Styling Products -L'Oreal - Paris alt.studio Out Of Bed
rated 2 of 5

Not very keen on this one. It's cloudy white and has a creamy texture, which is I think is one of the hardest consistencies to use for what it trys to achieve [bed head styles] -- difficult to use and work with without looking like you just put icing or creme in your hair. It also smells like chemicals, but in a fresh way, like a wild rose hand soap I have. Cheap and functional packaging though. Maybe I'm not using it right, will follow up. 3/10

Styling Products -Sebastian - Molding Mud
rated 5 of 5
Endit 12/29/2005 1:41:00 AM

This is excellent! It's like a light cream, and makes piecey and messy, bed head hair styles extremely easy. It also conditions hair when used, making it uber-soft. This has been said to countless products and may sound cliched, but you only need the smallest amount of this. Molding Mud takes it to the extreme. I barely use a pea size and it covers my whole head. Before careful though - using too much will make hair act like it was limp and greasy looking. Also, it smells very odd and disgusting, and will turn many people off. Kind of like rancid milk and plastic, but nothing that I can't handle, and it doesn't linger anyway. I normally use this on damp/wet hair, and unlike the directions advise, don't blowdry. I think it works better without heat. I have the limited edition version of this which comes in a round tub with a small styling pamphlet too. 9.5/10

Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head Headbanger
rated 3 of 5
Endit 12/28/2005 11:36:00 PM

I was suprised. It's a good spray wax, since it provides a good hold without feeling or looking scrunchy, greesy, or even waxy. It smells good too. I have thick hair so I was worried about the product "curing", but I guess it's all in how you use it. However, the bottle clogs, it's hard to work with, and you get too little of the product. Since I don't use it much, I won't buy it again, but I will use it up though. 7.6/10

Styling Products -Redken - Smooth Down Heat Glide ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
Endit 12/28/2005 5:46:00 PM

Along with Redken's Satinwear, this is excellent for blow drying. However, I don't like it because it has some hold and it's really oily (hard to remove if ever spilled and prone to build up). For these reasons I won't ever let it touch my iron. Plus my bottle leaks at the top somehow.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head Manipulator
rated 3 of 5
Endit 12/24/2005 3:59:00 AM

I've had the Manipulator for quite some time before I've deceided to review it. First off, the packaging is okay, so nothing to say there. It smells like pineapples and looks as good as it smells, which is amazing (love the light blue color). TiGi damn well knows how to market. The texture - sort of gunk like - I believe is a non-newtonian fluid, which is an interesting idea for any styling product. It flows like a liquid can, but has the consistency of a solid. However, it's difficult to use in hair and not the best hold either. I guess I will just play with and smell this stuff, and maybe use it when I run out of other styling products. 7/10

Fragrances -Paris Hilton - The Fragrance for Men
rated 4 of 5
Endit 12/24/2005 3:45:00 AM

I love this stuff. It is intensely fruity smelling and strong, but those two qualities I love. It could be confused for a women's scent, but whatever. It's a twist and fun scent. The fact that it's strong also means it lasts for a long time. If you like "manly" scents though I would stay away from this, it's really young and youthful. I usually don't get complemented or noticed for scents or anything, but with this, people have noticed. The only negative is who really wants to say they are wearing a fragrance from Paris Hilton when asked!? Potentially embarrassing. Another thing is the atomizer on the bottle looks nice, but constantly has a hard time spraying. When it does spray, too little comes out. I usually transfer my usual fragrance to a small atomizer that I have on hand, but the problem is worth mentioning.

Fragrance -Christian Dior - Fahrenheit
rated 5 of 5
Endit 12/24/2005 3:31:00 AM

Dior Fahrenheit is an amazing scent. It smells so outdoorsy and like somebody just captured the scent of nature. Definitley a great mossy cologne. It changes wickedly, and has just the right amount of spice too. Unfortuately it is a little older smelling and wears off quick. 9.7/10

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Sleek and Shine Weightless Anti-Frizz Serum
rated 4 of 5
Endit 12/11/2005 4:34:00 PM

Above average anti-frizz serum. The packaging is convenient, and it has that trademark Garnier Fructis indescribable smell to it. The product is of a slightly thicker than water consistency too. But the directions on the bottle kill this. The product specifically says "Apply uniformly to towel-dried or dry hair.", and when this happens, it gives an incredibly greasy look with no hold. I tried using it a second time in damp, slightly towel dried hair to see if it works better and it did! It did help with frizz and overall appearance, but not as much as it claimed. However, it does leave hair very soft and manageable, and works great as a light leave in treatment. The instructions are misleading though and should not be followed. While not a miracle, Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Weightless Anti-Frizz Serum still is a good, cheap product, but not for what it claims. Instead of making hair sleek and full of shine, it succeeds more at conditioning and making hair soft. 8.7/10

Lip Treatments -MAC - Lip Conditioner
rated 4 of 5
Endit 7/13/2005 1:48:00 AM

This is an okay lip balm, but I will have to use it more though. It's expensive lip balm for and I don't care if it's MAC or not! However, I was desperate. The texture is petroleum (so you know what to expect) and the squeeze tube is a little awkward for this, but it works. It feels too heavy on my lips sometimes though and it builds up gunk, but I think the product has more long term effects. Some balms do good and then disappear, but this one takes time for me. The smell is awesome too! It's vanilla, but nothing you can't handle (ignore the other reviews). I love it, and lucky for me, I can stand plenty of "bad" smelling products! MAC should reforumulate it to include more conditioning though.

