PROS: *LOTS of gorgeous colors to chose from (my personal favorite is french kiss) *thin, sleek packaging. not a a big chunky thing. *smells AMAZING. Like Hawaiian punch. Yummm *NOT STICKY! Very smooth and creamy. *Color has great staying power. Lasted a good 4 hours on me without any touch ups. *Price was about 3 dollars at my Ulta store. Amazing! Way better than a 15 dollar Mac gloss or something. CONS: NONE

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
rated 3 of 5
taylor123 6/4/2013 10:33:00 PM

PROS: *the price was very decent, cost me only 4 bucks at Walmart. *DID NOT cause me to break out which some matte powders tend to do to me. *DID control my oil in my t-zone. CONS: *contains Talc, which is being known to not be one of the best ingredients for the skin. Can be irritating and cause acne. *looks ashy and cakey on me *horrible color selection, the most colors I've seen at any store in my area was 4 and I ended up just having to pick one that was a bit too light for me and just warmed it up with bronzer. *I wish there was mirror in the compact to do touchups throughout the day. Also it just has a plastic top that tends to come off in my makeup bag a lot. Not very secure. *Most of the colors I have found have most pink undertones, I am yellow so you can imagine how awkward that can look.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Love Spell
rated 2 of 5
taylor123 6/4/2013 10:28:00 PM

I feel the same way about this body spray as I do most of the Victoria Secret body sprays. I think this is quite overpriced and not the quality you would expect from Victoria's Secret. The smell is actually quite nice, a light floraly scent with a touche of sweetness. However, it doesn't last AT ALL on me.I smell for maybe a little over and hour and then it's gone which I think is ridiculous considering they cost 15 dollars with tax. I feel like I have to constantly spray and spray and spray which is really wasteful. I understand it's a body spray and not a perfume so it's not going to have a crazy long staying power in the first place but if that's the case the price should be more affordable. As much of a negative nancy I am, the packaging is adorable which all Victoria Secret body sprays are and they have so many different scents to chose from which is awesome. I would honestly be a body spray addict for VS if the scents were just a bit cheaper and lasted better. That's the only issue I have. I have a walmart body spray that lasts 5 hours longer and cost me like 6 bucks. You do the math :/

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
rated 3 of 5
taylor123 6/4/2013 10:22:00 PM

PROS: *good color range, it wasn't difficult to find a color that suited me well. the one i picked was almost right on. *price wasn't too bad. i didn't expect it to be dirt cheap because revlon is one of the more expensive drugstore brands but definitely was cheaper than a department store brand! *smells nice, a very light smell. you can't smell it once its on your face, just when it's being applied. *DEFINITELY controls oils! My face was shine free for a good 4 hours. CONS: *the packaging. i hate pour out bottles. Id prefer a tube or pump bottle. I always pour out too much and it ends up wasting the product faster. Also not very hygienic to pour it out onto your hand all the time. *you can DEFINITELY tell you have makeup on. This is not a natural looking foundation. Probably because it's a matte finish but just because something is matte doesn't mean you need to look like you have a mask on and honestly i felt like the Joker with this stuff on. *Is a pain to apply. I like to be able to use my fingers. I don't feel like it looks as good when you use your fingers. Definitely use a Sigma F80 or a buffing brush for the best results. *Can look cakey or streaky if not applied the best ways.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer
rated 2 of 5
taylor123 6/4/2013 10:15:00 PM

PROS: *great packaging, i love how it's in a pump bottle. definitely more hygienic than a tube or tub. *sinks into my skin fast! *doesn't feel oily or greasy just kind of silicony which most primers do anyway *DID NOT break me out. *No scent to it for the people that are picky about scented things going on the face CONS: *DID not control my oil whatsoever *Also did NOT feel like it made my makeups longevity any better. *I also think in my opinion, it's a bit expensive, especially considering it didn't really work for me. OTHER THOUGHTS: If you have combination skin you'd probably do just fine with this but to the girls with oily skin you'll probably be left disappointed. Just wasn't what I thought it was going to be at all!

