Concealers -Tarte - Dark Circle Defense Under Eye Corrector ] [DISCONTINUED]

NC15. I used to use Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque before I discovered this gem. I use Fair/Light and apply with my fingertip in a patting motion. I barely have to use any for full coverage of my massive circles! I set with Benefit Powderflage and experience no fading or creasing. It is a firmer texture than BB's Corrector and Concealer, but it really works better for me. I am almost to pan and plan to purchase another when I am finished.
Lipstick -Edward Bess - Ultra Slick Lipstick in Secret Desire

NC15. I have recently discovered Edward Bess lipstick, and Secret Desire is a favorite! It is a light natural pink color. MLBB, with a touch of peach. The formula is glossy and lasts an average of 3 to 4 hours. I love the smell- perfumey and fruity. The packaging is sleek and simple. This is definitely a new favorite color that will go with many looks!
Lipstick -Edward Bess - Ultra Slick Lipstick in Forbidden Flower

NC15. This is a gorgeous light nude peach that actually looks peach on my lips! It is opaque enough to cancel out the pink of my lips, but it doesn't give me corpse lips either. I love the creamy soft formula. I wouldn't call it long lasting, but it is average. The scent is not Esteee Lauder fig, more of a perfumey fruit smell that is hard to describe. I actually love the smell. The packaging is sleek and simple- my favorite. I did have to send back a tube that wasn't latching properly, but have had no issues with my other tube. I am loving this unique shade in my lipstick collection!
Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer in 0 Neutral
partymartyw 7/30/2010 3:05:00 PM
This is a colorless primer that has the consistency of a light lotion or serum. I use it under my NARS Sheer Glow to help the foundation go on smoothly and not adhere to dry patches. I would not recommend this primer for oily skin at all. I find it helps my foundation not settle into fine lines at the end of the day. I have already repurchased my second bottle. I use one pump for my entire face, and I don't let it dry for long. Apply foundation while it is still slightly damp for best results. My one bottle lasted nearly a year with daily usage.
Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
partymartyw 7/21/2010 2:26:00 PM
Albatross is a shimmery golden white highlighter. It works well on my NC20 skin to highlight and on the inner corners of my eyes for a bright eyed look.
Deep Throat is a shimmery pinky peach color. It is a no-brainer peach blush for me that goes with most anything. Perfect on my NC20 skin!
Exhibit A is a matte bright orange. I use a skunk brush and barely tap the bristles into the pan. Apply lightly and buff a lot. This gives a nice healthy flush on my NC20 skin. Love!!
Lovejoy is a bronzed plum with subtle golden shimmer. On my NC20 skin, it gives a contoured effect. It can be subtly applied or layered for intensity.
Amour is a matte pinky peach. I use a skunk brush to give a peachy glow on my NC20 skin. NARS blushes are highly pigmented and are quickly becoming my favorite brand.
A lovely deep chocolate brown with no shimmer. This is very neutral and has a wonderful soft matte texture. Not at all chalky, and very versatile.
Palettes -Urban Decay - Book of Shadows Vol. II [DISCONTINUED]

This is a great way to try Urban Decay if you never have. This is a nice selection of colors, and very few have the obvious glitter chunks I detest. I have come up with many different eye looks from this palette. The only thing I hate is how much room it takes up in my makeup drawer- it is a but heavy too. A wonderful palette, if you have the chance to get it, do!
I decided to go for the hype and get this brush. At first I was let down. The brush was all right, but seemed a little large. I decided to use it anyway, and after a week I was hooked! This applies blush perfectly to the apples of my cheeks without being heavy or obvious. I can layer for more depth if desired, but I almost never have to blend my blush afterward. Perfect every time. I would highly recommend this!
I am NC20 and got Shell 003. It is a good winter match, though I could see needing a shade darker in the summer. This foundation is thin in texture and has light coverage. It is loaded with shimmer. I found a damp sponge gave too light coverage and fingers worked better. I used NARS Loose Powder to set it, and that seemed to help tone the shimmer down some. I don't see the shimmer from a distance when I look in a mirror, but it is very evident in sunlight. This wore well all day with no touch ups- I have combo/dry skin. Overall, I will keep it since it is cheap and did a decent job, but I wouldn't repurchase. I still love my NARS Sheer Glow! *changed to say I will repurchase. This gives a nice finish, wears well, and I have been using it for 3 weeks straight. I think I love it!*
I have combination skin that needs some coverage. I don't have any real skin issues, I just want something to even my coloring and cover redness. This goes on light and smooth and feels like nothing. I set it with the Loose Powder and it lasts all day! It doesn't look like a mask, just like my skin is perfect. I would say it is more of a matte finish and definitely not sheer. Medium coverage. I love it! NC20 and Mont Blanc was perfect. *UPDATE* I am still loving this even in the winter, though I have started using a damp sponge to apply. Flawless!
I love this color- it is very unique. It is a cool silvery frost in some lights, but in others I get a golden flash. I have paired it with greys and purples so far. A must have for me. NC20 blue eyes
