Lipstick -Kanebo - The Lipstick
rated 5 of 5

I have this lipstick in the color "New Ginza Red" which is a gorgeous bright (without being TOO bringht) classic red with slightly berry undertone, the color is allthough RED- not berry/red (if you know what I mean :)).Iīm a fair asian with yellow undertone and this color looks absolutly amazing on me, it really complimants my skintone! If I look really really close to my lips in the sunlight I can see a few supertiny flecks of gold but they are hardly noticable. I bought this lipstick on 70% sale which made the price very affordale, otherwise I wouldnīt have bought it because about 50 dollars is really A LOT of money for a lipstick! The texture is sooooo creamy, nourishing and smooth. Many other creamy lipsticks has poor lastingpower and just "slides around" on the lips, but this lipstick is extremly longlasting without drying your lips out. The packaging is rather boring, bulky and a little bit cheap looking in my opinion, i wish it would be more slim and elegant- but hey, itīs the inside that count in the end! ;) To summarize this review: I really love this lipstick, the texture is just simply amazing and feels so luxurious on the lips! "New Ginza Red" is by far my HG red lippie, itīs just stunning. So by this lipstick if you find it on sale or if you just have a fat wallet that have to loose some weight ;P

Cleansers -Clarins - Cleansing Milk with Gentian
rated 4 of 5
eammi 9/27/2008 5:21:00 AM

(press "continued" to get the edited version of the review :) ) My skintype: Very dry cheeks (especially during the colder months), a little bit oily T-zone. Prone to breakouts on my cheeks and chin.

General:This review is for the Cleansing Milk with Gentian which is suitable for combination or oily skin (according to the bottle). I got this as a pressent from my father and was a bit afraid to use it because I prefer to use products for dry/normal skin. Honestly I also have been a little bit skeptical to Clarins skin care but I decided to give this a try.

How the product is: The cleansing milk is very creamy and have a light perfumy scent (doesnīt offend me at all, much lighter scent then I expected from a Clarins product :)) that feels kinda luxurious. With other cleansing milks I usually has to use a rather large amount at every use (I use about an almond sized blob of Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser and Sampar White Velvet Cleanser) but with this one I only use a pea-sized amount and that covers and cleanses my skin perfectly. According to Clarins website you should use a special technique when using this cleansing milk but Iīm to lazy for that so i use it like I would with any other cleanser (dab it evenly over my damped face and then gently massages it around and finally rinse) and that works great. To get rid of the last bit of cleansing milk (I wouldnīt say it leaves a film over my face but a little bit of "film-feel" is still there after I have rinsed my face) I use Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris (also for combination to oily skin, but I would also recommend this for normal/dry skin, isnīt drying at all).

Conclusion: This cleansning milk doesnt dry out my skin the tiniest bit, my skin feels soft and supply afterwards. I wouldnt recommend this to people with oily skin as I think itīs more appropiate for normal/dry skintypes because itīs kinda rich. If you like the squeeky clean feeling you get with regular cleansers, then I also dont think this is your cup of tea :) But if you have combination skin that is mostly dry and you want a gentle cleansing milk this one is for you! Hasnīt broken me out. Price is very reasonable for 200 ml and considering the small amount you need everytime you use it, it would last a while.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Elizabeth Pink
rated 5 of 5
eammi 2/23/2008 12:39:00 PM

Iīm a fair asian with very unpigmentedl lips (all lipcolors usually shows up on my lips exactly how they looks in the package). "Elizabeth Pink" is the perfect "my-lips-but-better" color on me! (on someone with more pigmented lips this would make the perfect sheer pinky/nude instead).

The color is a soft and light pink that is very natural-looking and neutral. It isnīt neither warm or cold in my opinion. I usually cant wear pale pinks because they always seems to be to cold/frosted/"60īs light" on me. I love the fact that "Elizabeth Pink" is so sheer and easy to wear. The texture is light and creamy and actually feels moisturising. This is the first sheer lipstick that Iīve tried that doesnt dries my lips out. I really like the fact that the finish is creamy and slightly glossy, I doesnt detect any shimmer/glitter.

