Lipstick -Lime Crime - Mint To Be
rated 4 of 5
MegamiMoon 10/28/2011 1:13:00 PM

Wow, never in a million years did I imagine I would be purchasing a green lipstick. Ever since I laid eyes on Mint To Be, however, it became an obsession and after debating about it for months, I had to have it! I'm really glad I did because it's such a unique and novel part of my vast makeup collection. The color is a lovely, pastel mint-green that totally gives off a cool, vintage vibe. It has a sweet, vanilla-esque fragrance and had a thick, creamy texture. The color goes on a little bluer on the lips than how it looks in the tube, IMO, but is still very pretty. It takes a tiny bit of effort to get the color to apply evenly, but I really don't mind it so much because the result looks so rad. The lippy itself has good pigmentation and decent opacity with a true matte finish. The color tends to settle into the creases of my lips over time, but that's easily solved by gently pressing them together to even it out. All in all, I would definitely recommend Mint To Be for those who would are brave enough to venture outside of the box. The flaws are minor, IMO, and are easily forgiven because the color is so unique!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - 511B Nouveau Pink
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 10/26/2011 8:27:00 PM

Nouveau Pink is a gorgeous shade of vivid, vibrant hot pink. The color is extremely pigmented, applies smoothly with good opacity, and has a satiny, semi-gloss finish. The texture is rich and moisturizing. This lipstick could rival any high-end brand lipstick of a similar color, and for only $0.99 a tube, I would consider it a GREAT buy!

Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 88 color matte palette
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/20/2011 8:36:00 PM

I just got this palette in yesterday and I'm so in love! My favorite eyeshadows are mattes because I find that they're photo/flash friendly. The colors are pigmented enough for my satisfaction and especially pop when you use them with primer. The formula is very smooth and blendable for precision application. I can't wait to experiment with the colors to create amazing looks. If there were any flaws, I would say that some of the colors are a little too similar, but for less than $20 for 88 colors, I can't really complain!

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Shimmer Eye Liner
rated 4 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/18/2011 7:07:00 PM

I purchased these eyeliners in Plum Passion, Twinkle Teal, Grassy Green, and Boldly Bronze. These are fantastic for just $1! They're soft, creamy, and wonderfully pigmented. I know they've been compared to Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On eyeliners, but they're just slightly drier. Still great though, especially for the price. Oh, and I've heard that the color doesn't last, but after drawing my lines, I just set them with matching eyeshadow and the color won't budge all day. The wood of the pencil feels really cheap and lightweight, so handle with care. I imagine they snap pretty easily. I want these in every color now!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette
rated 4 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/8/2011 12:45:00 AM

This palette is really fantastic for the value! There are so many colors to play with, the possibilities are endless! Pigmentation is good if you use primer, which I would highly recommend doing. You can easily go from neutral to wild with the array of hues that are available in this palette. Only $10! That's $0.10 per color! You really can't lose here! I should add that the packaging is a little shoddy, however. My sister and my best friend purchased the same palette and the hinges broke within a week. Mine lasted about 3 weeks or so before my hinges snapped off. My husband used black gaffer's tape to repair it, so it's fine now, but I imagine it's annoy/frustrating if you don't find a way to fix it.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush - Pink Passion
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/5/2011 12:29:00 AM

What can I say about this amazing blush that hasn't already been said? It looks super-hot pink in the pan, at least 2 shades brighter than the photos, but applies as a fresh rosy matte flush. It's highly pigmented, so you only need to tap a little onto your brush. The color blends softly and evenly and lasts all day with little to no touchups necessary. You definitely get more for your money with this product! Highly recommended!

I love this eyeshadow! The color is simply gorgeous, just the perfect shade of pastel mint green that I've been looking for. It's got great pigmentation and has such a pretty, soft matte finish. I layer it over UDPP and it lasts all day without creasing. Such a fresh, cheerful color. Highly recommended!

