Blush -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Blush #5
li1babe 9/11/2009 9:17:00 PM
This color was not for me. It made me look flat and did not give me the cheekbones I wanted. I could see how it would be a great product if you wanted to tone down your cheeks and even out your skintone. But that is not what I look for in a blush. The matte finish and flesh-tone just really made me look dull. It's not dark enough to use as a contour powder either. The powder is finely milled but not all that pigmented. Not to mention for the price, the compact shouldn't be so difficult to open!

Blush -Chanel - Orchid Rose [DISCONTINUED]
li1babe 9/11/2009 9:13:00 PM
My holy grail blush. No matter how many different colors and brands I try, I always go back to this one. It is a very natural rose on my light-medium skin (Stila 40watts, LM Sunny Beige). It looks like I'm blushing from within! It has slight iridescent sparkles that give you a glow. The texture is a creamy powder that applies with smoothness and ease. It goes with every look from natural to dramatic. I've hit the pan on this already 2 times.

Makeup Brushes -Stila - #24 Double-sided illuminating powder brush
li1babe 3/4/2007 1:31:00 AM
This brush deserves all the praise stated prior. It is great for laying a light layer of setting powder but also for blush contouring. The other end is beyond amazing for blending colors or simply applying shimmer powder. My only complaint is that I wish the smaller tip came with a cover so it can fit into my brush case without getting damaged. I would buy this brush again in a heart beat, but the quality is so great I probably will never have to.

Brows -Kevyn Aucoin - The Precision Brow Pencil
li1babe 7/5/2006 3:45:00 AM
Perfect color for blonds & those with black hair (like me). Long-lasting. Beautiful packaging. Easy twist up. Perfect sized brow comb (not too big or scratchy). Soft but not smudgy. HOLY GRAIL FINALLY! Photogenic brows made easy.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
li1babe 6/9/2006 11:38:00 PM
This mascara is all the great things other people have said. It's dark, lengthening, and thickening. And it requires very little effort to get a lush lash effect. Not to mention the packaging is beautiful. However, I would not buy it again because it completely took out the curl and lift in my lashes instantly. It's very wet & dries heavy. Mascara is no good without the curl, at least for me.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Glaze
li1babe 4/17/2006 2:20:00 AM
If you want shiny, manageable hair: try Frederic Fekkai Technician Glaze. Compared to Biosilk, Redken Glass, and Bumble & Bumble, this the the gold standard. I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair. I have never found anything that could tame the frizz without making it feel sticky or greasy too...until now. The product not only does what it claims but also smells fantastic. It comes in a simple but classically styled bottle and only a few drops will do. I have long hair and even then, I only need 2-3 drops. The bottle dispenses the perfect sized drops too. The Technician Shampoo & Conditioner are also just as wonderful. Moisture minus the weight. Silky, shiny beautiful hair is attainable!

Stick -Max Factor - PAN - STICK
li1babe 4/10/2006 10:47:00 PM
First and forecast, I absolutely LOVE this product. It is great for blemishes, under the eyes, and for dry skin. I use it on any red spots too. In addition, the ingredients do not cause acne or allergic reactions. Again, this is for dry skin. Oily skins for hate this. Also, I wouldn't not recommend this as an all over foundation as it is too heavy. If only the packaging was cuter....but for the price, I couldn't ask for more!

Lip Liners -Sue Devitt - Long Lasting Lipliner in St. Moritz
li1babe 4/5/2006 4:17:00 AM
Stays on excellent. Doesn't dry the lips. Great nude color that doesn't turn orange & dark. Way better than MAC spice or Chanel Nude. Creamy application. Comes with brush applicator on other end. What's not to love?

Loose Powders -Sue Devitt - Triple C-weed Loose Powder
li1babe 4/5/2006 4:15:00 AM
If you don't have dry skin, you probably won't notice how fine the powder really is. I have dried skin and this is by far, the most natural, sheer, and moist powder I've tried. I've tried Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura, T. Leclerc, Maybelline, Covergirl, Chanel, Dior, YSL, Estee Lauder, etc. None of them compare. I have it in tsunami and it's great for my light olive skintone. The only downside is the price and the packaging. The puff it comes with is entirely useless. It's barely big enough and fit on a few fingers. But the powder itself makes up for that.

