Liquid -Estee Lauder - Lucidity [DISCONTINUED]

This is a GREAT foundation! I'm in love with the Shiseido foundation b/c it had SPF 42 in it which was great for the summer and had great coverage-but I soon ran out of it and got the urge to try something different(I get really bored easily)....So my mom recommended the Lucidity to me b/c she had recently discovered this and raved about it. So I went to the Estee Lauder counter and got help selecting the perfect color for me. It was an EXACT match and gave the most NATURAL AND "GLOW-LIKE" coverage! Such a luxurious foundation-People honestly think I have "perfect" skin and don't blieve that I have any makeup on!! This will be my HG winter foundation & I'll keep the Shiseido for the summer...GREAT Product!!

Primer/ Corrector -Sue Devitt - Microquatic Fortifying Primer
chanelnbebe 8/25/2006 1:39:00 PM
Not too impressed considering I blew $45 bucks on this! The actual consistency is awesome. It's light weight & extremely silky. But that's about it. I didn't see any difference in the way my foundation looked with or without this stuff on. That's the whole purpose of my buying this primer-I don't need another good skin product-I need a really good primer, that's not what I got with this!! Way too expensive & they don't give you much(the bottle looks like it holds more than it does)....Needless to say I won't be buying again!

Lipstick -MAC - Tanarama
chanelnbebe 8/25/2006 8:54:00 AM
A lovely beigy/light goldish FROST color, really compliments that bronzed summer look! I love frost lipsticks, they're my favorite! I was looking for a neutral color with a ton of frost in it for days that I want to feel polished but not to glitzy and this is it! It allows me to play around more with my eyeshadow and eyeliner and wear less of a color on my lips so I'm not too "makeup-ey"....Very similiar to one of my other Mac fave's "gel" but lighter. Love this!

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Excellence Creme
chanelnbebe 8/23/2006 10:05:00 PM
YAY!!! Finally a hair color that turns out the color it promises!!! I used this in dark brown-natural, and I got the most natural dark brown hair color with NO RED!!! Also, this is the first perm. hair color that actually provided superior coverage over all my old high-lights-This will cover highlights, lighter hair or gray hair 100%. Also, the color stays put, no quick fading. Not messy because of the creme formula...The first color to not leave splatters of color all over my vanity! Washed out perfectly-no staining my towels. I don't have one bad thing to say, absolutely love this product!!! I will stop my search because this is now my "HG" hair color!!!

Brows -Revlon - Brow Fantasy
chanelnbebe 8/22/2006 2:59:00 PM
This is the best!!! I got this in Dark Brown and I'm so impressed with the quality of this. I'm a total MAC/Sephora junkie but I really needed a good brow pencil and happened to be at my drugstore picking up odd & ends when I passed this in the Revlon section. It's really cool because at one end it has a pencil and at the other end is the amazing sheer colored gel that sets the color. I barely had to apply any pressure to the pencil, the color just glided on so softly. It gave me a natural look of a more filled in brow. The gel end is like a mascara tube w/ a mascara brush. At first I thought it might be too wet but I applied it and it doesn't wet your brows-all it does is apply a sheer color that drys immediately and sets immediately! Pefrect brows. I will not stray from this! Love it!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Star Gloss in Celeb
chanelnbebe 8/22/2006 2:46:00 PM
This is a beautiful deep mauve/plum color with a ton of golden/silvery specks running through it! SOOOOO PRETTY! Really classy but fun looking... I also have the star gloss in "superstar" and I can honestly say Star glosses are the best glosses out there. I'm a Mac lip glass girl as well-because they have the most amazing color selections, but as far as actual consistency Lancome star gloss is the best. It's not super sticky, it's silky and it just feels really "expensive", really high quality...It's funny because I hate the Juicy Tubes but I LOVE this stuff!!! I want one in every color!

Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts Hair Color
chanelnbebe 8/18/2006 8:45:00 AM
So happy with the results! I got this Clove and got a beautiful mocha color with NO red tones! Made my hair soft & shiny also! I use Loreal Excellance for a perm. color(It's the best drugstore perm.color!) but in between I need to add some shine & depth...So I use a temporary as a pick-me-up so i'm not damaging my hair in between my perm. colorings...And Natural Instincts is the best temp. color out there!! Really good hair color = )

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Natural Match haircolor [DISCONTINUED]
chanelnbebe 8/18/2006 8:40:00 AM
Dissappointed w/ this hair color. I am well aware of the age old rule that with drugstore hair color(esp. semi-perm's) you should always buy a shade lighter than the color you want b/c they always come out too dark. I wanted dark brown, ash(to neutralize any red)-So I got this in med. ash brown. The color did come out just shy of black(i'm positive this will fade to a nice dark brown though), with reddish tones at the crown of my head which annoys me to no end. My hair was very dry and hard to comb through. I was originally using Natural Insticts in Clove(med. ash brown) which gave me the most beautiful mocha brown color with NO red at all. I just got sick of the fading and wanted to try something more permanent. This barely covered up my old highlights. So needless to say not happy with this color, pricey for a drugstore color, will not be buying again! *See my review for L'oreal Excellance creme color! It's the best*

I really love this beigy/silver-y color. It's pretty sheer and has a ton of frost in it-which I LOVE! I wear this when I want something neutral to wear with a smokey eye look. Love this color!

Lip Liners -MAC - Lip Liner- Magenta
chanelnbebe 8/10/2006 2:51:00 PM
Ummm...A really strong magenta color(which I already knew-you can tell by looking at it) but for some reason it's drier and harder to apply than my other Mac liners. It pulls my skin-doesn't glide on easy. That's a big pet peeve of mine. I actually wear this with a Sephora brand lip color and it looks great with it-I just wish the texture was better.

A really basic pretty Mauve/pink color. I love Mac liners and this is just as good as the rest of them.

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Lip Inflation
chanelnbebe 8/10/2006 2:37:00 PM
This really does plump my lips-Not as much as the pricier glosses but it does a decent enough job. I have really full lips but sometimes like a little extra ; ) It tingles and plumps within 30 sec. Love that it has a soft brush instead of a sponge tip, LOVE the strawberry-ish flavor! Really shiny pretty gloss. The plumping/tingly effect lasts about 30 min. but that's what happens with Lip Venom and a couple other more expensive glosses that I've tried. My sis uses Sovage which is about $40-That lasts & lasts-but since I already have full lips, it's not necessary for me to spend that kind of $$ when all I want is a little lip boost every now & then-so this stuff does the trick! I have it in the Sheer Pink color, will consider trying this in another color also!

Moisturizers -Lumene - Energy Cocktail Fortifying Cream
chanelnbebe 8/10/2006 2:27:00 PM
Love this cream...I already have a couple good day/night creams that I use(I really love Roc for a drugstore brand)but the Lumene line was on sale at the drugstore(buy one get another for 1 cent!). So I had to give this stuff a try and WOW i'm glad I did!!! I started to suffer from dryness to my skin. I put this stuff on and what a rich cream! Great for the winter. My skin feels so soft and looks dewy not oily. Worth every penny! I'm really impressed better than most department store brands! And for 1/2 the price = ) Will use this when I have periods of dryness and also in the winter months...

Powder -Bare Escentuals - BareMinerals foundation #2.3 Medium Beige
chanelnbebe 8/1/2006 7:57:00 AM
At first I was very impressed with this and liked it. After a while though it started to leave a shiny finish to my skin-made it look oily(I have normal skin). In my 20's so I don't have wrinkles but it seems to settle(into where my cheeks crease when I smile)I hated that!! Also, made a terrible mess on my vanity! this would spill every where-even when I was being careful. Not travel bag friendly-due to the messy nature of this stuff. Will not buy again.

Very pretty "barbie" pink gloss. It's different from my other pink glossed because it has no frost in it-Just a pretty pink-very girly = )