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 2 of 5
taylor123 6/3/2013 11:21:00 PM

Pros: Nice packaging Easy to apply in the lash line Sets fast. Pigmented color Cons: Not as black as I would like Dries out fast in the jar Smudges on me after a few hours CANNOT put in the lower lash line as it disappears within hours Kind of pricey HOnestly if you want a good gel liner go for the Maybelline Eye studio gel liner in the color blackest black. Its a thousand times darker. The MAC one almost looks grey compared to the Maybelline one. It's a lot cheaper, doesn't dry out as fast and is just as easy to apply.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Strawberry Body Butter
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 6/3/2013 11:12:00 PM

PROS: *The smell is delicious. Most strawberry products I have used in the past have that artificial cheap strawberry smell but this is the exact opposite. It smells like a bowl of strawberries with a dollop of cream on top. It's sweet, fruity, a little tart. NOT plastic smelling, not fake smelling, not too overpowering either. Even though it's not a heavy smell it still last all day on my skin! *The texture is smooth and creamy. Very buttery! Go figure. Thankfully it's not greasy, I don't feel like I'm sliding all over the place and it doesn't make me oily. It definitely hydrates my skin and the moisture lasts all day. *Some people don't like that it's in a plastic tub, I personally don't care being that I use it right when I get out of the shower when I'm squeaky clean so it's not a hygiene issue for me. I personally like the packaging and honestly most body butters you find WILL be in a tub of some sort cause they're too thick to squeeze out of a tube. *The price in my opinion is right in the middle of being decent and overpriced. If the quality or smell was a fraction off I probably wouldn't spend the money but that's not the case. It's worth every penny. CONS: *NONE :)

Shampoo -Garnier - Hydra Recharge
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 5/31/2013 3:17:00 PM

I'm a bit of a shampoo junkie. I try a little bit of everything. So when this came out I was excited cause I am definitely a Gernier Fruits fan, I've always had great results from their prodcuts and this one definltely did NOT disappoint. It serves very well to it's name as it is a very hydrating shampoo. I started using this at the beginning of the summer because I was going swimming a lot and going to the beach and my hair started to feel really dry and crunchy. First impressions are this; the smell is heavenly. So fruity and delicious. The texture is very unique, it's almost like a jelly texture. It has little beads in it that pop when you start working it into your hair. It foams up nicely and washes out easily, it doesn't leave a squeaky feeling or residue on your hair. After my hair was air-dried I definitely noticed a difference in the texture of my hair. It felt a lot smoother and softer, it had a glow to it that I didn't see before. The price is definitely right, I got it for about 4 bucks at target. You can find it anywhere from walmart, cvs, walgreens, ect. I also got the conditioner which is equally great. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Other -Crest - Whitestrips
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 5/22/2013 2:19:00 PM

For starters my uncle is a dentist and I asked him about his professional opinion before I tried these white strips. Lots of people think that crest white strips are dangerous for your tetth and shouldn't be used but my uncle said they are perfectly safe as long as you use them as directed and not constantly. Use them only when you need them and don't get addicted to constantly trying to make your teeth whiter cause your tooth enamel can only get so white before the stripes have nothing else to whiten and start eating away at your enamel. With that being said I'll get on with my person review. I have sensitive teeth. The first time I used these was about a year and a half ago. I put both strips on my lower and bottom and was only able to have them on for about 5-7 mins before I got those sensitive pain sensations in my teeth. Took them off and didn't think I would ever use them again. Ended up visiting my uncle a few months after that and he suggested for me to use a sensodyn toothpast (toothpast for sensitivity) for about 2 weeks, twice a day before I used them again and see if that helped. I used Sensodyn for exactly 2 weeks, day and night and I decided to give it a go. It helped a HUGE deal. I was actually able to leave them on for the full amount of time suggested which is 30 mins. I didn't have any pain or sensitivity this time. When it was time to remove them I did see a difference in the whiteness of my teeth. A lot less of those yellowish/brown stains. My teeth were almost glowing. So beautiful! The application was simple, you just peel the strips off the plastic paper and fit them to your teeth. Try to avoid letting the strips touch your gums cause your gums can be a bit sensitive to the ingredients. You can talk, drink water and do your normal routine while you use them. Just don't eat or drink soda or anything like that. Now they are a bit expensive, I got the 10 pack and it was about 30 dollars but they can be as expensive as 75 dollars if you get a bigger pack. However let's be honest, that's not nearly as expensive as it would be if you had it done professionally by your dentist. I would definitely recommend this for people that want whiter teeth but don't want to splash out the couple hundred for the dentist to do it. I always have a few of these in my bathroom if I have a special event to go to and need my smile to be extra pretty. Love these. Just use them wisely and you shouldnt have a problem.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 4 of 5
taylor123 4/27/2013 10:16:00 PM

