I really like the scent- very citrusy & like a Dreamsicle, too. My hair feels soft & smooth. Every time I try to cheap out on shampoo or styling products, I always regret it. Toni & Guy's stuff are some of the best. I'll definitely put this one in the rotation.
I used I & II cleanser and currently use III (30%)These are the only products combined w/ the lotions(also moved up to III on this) that have COMPLETELY cleared up all acne breakouts for me. I've gone to a dermatologist since I was in high school for acne/ cysts(now 38) and have not had one cyst in 3 years!Cannot more highly praise this product. Does cause a bit of redness, but I will certainly trade redness for perfectly smooth skin any day!
Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown
Pamann 3/31/2004 8:08:00 PM
Update: 4/26/05 This pencil is a bit difficult to apply with a light hand and is quite a chore to blend well. I found some softer easier to blend pencils, I prefer.
This used to be my HG foundation. Perfect color match (bone) and really stayed on my oily skin well- even after 12 hrs or more. Great full coverage-nice smooth application. Then I reached an age(37)and it started to settle into every line by the end of the day-it made look absolutely weary. I would have just continued to buy this stuff forever thinking this is the best I can do until I found MUA and now I have a new HG!
This is my first negative review. I sent it back to Gloss. The consistency is too tacky/ gluey and it just clumped something awful. So I used my (great SK ) lash comb on them and still I was't pleased with the outcome. Also left mascara shadows under my eyes. Everyone loves MAC products and I wanted to too- but not this one. The color was also weird/disappointing.
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Healthy Body Complexion Moisturizing Lotion
Pamann 3/23/2004 5:02:00 PM
This is the best body lotion I've tried in a long time. It isn't super moisturizing, but definitely smooths the red bumps on my upper arms and thighs. Most lotions break out my chest or posterior- this didn't cause any redness or breakouts! Worth a try for the money (less than 4$ at WalMart for 24.5 oz!)
Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets
Pamann 3/23/2004 10:40:00 AM
They're OK. Better than a tissue or paper towel- but not much. Expensive for what they are ( tiny plastic? sheets) and they do lift make up off my nose. But what can an oily girl do. When I do re- apply powder it's not as cakey as when I don't blot. Would repurchase until something better comes along.
I was not an e/s brush girl- but now I am! A little frustrating in the beginning (too dark of a crease shadow that went on too dark w/ the brush.) But now I can see what a huge difference in blending it makes w/o all the tugging of a sponge app. I think this is very gentle on already (sundamaged) crepey lids. Nice smoothing effect. I highly recommend!
I really like this eye gel- it works great for me. It is the only one I can use under make up- but I use it at night as well. Helps keep fine lines hidden when not wearing make up- and makes my foundation blend more subtly close to the eye. Not tremendous reparitive qualities- yet to find one that is. Would (and have) repurchased.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth Nourishing Nail Polish
Pamann 3/17/2004 8:47:00 PM
This is the only stuff that helps my nails grow. It should be applied every day for best results. My nails get so long I actually have to cut them back! Remove every 3-5 days to keep the pink accent glaze it's pinkest- makes your nails look healthy! Would (and have) purchased again.
This is one of my staples. Have tried (and still try)others but this has a very faint pinky glow to it that doesn't look too made up. I don't like to look too made up and I've found that blush is one thing that can really make or break me. Definitely will need a stronger color for evening, but this is great for light coloring girls and days.
I have purchased at least 10 or more of these. I use them as eye liner in Stone or there was another brown I liked. You can apply them over pencil as well, and they give a nice smoky look with less smearing or transferring to the under eye. It will be a sad, sad day when I run through my last one(bought the last three half price, yeah! Discontinued- boo! Let the new quest begin.
This is one of my all time favorite fragrances. I began using it in my 20's and it's always 'spoken to me'.It is mature in the sense that it's a serious, complicated blend, however nothing about it says 'old' to me. The notes:Florals, woods, spices and greens. The drydown is just phenomenal! Nothing like it!! A really unique fragrance for women who don't mind standing out in a crowd.
I think this is a very summery, light scent. It is citrusy which I love, and I wear it with Luna bleau special edition vanilla on my hands, and the mix is wonderful! I always get compliments on it! And more important it smells great to me!
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation
Pamann 3/10/2004 12:15:00 PM
(update/edit) I've now used this foundation for over a year, and am elevating it to HG status. My skin type: oily/ combo/ acne prone.I also have large pores on my nose and immediate cheek area. This does not break me out. I would describe the coverage as full to medium- it easily and naturally covers any skin discoloration or blemish without any additional concealer. It has a lot of slip to it(silicones) which gives me the smoothest finish I've ever accomplished. Also very long lasting--if I apply PC skin balancing moisturizer under, my skin stays mostly matte all day! SPF of 20 with Titanium Dioxide. I do apply additional sunscreen under(not to my T, however). The best foundation ever! Many, many repurchases!!