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner- Turquoise
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/1/2011 11:49:00 PM

So many things to love about this eyeliner! The formula is smooth, the color is gorgeous, and I love the fine brush and long handle...perfect for precision application. I guess the only complaint I have is that the color is more of a jade green than turquoise. Also, it's not waterproof and smudges a little towards the end of the day, but it was never advertised as waterproof. I think there's a waterproof version of Megaliner Liquid Liner out there. Otherwise, it's a pretty perfect product.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - eye studio color explosion in amethyst ablazed
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/1/2011 11:41:00 PM

This is the first palette of purples that has ever complimented my medium-tan complexion with heavy yellow undertones. The colors are vibrant, pigmented, and can be applied beautifully in different ways to create looks ranging from subtle to dramatic The luminating topcoat is extremely shimmery, so I use it very sparingly to highlight my brow arch. An allover coat would be overkill, IMO. Overall, I would highly recommend this palette to those that are passionate about purple. I'm so excited about how drugstore makeup has really increased in quality these days. I guess someone has to compete with MAC and Urban Decay. :D

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection - Blue Had Me At Hello (737)
rated 4 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/1/2011 2:24:00 AM

I purchased this palette because I'm a sucker for blues. For an inexpensive brand, these shadows really surprised me in terms of quality. I used them with UDPP and found that they are really pigmented and long-lasting. I've had this palette for a few months now and never get tired of using it to experiment with different blue looks. My favorite shade is the bright teal...a real show stopper! If I had to complain, I would say that the shadows are a little on the soft side, so they tend to drip when I'm applying them. I've rectified this problem by placing a tissue on my cheek while I'm putting the eyeshadow on. No harm no foul! I'd definitely recommend getting one of these, at about $5 apiece, there's not much to lose.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eye Studio Color Explosion in FOREST FURY
rated 4 of 5
MegamiMoon 9/1/2011 2:14:00 AM

The greens are so pretty in this palette! I layered them over UDPP in Eden and boy did my eyes pop! I found that I can use them in lots of different ways to keep the looks anywhere from subtle to dramatic. The jeweled green shades are pretty pigmented for drugstore makeup and I didn't have a problem with flaking or creasing. I've worn Forest Fury out 4 times now and the colors have pretty decent staying power over 8+ hours of wear. The eyelid shimmer is kind of over-the-top intense, so I usually skip it or use it very sparingly. Is it me, or does the Emerald City come to mind when you look at this palette? :)

Lipstick -MAC - Amplified Creme - Girl About Town
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 5/22/2011 11:57:00 AM

I'm usually a nude lip/dramatic eye kind of girl, but I fell in love with fuchsia and figured, "why not?" when I laid eyes on Girl About Town. It's a super-high impact hot hot hot pink shade that's sure to turn heads. I think every girl should have an unexpected lip color in her makeup armory that packs a punch and this is definitely the color for me. On a sexy night out, I pair it with black winged liner for a flirty, mysterious look. In addition to the amazing, highly pigmented color, GAT has a velvety-smooth texture and applies consistently and evenly. Definitely worth the money!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Mint Sorbet

MegamiMoon 4/13/2011 10:17:00 PM

Super-cute color in a refreshing shade of pastel mint green. I'm off to Cabo for spring break and this polish is perfect for cheerful, fun-in-the-sun weather! And, for $2.99 at my local CVS, the price is right. Can't wait to give myself a poolside pedi with this polish!

Lips -Milani - Lip Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Gloss Pencil
rated 5 of 5
MegamiMoon 4/11/2011 11:09:00 PM

I'm going through a fuchsia phase right now, so when I saw Milani's Lip Flash in Flashy (hot pink shimmer with blue-ish undertones) I had to have it! The consistency is nice, lightweight and non-sticky. The pigmentation is off the hook! It's like applying pure pigment, super-bold! Although it's advertised as a pencil gloss, it isn't shiny the way a true liquid gloss is, however I do like the lustrous shimmer finish. For a shiny look, it wouldn't be too difficult to layer a clear gloss over. I really love that it comes in pencil form because I get a lot of precision and control when applying. Would love to try the other colors as well, and at $6.99 a pop, it's a lot more economical than purchasing something equally pigmented at MAC.