I highly recommend this lipstick to everyone! Especially if you are a fan of the natural, young and fresh look :)

Lip Liners -Cover Girl - Wetslicks in "Bikini Beach"
rated 4 of 5
eammi 6/20/2007 7:35:00 AM

Wetslicks precision lip gloss pencil is a creamy and slightly glossy lip liner. Very easy to apply thanks to its smooth texture. The lastingpower is not as good as with an ordinare lip liner with harder texture, but it does stay in place for at least 2 hours (if you dont eat, drink etc).

"Bikini Beach" is a summery soft pink with small silver sparkles. It goes on sheer-medium coverage (IMO, sheerer than regular lip liner). It does show up on my unpigmented lips. This lip liner is all I wanted it to be, sheer, slightly glossy and soft pink in color. I love to pair this up with Cliniques "Blushing Coral" lipstick for that flirty and "natural-with-that-extra-OUMPH"-look ;) Or just by itself (gently lines my lips, then put som lip balm over it and blend it onto my lips with a q-tip) for a little extra color.

FYI, Iīm a fair asian with yellow undertones, I usally use the lightest shade on foundation (regardless of which brand it is).

Buy it if you can find it (sadly itīs LE :( )!

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Shimmer Slicks in Angelslick
rated 5 of 5
eammi 6/19/2007 12:58:00 PM

Shimmer Slicks for eyes is a chubby pen eyeshadow. The texture is smooth and creamy and blends like a dream.

"Angelslick" is the perfect eyebrow bone highlighter! The color is a pigmented shimmery white with a soft pink tone to it. I think it would look good on both cool and warm toned girl (FYI Iīm a fair asian with yellow undertones). The shimmer isnīt glittery or over the top, just gorgeuos and glowing! I just gently draw a line with the pen under my eyebrow and then blend the color with my fingertip. So easy and so pretty :) The lastingpower is great, doesnt fade during the day.

I highly recommend this product, so buy if it you are able to find it anywhere (limited edition unfortunally).

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes
rated 4 of 5
eammi 4/4/2007 3:57:00 AM

I have used "All about eyes" in 3 years now. It isnt a miracle worker in any means, but its very good simple eyegel for those of you who needs just plain moisture around the eye area. The texture is a light creamgel and the smell is light a non-offensive.

"All about eyes" and "Exfoliating scrub" is the only two skin care products that I use from Clinique.

Moisturizers -Dermalogica - Intensive Moisture Balance
rated 5 of 5
eammi 4/4/2007 3:47:00 AM

This is areally good moisturiser for my dry (esp. on the cheeks)/combination acneprone skin. It doesnt break me out. I use a pea-sized amount both evenings and nights and gently massage it into the skin. My face feels rehydrated and comfortabe (doesnt have that horrible tight "my skin feels two sizes too small" feeling). This moisturiser has really good ingredients that dosent cause breakouts (doesnt containt mineral oils for example). The smell is mild and kinda "non existing", nothing offensive at all.

I`m really impressed with this moisturiser and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Scrubs -Clinique - Exfoliating Scrub
rated 5 of 5
eammi 4/4/2007 3:17:00 AM

This is my HG face scrub! Finally Clinique has manage to do a good skin care product ;)

This is a wonderfull face scrub that doesnt break me out. It polishes away dull skin and makes my face soft and fresh. Has menthol in it that gives a super-refreshing feeling to the face, I just love it! The scrub contains lots of small grains that arent too harsh on my skin. Allthough I can see how this scrub wouldnt suit anyone with *EXTREME* sensitive skin.

I use "exfoliating scrub" once a week. I start with a steam bath for about 10-15 min, then I take a little dab (like a pea) of this scrub and massage it on the skin in small cirkular motions. Then I rinse my face. Et voilá! My face is clean, polished and fresh and not just right after exfoliating, the freshness last and last and last.. :)
(FYI I have dry/combination skin type that is prone to breakouts)

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Vanished
rated 5 of 5
eammi 4/3/2007 7:31:00 AM

"Vanished" looks like a creamy medium brown with the slightest rosey hint to it in tube. On the lips the color (medium pigmented) comes out a lot lighter and gives the most perfect natural nude rosey look. Totally MLBB on my very unpigmented lips! "Vanished" doesnt contain any glitter or shimmer. This JT smells really good, like vanilla and raspberrys.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Juice in Victory
rated 5 of 5
eammi 4/2/2007 7:10:00 AM