Eye Makeup Remover -MAC - Pro Eye Makeup Remover
rated 1 of 5
Endit 7/11/2005 3:33:00 PM

While I originally loved this eye makeup remover and was raving about it, I hate it now! It didn't sting my eyes at first, but now it's starting to sting the area around my eye and although I don't think the stinging is as bad as everybody claims it to be, it still shouldn't do that at all. It's not an oily product and doesn't leave my eyes sticky, but it does sort of leave the skin near my eyes odd feeling after using it. I would never use this alone and not rinse my eyes after using it like MAC suggests you can do. Oh yeah, this does sort of foam if you rub it hard enough. Speaking of rubbing, you have to really scrub at your eyes to get things off since the power of this remover is horrible. I've tried putting it on a q-tip, a cotton pad like they suggest, and my fingers, but nothing is working and scrubbing your eyes isn't the safest thing to do. I only wear eyeliner (kohls) and go through all this hassle to remove them! I can't imagine what it would be like if I chose a waterproof eyeliner, but I can imagine how much this product would suck at removing them. The packing is really great though. It resembles an eye dropper and you won't be wasting with this. The style top is ideal for q-tips, but the drops that shoot out soak q-tips way to much and although it's good for that, you still have to use a lot for a cotton pad and even more since 1 q-tip or cotton pad won't clean everything off. In this sense, the eye dropper top is meaningless since you use lots of product anyways. I can't believe that MAC, or any company, even released this stuff! I like MAC, but this is a horrible product. It may be labeled pro, but only pro's probably know how to use it. I will NEVER repurchase this again unless MAC reformulates it and this is so far from HG status that it's obscene.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - Anti-Residue Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Endit 7/5/2005 7:51:00 AM

Almost HG material. Neutrogena's Anti-Residue Shampoo does a great job at cleaning hair, and taking out the bad stuff. It definitely does what it claims, and leaves hair with more shine as a bonus. But still be careful. This is NOT, in any way, to be used daily. It is quite stripping, and I've had some of my hair come out when using this shampoo. It also leaves my hair quite tangley and stiff, so using a conditioner after this is a must. My hair isn't colored, so I don't know what it would do to color, but I'd still be cautious. This is a weird product. For every good thing it does, something small bad happens. The smell, while not pleasing, isn't bad at all, and quite frankly, I think it's "bad" factor is overrated. I don't know what everybody is complaining about. Redken products smell worse. And even still, this is shampoo, not perfume! The smell doesn't linger. The bottle shape is pretty weird and unconventional but there's no way you're confusing this with something else (even though the shampoo inside is clear). Fortunately, the goods outweigh the bad here, and I would buy this again. 9/10

Styling Products -Garnier - Full Control Hairspray (ultra strong)
rated 1 of 5
Endit 6/29/2005 7:31:00 PM

I hate to say this to any product, but this thing is a piece of crap! Where do I start for the problems this thing has in spades? Well, first off, it is strong smelling and drives all of my friends away when I use it. If that wasn't bad enough, it leaves my hair VERY crunchy. I mean, gross, don't-even-want-to-touch-your-hair crunchy. It doesn't flake, but doesn't do anything good either. I don't know much about hairsprays, but even Suave Professionals Shaper Plus and White Rain (5 years old) works TONS better than this. I don't care if it has fruit-micro waxes or whatever in it, Garnier, please kill this product.

Styling Products -Garnier - Shake Effect Liqui-Gel
rated 2 of 5
Endit 6/29/2005 7:15:00 PM

This stuff is horrible. The pump can frequently gets clogged after not using it for a while and the gel sprays too far and too fast. It does give me good texture on wet hair, although as soon as my hair dries it either becomes frizzy or crunchy. It does smell amazing though. I wish all products smelled like this!

Conditioner -TiGi - Bedhead Moisture Maniac Conditioner
rated 1 of 5
Endit 6/29/2005 7:10:00 PM

EDIT: Short term affects, tangley, and not that moisturizing. Loved it at first, but not now! This conditioner has no moisture, it's all maniac. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The shampoo was great, but the conditioner is even better! I always leave it in for 20 minutes when I want the full benefits and this conditions my hair to the point of no return (even when it's in for much less too)! I so don't want to style my hair after using it because it leaves my hair so soft and incredible and I just can't stop running my hands through it! Plus it detangles better than anything else I've tried! This thing is ultra-conditioning, and my HG conditioner.

Shampoo -TiGi - Bed Head Moisture Maniac Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
Endit 6/29/2005 7:05:00 PM

My hair isn't dry, but it isn't moisturized either. It's somewhere inbetween and is dark brown, slightly wavy, and thick! I have been constantly looking for a moisturizing product which DOESN'T give volume, and this may be my HG. It could do better at cleaning, but even still, it is amazing! It also smells so good, just like gummy worms, and you can get a rich lather with a dime sized amount! I don't use this mainly for cleaning alone (I also use Neutrogena's Anti-Residue once a week), but it does make my hair so luscious and I love it! 5/3/4/Yes UPDATE [SUN/12/11/2005]: While it worked good at first, it's started to wear on me. The shampoo and conditioner do not hold up on themselves and need the assistance of other styling products. Almost no difference in hair shine with this, and it is a poor cleaner to boot. 2/4/3/N - 5/10
