I like many others was not happy with this product. It seemed like a good match for my skin, but after it is applied, it turned orange. Not natural or attractive. Everyone keeps saying how they like the bottle, but you have to pump the makeup in order to get it back down to turn it and close it. Plus the bottle was always a mess from the pump. I hated it. I definitely won't buy again. The texture was o.k. and it didn't have any parabens which was the big plus for me, but the orange color is awful.
I have been using Neosporin for a long time. It really does work wonders if you have a really bad pimple. It helps get rid of the redness and the grossness of the whole thing. I use the ointment rather than the creme for staying power and apply right after my moisturizer in the morning and then conceal. I re-apply during the day. I really think it helps big pimples heal much much faster.
I bought this powder after reading all the good reviews here and I really like Aveda. This powder is o.k. It leaves me feeling a little bit pasty and a little dry. Some reviews say it has some oil control properties, which might be the problem as my skin is a little bit dry. I apply a very very light coat, just one dab and shake off the excess and that is plenty for my whole face I just don't feel like it is quite light enough in texture or as smooth of a finish as I would like. It is o.k. and I haven't had any reactions, but I won't be buying it again. Back to Laura Mercier.
I received this with a set of three. The moisturizer and the cleanser were great, but I am not crazy about the body scrub. You have to apply this dry. It is best to stand in your shower, as pieces of the scrub get everywhere while you are rubbing it on. I made this mistake the first time and it was a mess. It really is messy and I don't like having to stand there freezing while I rub this all over my body. It is not very granulated like salt scrubs it is more like an oatmeal scrub, so it doesn't feel like it is working as well, but once you rinse you feel really smooth and moisturized. I would prefer to stick with my salt scrub in the shower, but if you don't mind the application, it seems like a pretty good product.
I love the Acerola products from DHC, so when this came out I was really excited. I like a rich moisturizer. I would say this is a cream like moisturizer but it is very lightweight. I wouldn't mind it being thicker and oilier, but they do have other lightening cremes that do that as well. But this is a great product. There is not really any scent and the moisturizer is light and absorbs really easily. It comes in a cheap pink plastic jar which I am not crazy about. I expected the jar to be bigger when it arrived. But I have been using it for several weeks and haven't used much at all, so I was happy about that. You don't need a lot. Like the other acerola products from DHC it really just leaves your face looking brighter and fresher. I am really impressed with the whole line. I use the creme right after the Aceorla 100 and have great results on my combination skin which is more on the dry side and quite sensitive. It is a keeper.
I love DHC products and this is one of my favorites. I put this on morning and night before my moisturizer and it just leaves my skin looking brighter and more even toned. I notice a difference even after the first day. You don't need to use a lot, so it lasts a long time. There is nearly no scent that I can tell and the fluid is very light and absorbs right into skin. I rub a little all over my face and then moisturize. It says to use the acerola lotion after, which is a toner, so I don't really see the sense in that. But it works great. I have noticed a considerable difference in some of my freckling and sunspots over time. I will definitely keep purchasing this!
I received a very generous sample of Aveda's Enbrightenment from an Aveda store. I was so unimpressed. It is basically a light serum that you apply every day before your moisturizer. It is suppose to lighten pigmentation and sunspots and brighten your skin. After two weeks, I have noticed no change whatsoever. I use many other lightening products, but this one was useless. I use the DHC Aceorla line and have great results with that. It has a very light Aveda like scent that is barely noticeable and it absorbs into the skin nicely, but the price is quite expensive and most of all-it doesn't work. Save your money!
I wanted to look at the Makeup Alley reviews of Aquaprime, simply because I bought it and have been using it, but don't think it is doing anything and go figure- lots of other people feel the same way. I don't know what this product does exactly, it seems like nothing. I used to use Laura Mercier primer and the only reason I stopped was I was trying to find a product with no parabens. Well when this stuff is gone, parabens here I come because it is really awful. The texture is runny and it feels o.k. on your skin and has no fragrances, but it doesn't DO anything. And you have to tip the bottle downward when pumping to get the product out which was really annoying especially on your first try, I thought it was broken. I definitely will keep looking or go back to Laura Mercier which I loved.
I just purchased three Benefit Lipsticks and they are incredible. The tubes are huge and pretty. The lipstick is so creamy and moisturizing with no waxy horrible taste. The colors are fabulous and the staying power is great. These are my new favorite lipsticks! Update: I am still really happy with my lipsticks, but I do wish the colors weren't so saturated and dark. I choose some of the lighter shades, but still wish they were a little lighter. I use very very little and tone them down with some gloss. They really will last forever!
I have really bad dark under eye circles. I have tried many, many concealers and never find one that seems effective. I stopped by the Benefit counter to buy lipstick and the saleswoman asked if she could try this on me. I was stunned my eyes looked brighter more awake and my circles were almost gone. At the counter she applied eyecon moisturizer, the erase paste and then the Boiing concealer. I had the Boiing concealer at home, but once I got the Erase Paste home I realized that I didn't need any other concealer on top of it. I use my usual moisturizer and the Erase Paste, that is all I need. It is a little drying and does crease somewhat, but not terrible. The little spatula is useless, I just use a dot or two on each eye and that is all I need. That little jar will last an eternity! I will definitely buy again!
I got a very large sample of this moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin and use alot of Aveda products. I have never been very impressed with Aveda's skincare and this hasn't changed my mind. As far as sensitivity, I have not had any rashes or reactions. There is little to no scent in the product at all. But in terms of moisture, I can't say that it seems to do much at all. It is a VERY light lotion, not a cream. Feels more like a cheap hand lotion to me. But I like my moisturizer very rich and leaving my skin dewy. This does nothing really. I definitely won't be buying a full size product.
I have tried millions of concealers. Being a stylist, I spend lots of time around makeup artists who are always giving me concealers to try. I gave this a try at a Sephora one day and decided to give it a try. My main problem is dark undereye circles and caking. As long as I use a good undereye moisturizer before I put this on, I have no problems. The coverage is excellent and it really does stay most of the day. So far so good!
I have been using this product for a couple of years now and recently ran out and started using some sample products I had and immediately started breaking out. I love this soap and will make sure that I am never without it again. It might seem expensive but this soap easily lasted me a year. It has a great lather, almost no scent and has not irritated my sensitive skin at all. I have combination/dry skin and this soap has been the best for me. I love it!
Moisturizers -Phytomer - Hydracontinue Instant Moisture Cream

I recently had a facial in Vancouver with Phytomer products and when I left my skin had never looked so good. Even my three friends couldn't believe it. And my skin had never felt so moisturized. I have combination skin and my skin is really dry and flaky in some areas, but in need of light moisture in others. This did the trick, it didn't irritate my sensitive skin and has left it just as soft as the day I had my facial. I use the Oglioforce serum underneath. I am hoooked, my skin has never looked so good. It was not cheap, but the results were worth it!
I bought this because the color was so great. I wore it for one day and was so turned off by the awful smell and truly disgusting taste on my lips that I had to return it. I don't have that problem with any lipsticks anymore, so I don't understand why they are having this problem with their lip color! It is a shame with such nice colors.