Lipstick -Max Factor - Colour Perfection-Petal
li1babe 2/4/2006 5:41:00 AM
I would buy this color again, but I did go back and get Colour Perfection in another color. The texture is longlasting, creamy, shimmery and not too thick. Also, they have beautiful shimmery options that aren't too teeny-bopperish not to mention a HUGE color selection from pink to beige to brown and so forth. For my light skin complexion, this color was too intensely pink. It looked unflattering on my skintone. I did fall in love with #410 though. The perfect pink that plumps naturally and is pale but not too pale. P.S. The packaging isn't extremely horrible. It doesn't stand out too badly, but it definitely looks cheap.

Eye Makeup Remover -Max Factor - Remover for Long-Lasting Makeup
li1babe 2/4/2006 5:36:00 AM
Overall, I would definitely buy this again. Although the packaging is not cute & extremely basic, the price is not bad for something that performs just as good as a department store product. I've tried Lancome and it just did not take off the waterproof mascara easily. I tugged & pulled ... and for the price, it was not worth it. My second favorite is Clinique Take the Day Off. However, I think MF makes the best one because it doesn't fog my contacts, takes off waterproof mascara easily, and I don't have repeat and tug. Finally, a waterproof eye makeup remover that really works!

Eye Shadow -Max Factor - Lasting Color Eye Shadow in Wild White
li1babe 1/26/2006 2:31:00 AM
Best highlighter out there...agreed! It's a white shimmer minus the chalkiness. Also, the shimmer is subtle but beautiful- ethereal rather than teeny bopper. I love it. Reminds me of a toned down version of Stila moonlight which was way too white and intense for me. The Maxfactor shimmer e/s are of better quality than the mattes. I love it!

Eye Shadow -Max Factor - Cameo Appearance
li1babe 1/26/2006 2:29:00 AM
Just like Stila Chinois e/s but of course, of much lesser quality. It's not as sugary soft & finely milled, but I prefer this for my base eyeshadows as it clings nicely to oily lids. It's the perfect neutral base that tones down the pink. I feel like I get more bang out of my buck with Maxfactor "cameo" than Stila "chinois". It's officially my staple! If only it had an easy flip lid instead of the screw top.

Concealers -Estee Lauder - Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator
li1babe 10/8/2005 12:38:00 AM
I love this concealer/Illuminator, because it gives me natural coverage with a natural semi-dewy finish. It is great under the eyes and around the nose. The coverage is more opaque than YSL and the color selection if much larger. It comes in seven shades with one of the shades being a highlighter pink color. I usually break out around the nostrils but I use this everyday on that area and have not yet had any problems at all. If you require heavy coverage under the eye, this product is not going to do the trick. However, it will probably be great under a heavier coverage concealer for a more natural look. I also love using without any foundation for a very natural but glowy look. The reasoning I marked it down for packaging is because the brush can be unsanitary. I've had my YSL pencil brush go bad on me twice before I even finished the product. I have yet to have my EL one do the same, but I haven't had it long enough to say. However, the EL pen is MUCH larger than the YSL one. Although I do not know the actually product weights. For $24.50, it is cheaper than my YSL Touche Eclat. P.S. YSL #2 = EL #1 with EL #1 still a bit darker. Same undertone though, neutral.

Highlighters -Estee Lauder - Color Stones- Shimmering Face Powder
li1babe 10/8/2005 12:30:00 AM
A great limited edition highlighter/blush. The overall effect is a softly glowing pink. I love this better than Nars copacabana, Benefit Highbeam, and all of the Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks (I've tried beige, bronze, pink, rose). It also doesn't irritate my skin or make me break out. The lighter side can be used on the cheekbones and the darker shade as a shimmer blush -- or you can mix them for an intensely shimmerly blush. I also use it on the eyes. Overall, I just love this! I wish it came with an applicator though. :/
