Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
misskeikei 3/29/2010 8:31:00 AM
I have never needed the use of eyelash curlers as my lashes don't drastically point downwards and my mascara does the job fine. However I bought the 24k Gold Ltd Edt. version as a shameful complete impulse buy! Its just too pretty to pass up and I love gold! Im so glad I did because not only does it look good in my makeup box it curls every single lash even the outer ones and I can see big difference in how my lashes now look. My lashes now appear fuller and longer with this curler. As for packaging I did expect something a bit more preventative like a box or case to put the curler but no, just in a cardbaord box supplied with a spare cushion. This product is very expensive for what it is and I guess you are paying for purely aesthetic reasons such as the gold. So if you have the spare money then go for it its gorgeous and small to carry around. If not I think the normal version is just the same. I expect this to last me for a very time, so as a one off purchase I am willing to part with my money. Let hope I dont lose it! - KK =^_^=.v.

Highlighters -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 1
misskeikei 3/19/2010 2:19:00 PM
This is the perfect smart concealer and highlighter for on the go touch ups. I use this to highlight and conceal my under eyes, eyebrows and nose areas. Its not shimmery but still gives your skin the effect of brightening and radiance. The consistency is blendable thin and silky which glides on to the skin without sinking into lines. However for those days when I need extra concealment I will need to use a more industrial concealer underneath this, as this only gives a sheer coverage. So I would not recommend this to those who want to cover spots and blemishes. Packaging is great as always from YSL. I love gold and find I always travel mostly with YSL products because of the size of thier products. It is quite pricey though and in this case I cant say it lasts that long if you use it all the time like me. I would still repurchase this though as its such a convenient product and joy to use. - KK. =^_^=.v.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
misskeikei 3/18/2010 2:39:00 PM
I dont really use primers because I believe my skincare routine and moisturiser helps in applying flawless makeup. However I do suffer from large pores and the occasional breakouts and this primer really helps smooth everything out making the skin the perfect base to apply foundation. I only apply this on the areas I need the extra help and makeup just glides over the surface! This is a silicon primer which I believe makes it really good for resurfacing skin and covering pores. Initial thoughts where the jar wasnt very hygienic, its glass and its a bit pricey for a small jar. However it does last a long time as you only need very little at a time and soon as I touched it, it was soft, bouncy and & pink! Its like cute marshmallow in a little pot, the consistency is very nice. I have never tried a silicon primer before so bare with me. lol Anyways I love this stuff and its makes my face flawless when its far from it. - KK. =^_^=.v.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Intense Relief Hand Cream
misskeikei 3/16/2010 12:36:00 PM
I cant live without this hand cream. I suffer from dry cracked hands that often split and bleed in the winter. Doesn't sound nice and was painful at times but I have tried prescribed creams but none have performed better than this cream. The ingredients in this cream really does soften all dry skin as it claims and what amazes me the most it says it even lasts through hand washing and guess what it does! The cream gets absorbed effortlessly into your skin without greasiness leaving the product to work its magic. So unlike other hand creams that just moisturise the surface of skin I can wash my hands knowing I havent just washed off all the cream I put on earlier. I use it all the time but for £5 a tube its not the cheapest hand cream or the the most expensive, but considering what it does I dont mind paying for it everytime. - KK. =^_^=.v.

This is the best conditioner I have used thats keeps my otherwise thick dry hair, soft and nourished. I use this conditioner to co-wash every 3 days to keep my hair soft and healthy. The combination of ingredients smells lovely and reassures me that its a great benefit to my hair. - KK. =^_^=.v.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - E45 Cream
misskeikei 3/15/2010 2:33:00 PM
I cant live without E45. I have dry and sometimes flaky skin. Exfoliating is a must and combined with E45 makes my skin super soft. I used to have patches of Eczema around my eyes and with consistent use of E45 I no longer have have it. I have tried many moisturisers eg. Clinques etc. But none have compared to E45 which lasts all day and keeps dry skin at bay, especially during the winter months. This is my go-to moisturiser and I use it under makeup everyday as a base for flawless skin. - KK =^_^=.v.

