Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush

I MAY possibly have found a mascara to give my beloved Voluminous a decent run for the money. I got this in Very Black and have been very pleased with it. First of all, I love the brush. I dislike the plastic bristle brushes and this one is big and fluffy. It is on a flexible wand so I can easily work it into the base of my lashes. While it doesn't give me AS much volume as my L'oreal, it comes pretty damn close. The area where it definitely trumps my Voluminous is that it holds curl fantastically and never makes my lashes feel gummy or sticky. I'll always have a place for it in my mascara rotation.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser Cream
realcutiepie 1/9/2013 5:44:00 PM
I have been using this for about a month now and have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. I don't have a huge problem with breakouts anyway so I don't notice much improvement in that area. However, since using this, my skin is extremely soft and glowing and even toned. I don't use a separate makeup remover to remove my face makeup before hand but I really work this into my skin and it gets everything out. I do use eye makeup remover as this does NOT do a thorough job in that department. I always hesitated to use a cream cleanser in the past but I think I am becoming hooked on the texture and thickness of the cream and I like being able to work it into my skin. I will continue to purchase this as long as it works for me. I love what it does for me and my skin. You only need a little bit, so a tube will last forever. I may need to switch to a foaming cleanser in the summer but for now, in the dry Arizona winter, this works wonders.
I keep this on hand for zit emergencies. Luckily I rarely get those huge, red, painful zits but when I do, this stuff is pretty good. I only use it at night since it will leave you white and pasty. While it is not a "miracle product" it cuts the life span of a zit significantly. It can dry out the surronding skin quite a bit so use sparingly. All in all a good product to keep on hand.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Cherry Blossom Body Splash

I like this body spalsh quite a bit!! I love the Japanese Cherry Blossom one too. This is light and girly and it lasts a lot longer then one would suspect. I plan on wearing it a lot come spring.
Hair -Got 2 Be - Rockin' It Encore Fresh Dry Shampoo

