Toners -Clarins - Toning Lotion (Alcohol Free) for Combination/Oily Skin
piggytoes 9/1/2012 4:09:00 PM
This was "meh" for me. Don't find that toners really do anything for my skin, no matter what brand I've used.
A great cleanser that doesn't overdry my skin. I only use a tiny bit with my Clarisonic and it lathers over my entire face.
Concealers -Shiseido - Natural Finish Cream Concealer

My HG concealer. Coverage is fantastic - I only need to use a tiny bit to cover my acne scars and blemishes. It looks very natural on and has fantastic staying power under other makeup. The range of shades may not suit everyone. Luckily I am Asian and have a yellow undertone to my skin, so the medium shade works fine for me.
This made my skin break out, big time. I was expecting better from Clarins, especially since I paid $40 for this! I wanted to like it so badly, since the coverage was light, natural and long-lasting. Sigh! Back to the makeup counter I go...
Decent product that I tend to use more as a spot treatment than a masque. It helps zap the oil out of zits when I catch them early! Sometimes I use overnight.
Moisturizers -Marcelle - Multi-Defense Cream SPF 15

I've used this for the past 3 weeks and my acne-prone, dry/combination has taken very well to it. It glides on light and is easy to apply, taking 2-3 minutes to be fully absorbed. I took off one lippy because according to Paula Begoun, it may not protect from the full range of UVA rays. If that's true, it's a shame because this lotion is great. The Marcelle website has this description: ---- Multi-Defense Cream SPF 15 The cream of the crop for healthy, young looking skin. Luxury Has No Boundaries With its light creamy texture that glides onto skin, it is your best ally for keeping a radiantly fresh and young looking skin. It helps prevent the first signs of ageing thanks to its protective sunscreen, which stops UVA and UVB rays from damaging your skin and helps minimize the appearance of brown spots and fine lines. Enriched with sweet almond oil, face and neck will be softer, smoother and gorgeously hydrated. Formulated with a mixture of vitamins A and E renowned for their antioxidant properties, your skin will be protected against free radicals. Hypo-allergenic and perfume free. Ideal for normal to dry skin. Format: 1.7 OZ / 50 mL Suggested retail price: $19.95 ----
Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion

Good staple. It moisturizes all day and is reasonably priced.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Divine Calm Blissful Body Butter
piggytoes 4/28/2011 9:21:00 PM
I bought this during a Body Shop promotion because I loved the smell.. great for helping me relax just before bed. The aromatherapy effect is wonderful, but as a lotion, it was just alright as far as moisture goes. I'd buy this again if it were on sale.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue

I bought this in the winter when my hands were really dry. It's rich and easy to spread on my hands. I like to use it before bed, and wake up to soft hands!
Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum
piggytoes 4/28/2011 9:11:00 PM
I like this product a lot. I only need to apply a dime-sized amount on my medium/long hair, and it dries with a light, unnoticeable finish and leaves my hair sooo soft and touchable, like a baby's! I can't comment on how it does with frizz, though, because my hair is very straight.
Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex
piggytoes 4/28/2011 7:48:00 PM
This is my first major beauty splurge ($93 CAD for a 1.7 oz bottle). I've only used this for 5 nights, and so far my skin feels more moisturized (likely due to the hyaluronic acid) and skin tone has become more even. I love the eyedropper used to apply the serum - it's very hygienic and dispenses a precise amount of product. I can't speak to the anti-aging properties yet as I'm only in my mid-20s. Haven't used long enough to see if it will fade my acne scars or sun spots yet. Will update as time goes on!
Deodorants -Nivea - Calm & Care 24h Anti-perspirant Roll-On

This is my favourite anti-perspirant. It has a great, clean smell and works all day. I love it!
Cleansers -The Body Shop - Vitamin C Cleansing Face Polish

This smells like a delicious citrus fruit, and the beads are very gentle. It's nothing special, though -- I could get a drugstore brand face polish less expensively.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Aloe Vera soothing rich night cream
piggytoes 3/30/2011 11:52:00 PM
This was the wrong moisturizer for me. I break out easily, and too often, using this gives me pimples the next morning. :( I'll have to stick with Cetaphil until I settle on something that doesn't make me break out.
