Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup

I bought this on a whim and at the time, I didn't hear a peep about this foundation. I am glad I made my own conclusions about it. First, I am an NC 20 and 150 buff was too light and gave my skin a grey hue, so I went to the 200 level. Very strange as I am always in the 100 levels, but it is a good match. The texture as it suggests is whipped and is smooth like butter. This makes my skin look flawless and as the day passes, it actually looks better. I have normal skin during the winter and combo-oily in the summer. I find my skin does not become a slick. The coverage is medium and the finish is a slight satin. My issue is that the cover's threads have broken and I cannot close it properly. Other than that, lovely foundation.

This is part of the Summer Limited Edition Hey Sailor collection. Lovely nude/champagne with some shimmer (not glitter). Looks great on it's own with some mascara or put it with Wedge, Patina, Brun, All that Glitters.... you name it. Easy to blend, wear and pair.

Mascara -MAC - Opulash Optimum Black mascara
rated 5 of 5
panda78 5/16/2012 11:08:00 PM

I have to say I have tried so many mascaras and while they pretty much darken my lashes and volumize, many of them end up being smudged in a couple of hours. Welcome Opulash. I believe it is the kaolin clay that helps it from ending up under my eyes. It keeps my long lashes curled and soft without flakes. Mind you, it is a drier formulation and a volumizing one too, therefore it will dry out faster than other wet mascaras. If you have oilier lids, this is a great one for you. I have the blackest one and it isn't as dry as the original. Very good mascara.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I will admit to being a foundation snob and a "collector" of sorts. Therefore I do not own many mass foundations. I heard great reviews regarding this foundation, but I was somewhat disappointed. I have the normal/dry formulation. I didn't like the finish nor the coverage. The glass bottle without a pump drives my OCD (not really) into overdrive. I think for someone with slight problematic skin who wanted zero dewiness or radiance, this would be good. Also, mass foundations are not inexpensive these days and I fully believe that you should spend extra on your base.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Naked
rated 5 of 5
panda78 2/20/2012 6:08:00 PM

Naked is hard to catch the eye. Understandably so, it isn't flashy nor trashy. I use it during the day as a nice natural look. It can also been used a a lovely highlighter under the brow or on the cheekbone. I believe I read that someone used MAC's lipglass with it and created a beautiful nude lipgloss......haven't tried that one. A great staple for a multitude of looks. Less peachy-pink and shimmery then Naked Lunch, but equally as versatile.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 4 of 5
panda78 2/20/2012 6:02:00 PM

Ok so I haven't jump on the Orgasm bandwagon, way too glittery and shimmery. Instead Deep Throat is its classically- tailored -dressed cousin from Boston. Sophisticated, very pretty, natural, and slightly peachy- pink and does what blush should do. Does not oxidize, yes I am talking to you MAC blushes and lasts on the cheek. I worked a 16 hour day recently, whilst it was faded by the end of the shift, it was still there. If you want an alternative to Orgasm and like Nars blushes, give Deep Throat a try. Took off a lippie as overtime, the rubber packaging makes the product look grubby

Lipstick -MAC - Double Spin (Cremesheen)
rated 3 of 5

This Creamsheen is part of the Holiday collection. A very light pinky, mauve colour that really lightens the lips. It isn't for everyone as it can make one looked washed out. I have worn it on its own, but I will have to try in overtop of other colours to get its full effect. Interesting colour and lovely feeling on the lips

Lipstick -MAC - Soft Sable
rated 5 of 5
panda78 11/16/2011 3:09:00 AM

I was drawn to this collection and this colour. Actually, the lipsticks for this Holiday collection are lovely. This particular colour reminds me of Platinum Lamé by Revlon. Soft sable is a brown, but with hints of purple that make it wearable for most people. It brings out any green you might have in your eyes. The texture is a frost (I think).

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Happy Hibiscus
rated 4 of 5
panda78 11/15/2011 3:24:00 AM

When I first saw this colour, I had to have it. I put it on and I questioned it, but then I really took a look at myself and loved what I saw. It is a milky, pigmented light pink. I like wearing a kitten flick with this, it isn't for everyone, but I love it

Lipstick -MAC - Violetta Amplified (Pro)
rated 4 of 5
panda78 11/15/2011 3:21:00 AM

Violetta makes the green in my eyes say "hello"! I don't wear much else as this needs to take centre stage. Bright, pinkie purple, will look good on fair and dark skins.

I love these lipsticks. Great colours, texture and feel. My lips feel hydrated and this colour gives me a little punch. It makes my hazel green/brown eyes pop and who doesn't love that!

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
rated 5 of 5

Again, another foundation that I had to buy :) Chanel, you blow me away with your foundations, even though more times than not, you are very expensive. This little lovely goes on like a dream. My skin looks alive and there is quite a bit of coverage. My gripe is the same as always with Chanel foundations - not enough colours. I bought B20 which I am hoping to get away with in the winter, because their lightest is way toooooo pink. I generally use my fingers, but when I have time I use a stipling brush and my skin looks flawless.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Metallic Creme Eye Colour- Rose Gold
rated 3 of 5
panda78 4/7/2011 6:32:00 PM

Such a pretty colour. Normally, I am afraid of pinks, but this is lovely. Such a wearable colour and it goes on so smoothly. It does last, however, without primer this does crease. I wear it alone or with any kind of browns. It makes my hazel brown/green eyes sparkle.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 4 of 5
panda78 4/7/2011 6:05:00 PM

I am going to follow the masses and say I love this palette. I am fairly new to Urban Decay and this is a good start to begin a love affair. The textures and shades are lovely and deserve the hype. There are products out there that all they are is hype, but this has substance. I am a makeup artist and I have access to way too much, so when I like something, it isn't just hoping on the proverbial band wagon. They blend so well and yes, they have glitter, which I hate. I am not a teenager and glitter shouldn't go beyond the teenage years. I find the unfortunate ingredient can be overlooked.

Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
panda78 3/29/2011 6:49:00 PM

Okay, so I gave into another foundation and I am so glad I did this time. I love love love this one. My skin looks healthy and dewy (not oil slicked) but glowing and lovely. People have commented on how good my skin looks. Right on! The only problem is the colour selection- they are limited and I have found this with most Chanel foundations. It can be hit or miss. I like to use this with my fingers to get a natural look. If my skin is looking haggard, then I use a brush for of an air brushed look