This is my first CJ and Iīm really satisfied with it :)
"Victory" is a gorgeous soft creamy roseynude with small gold sparkles. The color shows up as a tint on my very unpigmented lips but I can imagine that this one wouldnt show up at all on someone with pigmented lips because of itīs sheerness. The smell is soft and sweet (very yummy in fact! :)), kinda reminds me of the way Duwop Venom Glosses smells (sugary cinnamon) a little bit of creamy raspberry. "Victory" is perfect for a natural and fresh look, I highly recommend it!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Lancome Juicy Tubes
rated 5 of 5
eammi 4/1/2007 10:42:00 AM

I LOVE Juicy Tubes (I think I am somewhat obsessed with this ultra-shiny little masterpieces :))

The gloss comes in a generous 15 ml tube with a slanted tip applicator. The texture is thich and "syrup like" (makes the staying power superb) so if you dont like a little stickiness in your gloss then stay away from these little babies.

Over the years, I have had 19 Juicy Tubes (Sweet So Young (sheer watermelon pink), Groiselle (sheer berry pink), Lemon Sugar (yellow in the tube, transclude on the lips), Honey Violet (sheer berry/mauve w. gold shimmer), Simmer (pigmented light peachy/rose), Pink Horizon (pigmented light rosey/mauve), Manihi (sheer golden caramel) , Magic Spell (sheer berry), Midsummer Eve (light peachyrose in the tube, transclude on the lips), Tahuata (sheer burnt orange), Tickled Pink (pigmented rosey/mauve), Bolole (sheer orange/red), Bonfire (medium pigmented orange), Gold Escapade (sheer golden brown), Chilled (pigmented natural rosey brown), Touched By Light (sheer golden), Raspberry Ice (sheer watermelon pink w. glitter), Iced Cranberry (sheer red w. glitter), Fraise (sheer berry) ---- Ummm.. Okey... As you can see Im REALLY into JTs ;) )

I like the fact that many JTs isnt all that pigmented because I find it difficult for me to wear anything else but sheer coverage (I have really unpigmented lips and lipglosses that looks just like a little stain on someone with pigmented lips looks way too much on me). But of course there is pigmented JTs out there as well (like Beach Plum, Ablaze, Raisin, Lollipop, Energizing Melon, Coral Rush, Sun Bronze etc) for you lucky ones who can pull them off :)

My all-time favourite of all JTs I have own is "Manihi" which smells exactly like Nutella (YUMMY!) and gives a warm golden glow too the lips.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes in Pink Horizon
rated 2 of 5
eammi 4/1/2007 7:23:00 AM

"Pink Horizon" is a warm version of "Simmer". Smells like bubbelgum and is well pigmented for a JT. It gives a natural mauve/rosey color with a lot of bronze/gold shimmer on my unpigmented lips. Although the color is pretty, I dont like the high amount of shimmer in this JT (makes it look frosted, allthough the shimmer is warm).

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy tubes tickled pink
rated 2 of 5
eammi 4/1/2007 7:12:00 AM

"Tickled Pink" is a well pigmented rosey mauve color with a watermelon scent. On my unpigmented lips the color is just like one or two steps to bright to flatter my skintone (Iīm a fair asian). But I can imagine that this would look awsome on someone else :)(The colors that usually fits me best is more sheer ones like Lancome JT in "Magic Spell" (sheer berry with shimmer), "Manihi" (sheer caramel with gold sparkles).

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Midsummer Eve
rated 1 of 5
eammi 3/12/2007 6:09:00 AM

"Midsummer Eve" looks like a light and innocent peachypink i the packaging with no obvious shimmer/glitter. On my unpigment lips it goes on totally clear (I usually like sheer colored lipglosses, cant wear medium-full coverage things, but this one didnt even leave a stain behind). The smell of this JT is too strong for my liking (sweet strong artificial peach, gave me a headache) and Iīm the kind of girl that looves sweet scented lipglosses.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Magic Spell
rated 4 of 5
eammi 3/12/2007 6:02:00 AM

"Magic Spell" is a raspberry colored lipgloss with lots of small golden glitter particles. It gives a sheer berry tint on my unpigmened lips (MLBB). I think this color would fit just about everyone. "Magic Spell" reminds a lot of "Fraise", just a tad lighter, so if you allready have Fraise, I wouldnīt recommend you to buy this one too :) The smell is pleasent and kind of "strawberryish-sweet". (FYI Iīm an asian with fair skin (yellow undertones), black hair and dark brown eyes).
