Concealers -Unlisted Brand - Dalton Conceal-it Concealer

If you have oily skin, I don't recommend this. I've been using Dermablend Cover Cream for 7 straight years now and I shouldn't have strayed. This slides off my oily skin in hours as a concealer. I could only recommend this to ladies with dry/mature skin as the product seems silicone-like and may be good for that particular skin type, but not for younger, oily skin like mine. I will give this product a little plus that doesn't make this product completely worthless to me. I can wear it as a fast, on-the-go errands foundation for the whole face. The coverage is pretty good may I add as a foundation. It dries cream-to-powder like for a foundation purpose. For concealer, I just don't care for it. Mainly due to the texture/consistency of the formula. Or maybe I'm just used to the super dry consistency, stay put formula of the Dermablend which makes me biased to not like this. Either way, this is something I'm never buying again.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
rated 4 of 5

I would have given this 5 lippies if it weren't for the smell. I don't care for the smell. As far as a good hand cream for people who are constantly washing their hands and suffer from dry chapped cracked hands, this stuff is great. The cream is good enough to buy again despite the smell.

Bronzers -Laura Geller - Baked Body Frosting in Angel Glow
rated 5 of 5

***This is not a bronzer*** Angel Glow is a gorgeous light iridescent pink to liven up pale, dead looking legs, arms and chest who don't necessarily want to bronze or self tan. I absolutely love this and will buy it forever. The size of the pan is gigantic. I have used it over 10 times and haven't put a dent in it. The packaging is a little bulky but I can live with that. It gives your skin an "angelic" look like the name: Angel Glow. Not to mention, it makes your skin look younger too! Love it and highly recommend. I also have the Body Frosting in Sugar Glow that is the same thing only it doesn't suit my skintone as well as the Angel Glow. Sugar Glow is more of a gold tone that I think would look more lovely on medium to tan skins.

Sunscreen -Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+
rated 2 of 5

I can picture most women liking this. It has a thin, light consistency, non offensive smell, and doubles as a primer to *those that are partial to silicone primers*. Due to this, with my oily skin, this does not work well under my makeup contrary to most of the reviewers! If you aren't a fan of silicone/slip -like primers like myself underneath your makeup, I would not recommend this. Due to this, I'm going back to Shiseido sunscreen which doesn't leave my skin feeling so slippery like Biore, making my makeup slide right off my face within hours.

Foundations -Manic Panic - Dreamtone Flawless Foundation & Color Corrector - Virgin (White)
rated 5 of 5

Where has this product been my whole life??? This is a MUST HAVE for ladies who have problems finding the perfect match with liquid foundation or for anyone who loves their current foundation but needs to lighten it for winter time. If you're extremely fair, you may be able to use this as a foundation alone. I tested this with my CS, which is slightly too dark on me but matches my undertones well. Voila, with a small dab of the dreamtone white mixed in with the CS, I have my perfect match! Another huge plus is the formula does not alter the performance of your foundation. Only gripe; Wish it came in a squeeze bottle. This is something I will be buying forever.

Moisturizers -Peter Thomas Roth - Illuminating High Definition Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5

This was an impulse purchase. When I'm using powder mineral foundation, I need a decent silicone primer and thought this would be lovely with the added glow it gives. It does help serve as a good "glowy" primer underneath MMU. (I personally don't use any silicone primers under liquid foundation with my oily skin so I can't comment on it's perfomance on priming liquid foundation.) On it's own when your skin is *really* behaving, it will give you a very natural, "angelic" look. My complaint is the packaging/brush. Wish it was just a squeeze bottle. I prefer applying it with my fingertips vs the brush as you can end up putting on too much product with the brush application.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 4 of 5

This is an excellent foundation. The color range is great. I use 117 Marble and it's pretty much a perfect match. It glides on effortlessly, is medium coverage, and doesn't oxidize throughout the day. It also photographs beautifully. To the girls who can't get it to last, I use MoM as a primer before I apply it and can get it to last all day on me.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 3 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 12/12/2011 12:56:00 PM

I would have given this 5 lippies if they improved the foundation colors. The staying power is EXCELLENT. The best I have found since Almay Amazing Lasting foundation. This is definitely full coverage. My major complaint is I cannot find a shade that perfectly matches my skin. 1W1 Bone is the shade I bought (NC15 MUFE 117 Revlon CS Buff) and the tone is off. It looks slightly weird enough to drive me crazy and not use again.

