Makeup Brushes -Stila - #33 One Step Complexion Brush
rated 5 of 5

BEST foundation brush. This is a double-sided brush. One end is smaller for applying concealer. It's shaped just like the foundation brush end. I think it's the shape that makes this so awesome. Makes it very easy to blend around the nose. The shape also makes it easy to sort of "buff" on your foundation for a flawless look.

Blush -NARS - Angelika

Wow! I think this is the perfect natural flush for me! And I've come pretty close with some Bobbi Brown blushes (although I do still love my BB blushes). I also have NARS Orgasm, but I believe this one tops that. I'm actually surprised the ratings are not even higher!

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Illuminating
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 9/21/2008 1:32:00 PM

I've never really been a fan of tinted moisturizers b/c most tinted moisturizers don't seem worth it. The amount of "tint" in most of them makes me feel like I might as well just wear a moisturizer with sunscreen that is not "tinted." This one is really good though. It's moisturizer, foundation, and sunscreen all in one that also gives decent enough coverage to be worth buying. Not greasy at all... I like the "illumination" it gives. Great product!

I am really liking this product. I purchased it with the Vibrant-C lotion. I love how the mica in it gives an immediate brightening effect to the eye area. Go Px!

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Hydra Complete Moisture Gel Creme for Normal/Combination Skin
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 1/27/2008 10:32:00 PM

This is a gel that is wonderful. It's oil free and refreshing. It feels a lot like Clinique Moisture Surge, but I think it moisturizes better. Great for people with oily or combo skin who get dry sometimes. It smells good too. I can't believe they are discontinuing this. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring it back because people complain about it being discontinued!

Skincare - Face -Biore - Pore Minimizing Refining Exfoliator [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 7/29/2007 10:09:00 PM

I'm surprised this didn't have more reviewers as of now. I think this is a wonderful product. I've never used another microdermabrasion-type exfoliator from a drugstore, but this one really rocks! I've used Dr. Brandt's Microdermabrasion in a Jar, which is wonderful, but SO high priced. I definitely think this is a great alternative for those who find Dr. Brandt out of their budget. Has a nice smell too...I know some complain about the scent of the Microdermabrasion in a Jar.

Styling Products -Redken - Smooth Down Detangling Cream [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 6/21/2007 9:44:00 PM

I really like this product. I think it is fairly new to the Redken Smooth Down line of products. I have very thick hair that is color treated (blonde highlights), has a slight wave & tends to get frizzy/puffy. This really tames it and really does help detangle wet hair. I like to use this and then let my hair dry naturally. My hair cut has a lot of texture to it, so when I use this and let my hair dry naturally, my hair dries into nice, soft waves. I haven't tried blow drying my hair straight after applying this product, so I can update this when I do...

Bronzers -Lancome - Star Bronzer Cream-to-Powder Bronzing Veil
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 1/29/2006 7:47:00 PM

This is a fabulous bronzer! At first, it appears to go on thick and opaque, but it totally sheers out into a beautiful bronze glow. It looks soooo natural. The finish isn't powdery so as to enhance flakies, just a very light matte powder finish. It's matte, but not too matte for those who prefer a satin finish on their skin. The best application is with a foundation brush so you can blend, blend, blend. The Lancome MAs will tell you this too. It comes in two shades, a lighter shade and a darker shade. I have the lighter one, which is Dore 01. It has a slight sparkle to it, but nothing to be concerned about if you hate shimmer. You can use this as a foundation if you want or over your foundation. The product is $30 for 1.35 oz. and comes in a tube. Definitely worth the money.

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Precious Posy
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 1/21/2006 4:11:00 PM

I love this new Clinique blush. It is truly long wearing. Most of them just fade away. Even the brush with it is pretty good. It's not the usual crappy ones they give you, but I still think a professional blush brush gives the best results. This color is awesome too. Gives your cheeks a beautiful, natural flush. Perfect...

Liquid -Clinique - Repairwear foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 10/22/2005 6:29:00 PM

This is an awesome foundation, but it's not good for those with even as much oil in their skin as someone with combination skin. I thought I could use it, but it was gone from my t-zone as the day went on. The coverage is awesome. I give it 5 lippies because I know it would be awesome for someone prone to dry skin. Too bad it only lasted until lunch for me :(

Awesome shampoo for thick hair. Very non-stripping. Great for washing every day and goes great with it's awesome partner, UH Balm! Ulta has some awesome deals on Biolage products a lot, so I stock up when I can!

Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Matte Stain For Lips in Desert Clay
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 7/22/2005 11:24:00 AM

I got a card from Belk for a free sample of these new lip stains. I got this color as well as Clay and (I believe) Chili. I love this product and this color! This is very creamy and more moisturizing than what a lot of matte lip products are. This is the perfect color for me. It has more pink in it than the Clay color. The Clay color is a little too brown for me. Bobbi Brown comes out with such cool products!

Liquid -Shiseido - Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA+++
rated 5 of 5
beachkitty79 7/12/2005 4:21:00 PM

Man, does this stuff have staying power! Excellent product to wear when you're gonna be all sweaty! It's supposed to be waterproof, but I haven't really had the chance to test that out. I'm sure it would still perform well though! The coverage is pretty good as well. My mom is begging me to get her some because I let her try some, and Shiseido is not available in her town.

Scrubs -Peter Thomas Roth - Silica Strawberry Scrub
rated 3 of 5
beachkitty79 7/6/2005 11:04:00 AM

At the first the smell didn't bother me, but then I just hated it and put it up for swap. The granules are very fine; therefore, it is a good scrub. Very expensive too. I won't repurchase due to the smell.

Mascara -Prescriptives - Beyond Long Maximum Length Mascara
rated 3 of 5

I gave this a three because it does seem to give some volume. I just wasn't impressed with the length. At least I only got a sample. Big disappointment. :(
