Sadly, I was unable to completely fall in love with this product because......of the overwhelming, cloying fragrance!!! My bf and I got horrible headaches from the scent. Seriously, it's that bad. Even after washing the product out of my hair, it was still there, and I only used a small amount. Turning on fans and opening up all the windows in the house helped completely rid of it. I honestly loved how it made my hair look and feel, so soft and shiny and moisturized. But until they make a fragrance-free version or change the scent or tone it down, I will most certainly never purchase again!!!
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eyestudio Quad-Sapphire Siren

Love, love, love this eyeshadow palette! Maybelline is surely becoming my "go to" eye shadow manufacturer! These colors are highly pigmented, very shimmery, easy to apply and very versatile. You can create so many different looks for a daytime or evening look. I love the shimmery ivory color that I love to use to highlight my browbone, and the aqua color to use all over my lids. The navy or black I sometimes use on my crease or outer-v for a more dramatic, nighttime look. All in all, I'm very impressed and a huge fan!
Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick in South St. Seashell

I absolutely adore this creme stick blush! I picked it up on a whim at my local drugstore over the weekend, and instantly fell in love! I was immediately attracted to the wide range of colors, it's creamy, velvety texture, and the super portable and cute tube packaging. I'm always a little hesitant to try a new blush, since I've been so faithful to Maybelline's dream mousse blush for many years, but this one is a solid contender. Also, I was unsure if this shade would compliment my skin tone. And luckily, it does! Pros: great color, goes on smoothly, easy to apply, very portable, super thick tube ensures that it will last a very loong time, very inexpenive Cons: very easy to apply too much and look 'clownish', so be sure to dab just a little bit at a time
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Mill Creek Keratin Conditioner

This gives me strong, soft hair for a great price and quality ingredients! I also adore the scent of this product. This has replaced my usage of Joico K-Pak because this is cheaper, and has no artificial ingredients and has keratin protein higher up on the list.
This is my review for the hair mask, and wow, I must say that I am in love! I had been looking for a replacement mask ever since the Activate Hydrate brand got discontinued, and thanks to Sally Beauty Supply, I found this holy grail product. It contains an array of heavenly ingredients like silk amino acids, raspberry extract, flaxseed oil, moringa protein, soybean extract, and vitamins b5, c and e, with illipe butter, honey and white lily extract to maintain moisture The scent is like freshly washed linens on a warm spring day, lol, seriously, it reminds me of clean laundry detergent and lilies, but not too overwhelming. Texture: Thick; Color: Opaque; Slip: Check Cones: Dimethicone is the second ingredient Verdict: Definitely e a staple, as I find good hair masques hard to find and this is definitely good
What a great, wonderfully smelling, inexpensive conditioner! Again, another Riteaid BOGO deal that I am so happy that I purchased. I love the ingredients, it has just the right amount of 'cones to make detangling a breeze. I have used this alone with many oils to deep treat my hair, and also have used in conjunction with Aubrey Organics HSR or Trader Joes Nourish Spa conditioner for an extra boost. It's lovely in any form. Not sure if it's been discontinued but I have stocked up that's for sure. I have type 4a hair (tightly coiled, coarse) if that is helpful to anyone.
Very moisturizing, even so for my thick, coarse naturally curly hair. I have used this as a rinse out and as a deep conditioner, and it works fairly well. I always add jojoba oil or castor or EVOO to my conditioners because my hair is so dry. Lovely ingredients (such as blue green algae and cupuacu butter) and it smells wonderful! Riteaid usually has BOGO deals on this brand. I like this product moreso than the shampoo.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational 165 Pink of Me

Very fun, shiny, smooth and nice smelling lipstick! It's super moisturizing, but doesn't last all day. The color is a little bright on my skin tone, but that's okay because I only use this every once in a while when the mood strikes. I love to wear this with light, summer outfits, mostly white or floral tops because it goes rather well. I would not wear this to work or any other professional function because it's not very "professional" looking in my opinion. Super cute, fun, bright and flirty. You can usually find good deals on L'Oreal cosmetics at most drugstores.
I cannot believe that this straightener, Tourmaline Flat Iron, works better than any of the more expensive straighteners that I've tried (Solia, Sedu, FHI). I purchased this for $50 at Sally Beauty on a whim, and am so glad that I did. My only issue with this straightener is the designer, it kinda has a tiny crevice in the upper corner, so it prone to snagging tiny pieces of hair if you are not careful. Other than that, I am so happy with my purchase. It gets my thick, coarse hair super duper straight!
I'm reviewing the Telescopic Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, which I've only been using for several months. I love how black and dramatic the color is, and it literally lasts all day. I found that the trick to taking the eyeliner off at night is to use an oil-based makeup remover on a cotton pad to swipe this off before you wash your face, otherwise it takes about 3-4 washes to get this off. As a matter of fact, I believe it states on the packaging to use an oil-based product to remove this. My personal fave is almond oil, followed by my Avalon Organics Citrus facial wash.
I always, always have this liquid eyeliner in my stash. It's so easy to apply, goes on smoothly and lasts "most" of the day. I took off one lippie because towards the end of the day it has a tendency to fade in the corners, but that could very well just be my luck because I tend to rub my eyes so they get watery. so maybe using an eye primer would help?
Love this color! Very fun, shimmery and edgy! It's a great way to spark up a daytime outfit or go for a daring nighttime look. Urban Decay definitely makes some of the best, highly pigmented eyeshadows on the market.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Color Juice - Strawberry Smoothie
twinkletoes0613 2/13/2011 4:28:00 PM
Mmm, a juicy, beautiful warm summery lip color! It goes great with my complexion. I love the thickness of this product because a little goes a long way. It goes nicely with most outfits and eyeshadows, so it's pretty versatile. The only thing that bugs me is how sticky it is and my bf complains about it, too.
I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this product yet, what was I thinking? This is one of the best bronzers I've ever used, and I've been using this one for many years! I think I paid less than 3 bucks for this and it's lasted me for so long, so it's quite the bargain. I always get tons of compliments when I wear this, most notably that I have a "nice glow", which is good to hear especially on days when I fell tired or sluggish. I usually use this to highlight my cheeks and nose and sometimes slightly across my forehead, also shows up very nicely in photos.
The only blush that I've been using for the past 4-5 years. I love it! And can usually find good deals on it at any of my local drugstores. Everytime I wear this blush people always tell me that I look "refreshed", which is so nice to hear especially on those mornings when I've had very little sleep. My only complaint is that sometimes it can get a little messy when applying this, so if you want to avoid that I'd suggest using your fingertips or a cotton pad because using a blush brush can sometimes cause it to fall all over you.