Fragrances -Philosophy - Amazing Grace Eau De Parfum
rated 3 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 11/18/2011 9:06:00 PM

Normally, I don't wear florals. This one is ok. On me, it's 100% floral with a hint of powder to it. It's a good change up and polar opposite when I'm not in the mood for my usual warm, amber, go-to fragrances. It's not too strong, couldn't picture it offening most, has decent staying power and pretty versatile for year round wear. I just don't like it enough to purchase again. Overall, it's just an OK perfume. And over hyped.

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Apricots and Cream 3-in-1
rated 1 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 11/17/2011 3:22:00 PM

I agree with MaryEllen. This scent has an undertone that has a gaggy, bad scent to it. Initially, you first smell delicious apricots. Then that gross undersmell kicks in.... I could have got a bad batch... I don't know. What I do know is I will not be re-purchasing this!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 4 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 11/17/2011 3:13:00 PM

I was very skeptical about buying this. Normally, given that I wear long-wear makeup, I dismiss "gentle" cleansers altogether. But I needed a gentle cleanser for mornings or when my skin is sensitive from my peels and retinol. So I picked this one over the Cetaphil. I test drove this to see if it really just "dissolves" makeup as Philosophy claims. Well, after rubbing my dampened face with just my hands for 30sec with Purity, it took off my MAC Liquidlast eyeliner and Shiseido Lasting Lift mascara. That really impressed me. Although, I did go over my face twice just to make sure it was super clean. This is without mentioning the bottom line: It's very gentle, the ingredients contain many good-for-you oils in it, and does not break me out. This will be a staple in my shower.

Cleansers -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - Alpha Beta Cleanser
rated 3 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 11/17/2011 3:04:00 PM

I'm not overly impressed with this cleanser. In fact, I suspect this may have contributed to a recent break-out I experienced. And I rarely have break outs with the exception of sometimes during that TOM. The smell is very minty/tea tree. Thats a nice plus. Also, it really gets your face really clean. Another plus. But, despite that I love most MUAC products, I do not care for this cleanser all that much. Will not be re-purchasing as for deep cleansers, I'm going back to LUSH Coalface for my go-to deep cleanser.

Treatments -Neutrogena - Retinol Dermatologics Nx Concentrated Retinol Serum
rated 1 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 11/17/2011 2:59:00 PM

UPDATE: Warning! This stuff broke me out so bad. I am not acne prone at all and this stuff started to give me huge zits on the tops of my cheeks that took a week to clear up. I knew it was this because when I stopped using it, my face slowly but surely went back to normal. I can no longer use this unfortunately. I believe this serum has 1% retinol to the best of my knowledge. This is why I purchased it. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now. The first thing I noticed is the smoothness and texture of my skin. It's utterly soft. Sinks right in, not greasy or oily at all. I'm using this as preventative aging as I don't have any fine lines or wrinkles.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
rated 4 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 9/6/2011 10:11:00 PM

In comparing this to BE, I like BE's formula better. BE glides on more like silk and I like the overall finish better. However, BE has a somewhat limited color range for fair skins especially in comparison to EDM. EDM in both the Olive or Golden Fair is a PERFECT match for my skin. BE's Golden Fair runs dark and is TOO yellow I am finding for me personally. On the plus side, EDM lasts all day as well on me just like BE. And so far I haven't had any irritation or break outs from the ingredients. If I do I will update on that.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Feather Light Mineral Veil
rated 3 of 5
lusciouspreciousluv 9/6/2011 7:43:00 PM

*I'm reviewing the BE Illuminating Veil, the new name for the Feather Light veil.* I'm on a huge "glow from within" kick at the moment and couldn't resist trying this. For starters, in direct sunlight, this is very sparkly. Visible small sparkles all over your face. I only use this in the evening due to that. Any women who are matte girls all the way, do not purchase this. As a plus, indoors and at night it is really pretty. It's also very versatile. It could double as just a highlighter, can be mixed with your eyeshadow base if thats your thing, and even to dust along your chest shoulders for an illumating effect. As an everyday veil, it is really just too sparkly, but for evenings, I love it.
