Eye Shadow -NARS - Strada

Buyer Beware! I absolutely love NARS products but this did not work for me at all. And to top it off, I tried it on at the store: on my hand. It looked gorgeous - violet with loads and loads of gold shimmer. It was the color I needed to end my obsession with all things eyeshadow or so I thought. Bought it, brought it home, slapped that baby on over a gold Chanel liquid eyeshadow (forgot the shade name) and it was so splotchy. I washed it off, started everything over without a base because I thought that was the problem and then it went on as a grey blob of splotchiness. I wasn't a happy girl. I've tried everything but it just isn't what it should be. The only way I can get it to work is to put some shadow on over it that I got at a theatrical makeup store that is an in your face matte lavender and then put more Strada on over it. I'm determined to use this stuff up being that I paid a big price for this lil pan.

Love this stuff! It shouldn't be worn alone because it isn't a "moisturizer", it's a balm. It leaves my skin silky smooth and ready for eye cream and concealer. I used to get concealer settling in lines under my eyes even though I'm in my 20's and have minimal signs of aging around my eyes. When I use this I get no settling of concealer and everything applies much smoother sans tugging on the delicate eye tissue. It is a bit inconvenient to use (two steps instead of one), it adds to my already too complicated routine but I BELIEVE it's worth it:)

Mascara -Avon - SuperFULL Mascara

This mascara volumizes without weighing down my lashes. It separates with minimal clumping. It doesn't smear or leave me with raccoon eyes. However, I hate the huge, ridiculous over sized packaging. The packaging is a bit of an overstatement and it takes up so much space. I like the mascara for times I want more drama but I find that it is dry and not very buildable.

What a waste of money! It did nothing but make my roots greasy. It did not deposit any color or shine to my dyed dark brown hair (I bought the one for dark brown hair). I have used deep conditioners that have added more shine than this. I did not use very much and it still made my hair look dirty, dull and greasy. My husband even asked me what was up with my dirty looking hair. This stuff is too expensive, it smells rotten and the packaging is a pain. I literally just threw ten dollars down the drain. This stuff went straight to the trash.

I don't love or hate this mascara. It isn't a HG (which I am still searching for) and it isn't the worst either. I can't believe the reviews are so negative. I have been using this for a month now, I have no clumps or flakies like other people are talking about. It isn't as dramatic as I want, but it does define, seperate and lengthen my lashes. My complaint is the lack of volume. Otherwise, I think it is a great mascara for the price.

Masks -Lancome - Empreinte

This mask is a really great, basic deep-cleaning mask. It seems to pull out every impurity and tightens pores. It dries really quick, which I love because I do not have 30 minutes to waste for a mask to dry. The scent is sort of strange to me, I think it is supposed to smell like ylang-ylang. It isn't a bad smell, I just do not like ylang-ylang. I will repurchase.

This is a very "old-fashioned", almost prudish fragrance, but I like it. It's a strange fragrace for a semi-skanky lingerie company to claim.

For some reason like every other woman on this continent, I love this fragrance and I don't know why. Yet, it smells so fake and strange. Everytime I wear it my husband always asks me where that fennel smell is coming from and thinks I am cooking Indian food. Other people always ask me if I have had eaten fennel or if I have finished cleaning the bathroom. Those aren't really compliments. But, I still wear it and I'll never know why, it must do something to the wearer's brain chemistry.

Palettes -Too Faced - Quickie Chronicles - The Summer Lover

Thank you for finally admitting it people. I was sucked in by the scandalous packaging. The product is crap. I was in denial for so long because I wanted to love it, I wanted it to be perfect like the bodies of the cheesecakes on the packaging. There is no pigment in the shadows and the colours fad like mad. Plus, they smell funny and cheap. After one use of the shadow applicator, the sponge tips fell off. I have used so many drugstore brands that were better than this. It is kids' makeup. I had better palettes when I was five by Tinkerbell (and they smelled better too). However, Too Faced is genius, I hate the product but I own four of these bad boys because they are so damn cute. Which is so stupid because I could have real makeup for this price.

Blush -NARS - Taj Mahal

A truly sparkling vivid orange that seems to melt beautifully into my pale complexion. For years I was terrified of this color because I thought it would look strange on my skin.I thought it was for girls way darker than me. Finally, I put it on at Sephora and couldn't believe how bright and alive looking I could be. I love it, just like all my other Nars colors.

Loose Powders -Lancome - Absolue Powder

This is a great powder for anyone who doesn't want to loose their "dewiness". I'm pretty young and use the Absolue foundation and powder. The powder is radiant. Yes, it is more expensive than other powders, but it will last forever. A little bit goes a long way. Also, I like to use shades like Caramel as a bronzer.

Lip Liners -Lancome - Le Lipstique in Bronzelle

The texture of this product, Le Lipstique, will last all day. This color is the best neutral ever and goes with everything. I have went through so many of these. Plus I like the lipbrush on the end.

Toners -Lancome - Tonique Douceur

This is my favorite toner. It is not drying and is very gentle. It has a nice rose scent. I have some of this product in a spritzer bottle to hydrate my skin throughout the day to give me a healthy dewy look.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy tubes in Spring fling

Spring Fling is my favorite JT shade. It can be layered for a more milky, pastel look for drama with smokey 60's eyes. I wear less in the day for a really sheer look. It's sheer with pink sparkles. It smells great too. It is kind of a thick gloss. Some people complain that it is sticky. I don't feel it, I just know it lasts alot longer than other glosses that I wear. I will repurchase when I run out.

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster

I love this base! I like that it applies white because I can see if it clumps. I wear Hypnôse over it and it is amazing. The trick for totally flawless lashes is to apply the base and then apply your mascara while the base is still wet. I bet you'll get many compliments on your lashes. Also, I love this stuff to condition my brows and lashes at night as a treatment. It washes off very easily in the morning. It is pricey, but I feel it is worth it because it actually works, unlike other bases that I have tried. I like this one better than the Shiesedo one and Clinique's.