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella In Two
misskeikei 3/12/2010 5:24:00 PM
My signature perfume I absolutely love this fragrance with its blend of delicate floral Peony is beautiful. I always receive compliments and instant recognisation of "You are wearing Stella McCartney arnt you?" I received the gift set with the body lotion and I like to rub that into my neck area on occasions to make it last longer, just like the solid which I also love. The packaging was always another reason why I bought it, so pretty and pink! I love all the Stella McCartney perfume but this one is definitely my favorite. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Eyeliner -Lancome - Artliner
misskeikei 3/12/2010 5:11:00 PM
The only liquid eyeliner I would use now. Its literally like a felt tip pen which makes it easy to draw thin/thick lines plus the perfect cat eye. The formula is just right, not dry or too wet and stays on all day. Only negative is that its really expensive for an eyeliner but it is the best. Its always sold out online so I have to nearly always buy it a Lancome counter. Packaging is great as usually expected from Lancome. So yep easily my must have. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
misskeikei 3/12/2010 1:42:00 PM
I really love YSL products but in this case this mascara just looks good in your makeup bag. The consistency of it is just too dry and really makes a clumpy mess. I really want this mascara to work but I cant and it has just sat in my makeup pot with its pretty goldness just wanting me to pick it back up again! *sighs* KK. =^_^= .v.

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster
misskeikei 3/12/2010 1:32:00 PM
It does make a difference to your mascara when applied straight afterwards. I was surprised and I have never used a mascara primer before, didnt feel the need and have always been a bit skeptical about them. But now its one of my must haves! I felt it made mascaras less clumpy, this was seemed true when applied after YSL Fffet-Faux-Cils mascara. I like to combine this with the perfect Lancome Hypnose mascara for beautifully framed eyes. It is expensive and I hope it will last me a long time and not dry up! The packaging as ever by Lancome is perfect. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
misskeikei 3/11/2010 11:52:00 AM
This foundation dries quite quickly showing up my dry skin even when I do extra moisturise & prime my face before applying foundation. However I love its full coverage and to help me with the application I added a bit of water to the formula for easier application. The consistency is thin & runny like Mac FixFluid which isnt great when the packaging comes with a complete open top no pump! So overall I think it does give you a nice flawless med-full coverage when applied with a sponge, not a brush as its gives you streaks due to its quick drying formula. If you can get the application right that is. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
misskeikei 3/8/2010 8:25:00 AM
This is my main perfect mascara to use everyday. It volumizes, lengthens and curls lashes without product overload. You rarely need to touch it up during the day since it lasts all day. I love Lancome's packaging sleek, gold and glossy black tube. Only negative I can think of is that it can get clumpy if you wait too long to apply multiple coats, so quick application is advised. Easily my must have. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing
misskeikei 3/8/2010 8:16:00 AM
This is the first industrial concealer I have ever used and its fab. Nice and creamy consistency, best used when warmed onto clean fingers than a brush. It covered my blemishes and spots well. Its not cakey if you only a little and thats all you need since its quite strong. Tip I like to do is smooth over any bumps on the face with a little silicon primer before applying this for a more flawless application. The packaging is great to carry around in your makeup bag and its black. The price is reasonable for what you get as you only need to use a little at a time. You can find this particular benefit product priced lower than direct from the counter at online cosmetic outlets. An all round good go-to concealer and comes in 3 shades. It may not sound like a lot of shades but it really does blend in with your skin tone quite well. Only negative is maybe from others reviews is that the consistency is not as creamy as other high-end concealers and settles a bit more. This is the only cream concealer I use daily for the fact that is not really expensive and does a good job. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Powderflage
misskeikei 3/7/2010 11:32:00 AM
This is a great product and really does hide your dark circles. The powder is very fine but dosnt settle and feels silky on your skin. It isnt shimmery but really makes your eyes look more radiant and bright. You can use it alone after your usual facial routine or on top of your concealer. The packaging is very cute and uses a sifter to dispense the powder. Very small to carry in your makeup bag and also some comes with its own small fan brush. However I found the brush useless, way too small you are better off using a normal fan brush. I would say very good value for money, the pot may seem very small but you only need to use a small amount and lasts for ages. You can find this particular Benefit product at a much lower price on online makeup outlets. - KK. =^_^= .v.

Loose Powders -MAC - Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
misskeikei 3/7/2010 11:19:00 AM
This is a great setting powder to finish off your foundation. It makes your foundation last a lot longer and gives your base more flawless look in my opinion. It sets makeup rather for mattifying and oiliness. The powder seems initially very white but goes on transparent. You only need a small amount using Macs 150 brush sweeping it gently over your face. The packaging is good and includes a sifter to dispense the powder, so the usual swirl and tap. Seemed liked a small tub for its price at first but lasts a long time. As for break outs, I am prone to this and avoid products that break me out so I put on my trusted coverage powder first after, then I apply this. So yes I use two powders but this powder makes my makeup look so much better, I only use a little so its quick and no breakouts so far. - KK. =^_^= .v.
