Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 1 of 5

Sadly, this oil seriously irritated my very sensitive eyes. Otherwise it worked great getting off my MU (including mascara). I will have to stay with Shu Oil.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 1 of 5

This doesn't even remove TM, unless you use twice or scrub with a washcloth. Even my sensitive skin can take a cleanser that actually cleanses. This isn't it.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
rated 3 of 5
noseofblue 4/16/2013 2:27:00 PM

I don't like this mascara because of the brush. I like a mascara I can just swipe on, but this one requires constant adjustment of the position of the brush to get it right. The result is good but it's just not for me--I will stick to mascaras with brushes that work in any position.

Concealers -Exuviance - Cover Blend Multi Function Concealer
rated 4 of 5
noseofblue 2/25/2013 7:17:00 PM

This is the ONLY concealer I've ever used that has made a dent in my under eye circles, and I have tried dozens over the years. It is a liquid in a squeeze tube, and I apply with a Real Techniques brush from a tiny amount squeezed onto the back of my hand. It makes a difference, stays put and doesn't crease as long as I'm careful not to apply too much. This is a keeper.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Expert Face Brush
rated 5 of 5
noseofblue 2/6/2013 12:25:00 PM

This is now my HG foundation brush (for liquid). I like a flawless finish, and this brush gives it. I tested it on half my face against the RT and MAC stippling brushes and MAC's regular foundation brush. No contest. It does use more product than the stippling brushes, but the result is worth it. Particularly at the price, this is a great way to go. Note that for TM I like the stippling brush better (see my review).

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia2
rated 5 of 5
noseofblue 2/3/2013 12:52:00 PM

I bought the Mia2 because it comes in a plastic case and travels well. I already have a Classic (see my review), which is an amazing product but doesn't travel well. If I had it to do over, I'd just get the Mia2 because it travels better and is lighter (although I do like the convenience of the Classic's charging stand). Using my Clarisonic (whichever one), has improved my skin tone. For me, it's a must have.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Stippling Brush
rated 5 of 5

This brush is excellent for applying tinted moisturizer (for foundation, I prefer the Expert Face brush). I stipple it on, buff, then re-stipple dark spots. It takes very little time, and the result is flawless coverage. I tested this brush on one side of my face and used the MAC 187 on the other, and it wasn't even close--the RT brush was so much easier to use and more effective. I paid only $1 for this brush at Ulta (sale plus coupon plus points), but it would be a great value even at its full price. Not only would I buy again, I already did.

Eyeliner -Almay - wake up eyeliner + highlighter
rated 1 of 5
noseofblue 1/23/2013 8:53:00 PM

Well this is just nasty. The eyeliner seriously irritated my eyes (I did not apply it to the waterline) and bled. I don't have one good thing to say about this product, and I am particularly disappointed in Almay, which says it's gentle.

Moisturizers -Murad - Resurgence Sheer Lustre Day Lotion SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
noseofblue 1/23/2013 2:09:00 PM

I would not buy again because of the heavy smell. I bought this moisturizer to replace DC'd PTR Unwrinkle Day, which I loved. This moisturizer has a similar texture and SPF and applies nicely, but unlike other Murad products, appears to be scented. I don't know if it's one of the actives or if they just added scent, but UGH.

Eyeliner -Pop Beauty - In-Line
rated 1 of 5
noseofblue 12/14/2012 1:51:00 PM

This liner is meant to be used on the inner lid, essentially tightlining (according to the box). It's allegedly waterproof, but it soon bled under my eyes. Worthless. Do not buy.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - Age Smart Skin Resurfacing Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
noseofblue 10/24/2012 5:49:00 PM

This product amazed me. I never before considered a cleanser with actives--I always felt that as long as it cleansed and didn't leave me too dry or too greasy, that was fine and I would take care of skin issues after cleansing. Wrong. The smoothness of my skin after using this is unparalled, even without my Clarisonic. It's now my HG. The only downside is that it will irritate eyes, so be careful.

Moisturizers -Olay - Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream fragrance-free
rated 1 of 5
noseofblue 10/17/2012 7:19:00 PM

Bottom line--it doesn't moisturize. It goes on fine, but I wake up with really dry skin. Not acceptable.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara
rated 4 of 5
noseofblue 9/18/2012 7:12:00 PM

I had so hoped this product would be the replacement for my beloved discontinued Volume Exact. So not. Same brush, same color, but not volumizing at all. Don't waste your time/money if you are looking to replace Volume Exact. UPDATE--this product improves with use, so I'd buy again.

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Facial Cleansing Towelettes
rated 1 of 5
noseofblue 4/29/2012 1:36:00 PM

These are just nasty. The smell is way too strong. It took 2 wipes just to remove my TM. I won't buy, or even use, again.

Lipstick -Laura Mercier - Courtisane
rated 5 of 5
noseofblue 3/24/2012 2:39:00 PM

I can't believe my initial reaction was to return this--the light must have been bad. Courtisane is a stick gloss in a sheer, shiny gorgeous muted pink/red that I can't imagine looking bad on anyone. If I lined up all my dozens of lipsticks and glosses and could only save one, this would be it. Nuff said.
