Blush -mark - Good Glowing blush Pink Glo
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 8/27/2005 12:45:00 AM

I received this blush in a swap - and I am so glad that I did! I received it in a plastic pan thingy, which I'm not sure if mark. does or if this swapper did, but so what! In the pan this blush looks like a somewhat vibrant clean pink. I am a very pale, cool-toned girl with blue eyes and dark brown hair w/ red highlights. This blush is the most natural looking I've seen on me! I always thought that reds looked best until I tried Pink Glo. On my brush it looks very pale and seems like it won't show up, but after a few swipes, it gives a beautiful, innocent-looking "glow" that makes me look like i'm barely blushing. LOVE IT!!!

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color
rated 5 of 5

Absolutely LOVE this dye! The last time I dyed my hair a permanent color, it fried my hair and the color faded within a few days (I used Herbal Essences). I then turned to L'Oreal Colrospa temporary dye (which is really good!). I was so scared to try this Nutrisse dye but I caved in and bought it..only about $6, so I wouldn't be throwing away much money. I got this in "Sangria" which is supposed to be a darkish auburn-brown. This is the first dye that has NOT made my scalp tingle. The smell was not overwhelming at all, either. This is also the first dye that didn't make my hair feel dry and damaged when I washed it out. The conditioner is amazing and this dye made my hair feel really nice. The color came out a little redder than what it indicated on the box, but my hair already had lots of red in it so I'm blaming it on that. I love this color, though..very sexy!! I reccommend this dye to EVERYONE. They have lots of awesome colors and it's a very gentle dye!

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam V
rated 5 of 5

Wow, this lipstick really *is* my lips but better! In the tube it's a dirty rose color with subtle gold shimmer. On the lips it's a darkened pinkish-red and the shimmer is a little more noticeable. It is really smooth to apply and gives just the right amount of shine - not glossy, but reflects some light. I'm a cool/neutral LLL and it totally flatters my skin! I can see these color working on everyone and it looks like it would go with most makeup looks!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment - Frozen White
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 10/22/2004 2:15:00 PM

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!! This is the most gorgeous pigment that I have *ever* seen! It's a sheer frosty white with lots of blue & lavender iridescence. When applied dry, it gives a soft blue sheen and when applied wet, both the blue and lavender really show up and it also makes the pigment look more frosty. This looks beautiful paired with violet & grape pigments. I am a cool/neutral LLL and this pigment works just fine w/ my skin tone. I only have a sample of this, so when I run out, I am DEFINITELY going to buy a full jar! I say that everyone needs to run out and get this pigment just to try it..it really is one of a kind!

Lips -Maybelline - Wet Shine Lipstick in Pink Pout
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 10/11/2004 9:41:00 PM

I really like Maybelline's Wet Shine lipsticks! I just bought Pink Pout this evening and am wearing it right now - and I love it! It's a light to medium pearly pink with a gold sheen. I am a MAC NW20-25 with mostly pink undertones. I'm surprised that this l/s does NOT wash me out! I agree that this color would go with most makeup looks (i'm wearing it with green e/s right now). It's smooth, soft, and does not build up on the lips and get all nasty looking. It doesn't last forever but it is decent and I don't mind reapplying. And it's cheap, too! About $6 USD.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Certain Dri
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 8/28/2004 2:13:00 PM

WOW!! This stuff is freaking awesome! When I was 14 I started having problems with sweating under the arms..I don't know why, and it made my self-confidence plunge. I hated it so much. But then I heard about this Certain-Dri stuff here from the wonderful ladies of MUA and decided I had to try it. I am so happy to say that I am in love with it and couldn't be happier! It's only like $6 which is amazing for how long and how WELL this stuff works. It's a roll-on antipersperant that you only put on at night. It really does stop sweating! Usually I would sweat bad for no reason within like 5-10 minutes, now I don't sweat at all under my arms! I experienced absolutely no burning or itching, and I have sensitive skin. Everyone should try this, even if you don't sweat a lot..because you only have to apply it a couple times a week and you can do ANYTHING without sweating! WOOOHOOOOO!!

Skincare - Face -Clearasil - Total Control Multi Benefit
rated 4 of 5
scorpricorn 8/25/2004 10:42:00 PM

Crap! I really really really really wanted this to work for me..but nope, it didn't! This product is a "two-in-one" thing. It's a facial cleaner pump next to a moisturizer pump. The cleanser has 2% BHA in it, which I THOUGHT would help clear up my freakin crazy-ass skin. Well, it didn't really do that - at all - but it did make my skin ultra shiny and soft, as well as got rid of flakies on my chin & forehead. But after a week of using this, my skin started breaking out even MORE. I have oily skin with some dry patches but I am usually not prone to breakouts from products, just from my unfortunate skin genes. So I was unpleasantly surprised when this started making my skin worse. I have stopped using this cleanser for TWO DAYS and already my skin is better!! I still use the moisturizer though, for it keeps my flakies at bay and moisturizes my skin properly. The packaging kinda sucks because the pumps are so close together and you have to hold it in odd angles to make it work, but it's not too bad. The really great thing is that this was very cheap ($6.88 w/ tax at super wal-mart)..so I didn't waste TOO much money :) ***EDIT!!!*** Ok, so I started using this again on a regular basis and it's working!! My skin hasn't been this clear for 2 years! I figured out the thing that was breaking me out was the MOISTURZIER, not the cleanser! So I use the cleanser in the morning and before bed and I apply Cetaphil moisturizer. Works great! The cleanser also gets rid of flaky areas very quick!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 6/21/2004 9:48:00 PM