Everyone has been saying these products are over hyped and I would definitely agree on that however I still like the one I have a lot. I have the lip butter in Creme Brulee. It's a light beige nude. Perfect for every day natural lips. This was the only color that I really liked, the others were just something I could get somewhere else or nothing I haven't seen before. Ordinary mauves, reds and pinks but I've been wanting a beige nude for a while and got this. The texture is nice, smooth and creamy but because they called it a lip butter I expected it to be more moisturizing than it was. The finish is the thing I like the most, it's so glossy! You don't need a gloss overtop of it cause it already has that on it's own. Very nice finish. The lasting power was pretty poor, lasted about 2 hours or less on me. I had to reapply it a lot and felt like I was wasting the product a bit. The pigmentation was what I expected, light pigmentation, can be layered for more color but it's not gonna give you a lot of color no matter what you do cause it's just not that type of lip product. If it was about lasting color it wouldn't have the name that it has. So i expected it to be pretty sheer. It cost me 6 dollars at target which is reasonable to me. All in all, I would repurchase THIS color again for sure but I don't plan on venturing out into other shades cause I wasn't nuts about the rest and even if I was I would have to reapply it a a thousand times a day which is kind of wasteful.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 4/27/2013 10:25:00 AM

Pros: Pigmented, smooth, velvety, easy to work with! 4 dollars for 8 eye shadows! GREAT DEAL easy to find, got mine at walgreens. lots of colors to chose from. they go from neutral beige's and browns to smokey greys and chrome like colors. Durable packaging, dropped mine a few times and nothing has broken! Cons: NONE Other comments: These shadows are stunning. I prefer this over a lot of my high end shadows. Some of the colors are actually very similar to som MAC shadows so you can use these as dupes for a fraction of the price. I use my palette almost everyday and never get tired of it. Go and grab it ladies!

Pressed Powders -Neutrogena - Shine Control Pressed Powder
rated 2 of 5
taylor123 4/27/2013 9:44:00 AM

Pros: great packaging. slim, not chunky, nice sized mirror doesn't look cakey or ashy on my dark skin Cons: made my face itchy and i had to stop using it cause of that. didn't control the oil as much as i expected and i dont have excessively oily skin. just t-zone oil a little pricey for drugstore, cost me about 13 bucks. All in all, I would have liked this a little more if I didn't have such a weird reaction. Made my face red and itchy and had to wash it off after like 15 mins of it being on my face. Stopped using it and my face was ok after that. I prefer my Neutrogena mineral sheers powder more cause it works better with my skin, controls the oil and also gives me a little bit of coverage. I would definitely not repurchase this one though. Sorry! :(

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Crystal Water
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 4/27/2013 9:36:00 AM

Absolutely beautiful! This is a clear lip gloss with very fine milled glitter that's like a bluish color. It doesn't make your lips look blue though so don't worry about that! It's shiny and creamy. Has a nice vanilla smell. Has a doe foot applicator to get every edge of your lips.Packaging is very nice and compact. Good price, I think mine was about 6 dollars. It's easy to find, I've seen these at target, walgreens, cvs and walmart. My new favorite gloss!

Pros: Cost 3 bucks at Target. Easy to find and affordable DOES NOT shed at all. Gives an airbrushed finish to my foundation Smooth bristles, not scratchy at all! Cons: NONE E.L.F. brushes are amazing. I have a couple and this is one of my favorites by far. Works amazing with my concealer AND foundation. I like this better than my more expensive brushes and it's half the price! Love it. Grab it if you see it in Target!

Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer
rated 5 of 5
taylor123 4/14/2013 1:20:00 PM

I watch a lot of youtube reviews at one youtube girl I like did a very in depth review on this product. I have been looking for a good drugstore concealer since I have run out of my Bobbi Brown one which I love but it's pretty pricey. Decided to give this L'Oreal crayon one a try and I am so glad I did! The packaging is a great concept, I love that it's a twist up because I know for a fact I don't have a pencil sharpener big enough for this haha! The consistency is so creamy and smooth! I was kind of expecting it to be the opposite cause most crayon or stick concealers can be such a pain but this one is so easy to work with. It covers my blemishes and dark circles perfectly without looking too cakey or dried out. Under my eyes it's doesn't fall into my fine lines too bad as long as I set it with a powder. It's a good size and doesn't take up a lot of room in my makeup bag. The price was about 10 dollars which was a bit more than I expected but it's still worth it. I got mine at Walgreens so it's easy accessible. The only thing I would say is that they only had about 6 colors to chose from which is not a lot. If you're super fair or super dark you might have a problem cause they mostly had medium or medium light skintone colors...wish the range was bigger for other people. Luckily I'm a medium-tan skintone so I was able to find one. Overall I think this is a great product that deserves more love than it gets.
