Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Mascara

I finally tried this mascara after hearing all the raves. I am wearing it right now, in fact, as I type up this review. I am really disappointed. This mascara didn't visibly improve the appearance of my lashes. It lengthened only a little bit and didn't thicken them at all!! In addition, my lashes are extremely hard and stiff to the point where they feel like they will break off (and I only applied about 2 coats). I was expecting so much more than this. Into the trash this goes. Two thumbs down.

Mascara -Prescriptives - False Eyelashes Plush Mascara

I have to be one of the few people who actually *didn't* like this mascara. It didn't do very much for me: didn't lengthen very well, didn't thicken, and it smeared. I honestly don't see what the big deal is about the mascara, unless the people who use it already have long, thick eyelashes and only want a little more color. I want my money back!

Brows -Lancome - Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet

This is hands-down the best brow pencil I've ever purchased, period!!! The color is a very natural brunette color that stays on without making your brows look fake. Plus the added brush on the end makes grooming a breeze! This brow pencil should last a very long time! Definitely give this one a try!

Blush -Prescriptives - Blush

OK, I admit I like buying makeup from makeup lines that determine your undertone and match all the best makeup colors for your skin. I was suckered into paying $16.50 for Desert Rose (Blue/Red family) which looked nice on my skin at first. But as the day went on, it turned orange, and it broke me out!! The blush is also so sheer, you really have to work at it so that it shows up on your skin, and I'm a PPP!! In addition, the packaging it comes in is very ugly: a cheap, plastic, grayish-brown, unfeminine compact. If you want nice blush, try another makeup line.

Liquid -Lancome - Adaptive [DISCONTINUED]
Kiwikava 3/4/2003 10:22:00 PM
OK, after hearing a few raves about this foundation, I decided to give it a try. The MA recommended the lightest shade, Balanced Cream 0. After trying it on, I was absolutely horrified at what I saw: it was a nasty, orangy-yellow, thick cakey mess all over my PPP face! I have pretty oily skin, but the powdery nature of this foundation brought out some dry spots I never thought I had. This stuff seriously just sat there on my face and made my pores really huge. It was screaming *FAKE*!!! I'm really glad I didn't buy into the hype and waste $25 for this. If you're thinking about getting this foundation, ask for a sample FIRST and wear it around for a little bit before you decide. A big thumbs down for this foundation.

Mascara -Lancome - Intencils

Hmmm, I have mixed feelings about this mascara. Initially when I bought it, it really made my lashes dark, long, and gorgeously thick. But, as time passed, the formula turned very wet and clumped and smeared all over the place. I think I may try Lancome's Magnificils next.

Liquid -Prescriptives - Oil Free Foundation

OK, I honestly tried to love this foundation, but it did NOT work. First off, Fresh Camellia (Blue-Red family), their lightest shade, was too pink and pale, and made my neutral-undertone skin look sickly. I've been colorprinted so many times, and every time I got put into a different color family (yellow/orange, red/orange/, red, blue/red)!! I noticed all their foundations are too pink, peach, or yellow. Second, this foundation claimed to control oil. It did NOT. 2 hours after wearing it, my face was a huge greasy mess. It was embarassing! I broke out horribly from this with bad cystic acne. I tried to touch up with powder, but my foundation smeared all over the place and looked just plain bad, so I had to take it off and put it on all over again! Finally, this stuff doesn't stand a chance against any rain or perspiration. It seriously streaks down your face like liquid chalk. This is the first foundation I've used that ever did this. Definitely NOT worth $32.00, in my opinion! Too bad I can't get my money back! I'm still on the search for the perfect oil-free, oil-control, Matte foundation that isn't too pink or yellow!!!
