on the hair, and it accentuated the frizz. I don't think it's been reformulated. Odd. So, recently I must say I do not recommend it.

Didn't do much to help straighten, nothing special.

Fragrances -BCBG Fragrance - All 4 fragrances- Star, Metro, Nature, Sexy
casia 4/21/2003 5:44:00 PM
I think all these fragrances smell cheap and icky--ON ME, no offense if you like them. They do have a "young" scent, but they remind me of something I'd get in junior high--when I had no vehicle, no money and had to get soemthing at Wal-mart for Friday at the movies. :)

Very good conditioner for dry hair. Smells good, penetrates well, detangles, love it.

Styling Products -Aveda - Hang Straight [DISCONTINUED]
casia 4/21/2003 5:39:00 PM
This felt tacky, I didn't like the feeling. My hair seemed to have a dull coating. It was tricky to get enough to help (minimal help at that) straighten it yet not make it tacky.

Hair -Aveda - Color Conserve Shampoo & Conditioner

Loved the scent and consistency, but it made my scalp really, really itchy. Couldn't use it.

Hair -ARTec - blow silk
casia 4/21/2003 5:31:00 PM
Another good product from the Kiwi line. Detangles and shines, yet not too heavy as similar products of its kind. Good for hair in good condition to slightly dry.

Conditioner -ARTec - Kiwi Coloreflector Kiwi conditioner
casia 4/21/2003 5:30:00 PM
I used to use this before I found other stuff. If you hair is slightly dry, needing some shine, by all means go for this. I loved it, I just needed something w/ more repair power. Smells wonderful too, but doesn't linger or overpower. The shampoo is good too and is a nice match.

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis Nail Color
casia 4/21/2003 5:25:00 PM
Chanel nail polis is my all-time favorite, the colors are SO pretty. The one brand where I think you cannot find low-end look-alikes of the colors. Long-lasting, many unique shades. COMPLAINT: The super, ultra-metallic shades take a very, very long time to dry so they are almost out of the question, unless I'm ready for a 2 hr. phone call and can let them dry.

Polishes -Clarins - Nail Colour

I find Clarins to have excellent nail color. Pretty shades, long lasting. Pricey, but a nice extra to give yourself now and then.

Blush -Lancome - Blush Subtil (all colors)
casia 4/21/2003 5:20:00 PM
I like when I get these w/ a GWP, but I wouldn't buy it on my own. I am not crazy about the range colors (although a few are very pretty!) and I find it a bit cakey without extra attention in application. Still above average.

Hair Styling Tools -Mason Pearson - Handy Bristle & Nylon Brush
casia 4/21/2003 5:15:00 PM
My hair has got to be the worst on the planet. So unruly and crazy! It would be damaged if I never had anything chemical done to it in my life. It's naturally frizzy/curly/who knows what's next, and I blow it straight. I broke down and got this brush. It made a huge difference! I didn't realize it until I used my old brush--yuck. It was a "hair glide", not a hair brush, it just went over the surface. The MP brush really grabs the hair, esp. elpful when pulling it straight for drying. My hair is easier to style and in better shape. If you have the $70, go for it.

Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder
casia 4/21/2003 5:09:00 PM
This is my favorite bronzer. I se it with blush or as blush. It isn't shimmery, comes out very natural. I have fair skin and I use medium, I may even try light although medium was still very natural. One of the few products I've purchased several times. I find BB products to be average in general, but this product is wonderful. Naturally colorful and lasting. Round, semi-large container is nice too, helps you pick it up with the brush.

Treatments -Poshe - AHA Cuticle Care
casia 4/21/2003 5:00:00 PM
I find this to be a really good cuticle treatment, and I should know since my are the raggiest! I think w/ any cuticle treatments, you have to apply them very frequently to get results and tame your skin. It was only $6 at Ulta and the tube lasts a long time. I keep it in the car and use it in traffic. Very good product! UPDATE: I've come back to this product after experimenting with other products. Shortly after my first review years ago, it went up to $14 out of the blue, now it is down to $10. I don't know why it fluctuates. Who ever heard of "market price" cuticle cream? Anyway, when used daily, it does an incredible job on my raggedy, crunchy, flaky skin around the nails. I think it makes my nails stronger, too.