Holy Grail!!! I love this dry shampoo, it refreshes my hair when it is limp or in need of a shampoo but there is no time. I had previously used Tigi Rockaholic but got sick of having to return them to the store when I would get a bottle that would leak after two uses. The price is amazing. I get mine for like 5 bucks at Walgreens and several tmes they had a sale where all Got 2 Be products were buy one get one free, which is a fantastic deal. I like the fruity smell and the fact that even though I have dark hair this dosen't leave it white and dusty. This also seems to make hair smoother and softer as opposed to dry and chalky like other dry shampoos. I don't have oily hair and this product lets me get away with washing it only twice a week :)
My sister gave me an almost full tube of this and I was really excited to try it. The reviews are excellent and I'm sorry I have to bring down the rating... The first few times I used it, I really liked it. The purpose of a dry exfoliant that becomes a paste when mixed with water was pretty unique. My skin felt pretty soft and even though I didn't notice decreased pore size like with my beloved Apricot scrub It was fun to use. All of a sudden after using it my skin started breaking out. While I do get a few small pimples around my period, my skin is pretty clear. I was shocked to see not only big cystic pimples but rashy bumpy ones too. A little voice in my head whispered I was having an allergic reaction to something but I ignored it...I blamed it on stress, diet, travel etc and stubbornly refused to give up my Dermalogica scrub. Fianally the acne cleared up (somewhat) but weekly when I would uses this, my skin would burn and be red for hours afterward and be so dry.I must be allergic to something in it? I gave it up sadly. And I still have so much left!! Im thinking of using it as a body scrub, just to use it up.
I don't have wrinkles or crow's feet yet. I mainly purchased this eye cream as a preventive measure and to add moisture to my eye area. This eye cream really does add moisture and makes the skin around my eyes smooth. I only can use this at night as it stings my eyes a bit and dosne't sink in enough to not interfere with my concealer and eye makeup. The reason I will not repurchase is that I swear this blocks my eye lash follicules and gives me styes if I use it too many days in a row. I always wash my eyemakeup off asap and keep my products and tools clean. However without fail, i always get pain and swelling at the base of my eyelashes if i use this regulary. As soon as I give myself a break, the problem stops. The quest for a good eye cream continues..
I've used this on and off for years. Recently I purchased it again and plan on using it devotedly once a week. I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said on here but this stuff is pretty awesome. Leaves my skin soft and smooth, dries up pimples and soaks up oil. Hasn't helped my blackheads a ton, but defintely makes them less noticeable. Buy the one in the tube. The Tub one is a better deal but dries out fairly quickly and becomes a pain to spread on the face. Husbands love it too and is one of the only ways I can get mine to take care of his skin!
Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black
realcutiepie 11/4/2011 5:40:00 PM
I have tried soooo many different mascaras over the years: Cover Girl Lash Blast and Lash Blast Fusion, Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping (epic fail) Dior show(eh) and Benefit Bad Gal ( good but expensive) I feel so bad for cheating on my Voluminous because honestly there is nothing better out there. For the record, I have the lamest eyelashes on the planet. They are thick but super short and stick straight. I have to curl them and layer my mascara to make them look like they even exist. This mascara is the ONLY one that preserves my painstakingly created curls. I can easily layer as many coats of this as i want and it never clumps or makes my lashes spiky or crispy feeling. Lately ive had problems with various mascaras irritating my eyes ( Lash Blast) but this never does. I've never described a product as Holy Grail but as I type this I know this is my Holy Grail. If I ever have the audacity to cheat on this again, I deserve what ever I get, but I know that Voluminous will always patiently wait for me and welcome me back.
Conditioner -L'Oreal - EverPure Moisture Conditioner
realcutiepie 11/4/2011 5:29:00 PM
I use this with the matching shampoo and it gives me soft, silky hair full of bounce. My hair feels completely moisturized yet not weighed down. Herbal scent is not my personal favorite but it is not unpleasant. My sister gave this to me because she was moving and I have to thank her because it is a new favorite!! Husband loves it too!
My sister moved out of state and gave me 2 brand new bottles of this and the matching conditioner. I am in LOVE with these. I've only used them once so far but my hair was as soft as silk and frizz free. I haven't needed to shampoo again since using it 3 days ago!! My hair isn't oily or flat and still looks and feels perfect. The shampoo lathers well and you only need a small amount so this will last me forever. The only possible negative is the smell...herbal scents are not my favorite. This smells like rosemary and has a very crisp scent. It's not bad but it is there...this won't hinder me from using it as the results are worth it. My husband loves the smell so to each their own.
Bought this on a whim when a non medicated cleanser was no longer enough for a few late summer zits. It was on sale for like 5 bucks and I gave it a shot. I was a little nervous my first time using it as it is a whipped cream like consistency and does not lather. I prefer foaming cleansers because I feel they remove dirt and makeup better. Surprisingly this cleanses quite well! It doesn't leave my face feeling dry or filmy. It takes me a little longer to wash because I spend a while massaging my face to make sure it cleanses thoroughly. It has made quite a difference in not only how my skin looks, but how it feels as well. While I still get a few small zits (nothing is perfect) they do not last very long. My skin is more even toned and very smooth and soft. Hasn't dried me out even though I use it twice a day. I play around with my cleansers alot and usually buy what is on sale but if this ever does, I definitely would repurchase.
I had heard sooo many good things about this hairspray from magazines and beauty editors. It became a cult product I was dying to try. I can honestly say it is overrated. The smell didn't bother me too much... I kind of think all hairsprays smell bad lol. The bottle was really neat and vintage looking. The reason I hate this is because it makes my hair super frizzy. When i use a curling iron or rollers, my hair will look fantastic until i spray on Elnett. Instant frizz and dry straw texture. I don't even think the hold is that great... My curls droop In about an hour. I tried to give it to my mom but she says it gives her white flakes. She gave it back to me and I now have half a bottle of this crap sitting in my bathroom gathering dust. My mom and I both now use Tresseme Tres Two and are very happy about it.
Not knowing much of anything about the Twilight franchise, I bought this simply because it looked cool and I love lip stains. This product was a disapointment for the amount i paid for it. First off the color is cool. It gives your lips a cool bruised red look. I do notice my lips looking plumper and fuller when i wear it also. However, it is pretty hard to achive an even distribution of color with this. When i wear this, my inner bottom lip is super dark and my top lip dosen't have as much color. The consistency of the stain itself is too oily to build a uniform color. I put a waxy balm like Burts Bees under it and that helps a bit however. I gave it 3 stars for the deep purple red color, plumping effect and neat little package. I will continue to use it every once in a while ( wayyy to expensive to toss it) but i won't repurchase for it's uneven staining ability. A noble attempt by DUWop to create something cool and different but kind of falls short in the execution.
Received a sample of this soap earlier this week from my local Lush shop. My husband and I are on a bit of a LUSH kick and fought over who got to wash their hands with it first. I really liked this soap!! I look sweet, food like aromas and this is definitely sweet!! It smells like cotton candy and a hint of vanilla. It smells a teeny bit artificial to my nose but it isn't unpleasant to me but I can definitely see how some people could despise this. The scent is STRONG too. The tiny little sample piece scents the entire bathroom. The scent stays on your hands FOREVER after you rinse so be warned. Another thing i like about this soap is that it lathers easily and the suds are very creamy and smooth. It dosen't dry out my hands but it leaves a bit of a chalky feels behind. All in all, I would repurchase....after I play around with other LUSH soaps that is.