MAC #217 Blending brush is a must-have in EVERYONE'S makeup bag! The bristles are so soft which makes it extremely easy to apply and blend eyeshadow. This brush blends perfectly and doesn't hurt my eyelids like other brushes do. The only thing I hate about this is the price. $17 for a BRUSH? Oh well, it'll last forever and I'm happy with it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Satin Taupe
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 6/21/2004 9:45:00 PM

I had to get the guts to buy a brown e/s like this since they usually don't look good on me at all (im a PPP/LLL with blue eyes and reddish-brown-blond hair). I am SO glad I decided to buy it though! Satin Taupe is a dark brownish-maroon e/s with shimmer. It makes my blue eyes pop and looks great paired with MAC Shroom, Jane loose shimmery e/s in Energy (the pink one), Jane Clubbing, and lots of other colors!! It adds a bit of drama and depth to the eye and gives a smokey, sexy, mysterious appeal. I LOVE it!! This is a must-have for anyone with blue eyes!

Bronzers -NARS - Laguna
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 6/21/2004 9:39:00 PM

I freaking LOVE Laguna Bronzer!! I am a PPP/LLL with cool tones, blue-grey eyes, and warm toned hair (not sure what to call the color, lol). This bronzer goes perfectly with my coloring without making me look orange or dirty. It makes me look alive and glowy, and even make my skin look less flawed! I use it all over my face but mostly concentrated on my cheeks. For me it takes a bit to make it show up but then again I'm using a really crappy brush to apply it with. The main reason I love this bronzer is because usually I CANNOT wear brown e/s because they wash me out & make me look sick..but when I wear Laguna and then wear brown e/s, I can pull it off! The bronzer gives my skin just enough warmth so that it can go well with browns. I am in LOVE!! Even though it's expensive, it looks like this will last a while..so it's worth it!

Blush -MAC - Salsabelle (CCB)
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 5/23/2004 2:36:00 AM

FREAKING LOVE THIS!!! I really didn't think i'd like this CCB because in the pan it looks RED. I am a LLL who turns bright red all the time and sunburns easily, so the last thing I wanted was a red stain on my cheeks all day. The texture of this CCB is so smooth and on skin it is a shimmery coral. It gives me that flushed look that is NOT harsh at all and makes me look like I was just in the sun for a little while. When on top of Sundrenched CCB, it gives the perfect summery look. It does not make me look greasy at all and it stays on all day. This is definitely makeup worth buying!!

Blush -MAC - Cream Colour Base in Sundrenched
rated 4 of 5
scorpricorn 5/23/2004 2:33:00 AM

Sundrenched & Salsabelle are my first CCB's ever. At first I thought the product was too firm or something..not soft enough to pick up much pigment. Then I realized that you had to warm it up a little by rubbing your fingers around in it for a while. Anyway - on to Sundrenched itself. The color is nice but very sheer when on the skin. It gives a subtle shimmery pinkish glow that is really pretty in the sun. I hate the texture, though. It feels very gritty in the pan, but not on the face, so that's good. I was hoping this product had more color, but it makes a great highlighter. It looks nice under Salsabelle CCB.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Coral (from Salsabelle 2004)
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 5/23/2004 2:27:00 AM

I never thought I would look good with coral e/s. NEVER. I'm a LLL with cool/neutral tones and when I first ordered this e/s I was like, WTF am i thinking?! I made the right move, though. This is an AWESOME shade! It goes so well with bright, vivid colors such as Parrot and Guacamole. Even on its own it looks great. It can be paired with so many things and it has impressive staying ability. Yet another e/s worthy of 5 lippies!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Guacamole
rated 4 of 5
scorpricorn 5/23/2004 2:25:00 AM

This is a really pretty green. It's shimmery and vibrant, and its name suits it well! The only reason I didn't give it 5 lippies is because it's very sheer. It takes a bit to make the color look bold enough, but if you like wild colors to be more subtle, this is the perfect shade.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Parrot [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
scorpricorn 5/23/2004 2:23:00 AM

I frickin love this color! It's a shimmery bright, deep blue color. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! A little goes a long way, too. The staying power is great (i use Untitled paint under it) and it goes well with greens (like Guacamole), corals, pinks, and greys. This is the best product in the Salsabelle collection IMO. Everyone should try it!
