Nails -Essie - Bangle Jangle #770
rated 5 of 5

Recently brought a whole new lot of Essie's polish. Bangle Jangle was one of them, absolutely love this color! To me this was a cool tone pastel purple, I only used 2 coats and that was good enough.

Celebrity perfume I find most of the time are chokingly unbearable. I've only ever like Paris Hilton(which is surprising, cause I dislike her in general) I always loved JA, back in the Friends day! I think the older she gets, the more alluring she seems. JA always struck me as beach babe, therefore I was expecting something cool fresh and perhaps very light. To me this smells like soap! Very light and very clean...which is perhaps perfect actually, because that's all I want to be smelling like, clean! I aboslutely love it, and it's the only scent since Paris Hilton a few years back, that I truly love!

Shampoo -Pantene - Smooth and Sleek shampoo
rated 1 of 5
kathrynb23 7/10/2012 7:27:00 PM

I've been using Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner since the age 6, I have tried other brands but Pantene has always been my staple and my preference. I had absolutely no problem with Pantene, and since their range has expand new lines has been marketed, I've always stuck to 'Smooth & Sleek'. For years I had no trouble with 'Smooth & Sleek' only till about 8 months - a year ago I really notice something has changed. One day I just noticed the roots my hair was just soo heavy, greasy and gross, and I shampoo and condition my hair everyday it shouldn't be. To cut the story short, through process of elimination, I found out it was definitely the shampoo! I don't understand why companies would go and change something that was working perfectly fine. I now don't use Pantene shampoo and anymore, I still use their conditioners, but I would not be alarmed if that starts to give me trouble.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Infallible- Liquid Diamond
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 7/8/2012 7:15:00 PM

I think staciarose22 really nailed it with the 'Silver Lilac' description, couldn't describe it any better! In all honesty I brought this purely due to the name 'Liquid Diamond', silly, but true fact :) I'm at a point in my life and career now where if it ain't dark and subtle, taupes or browns, it's pretty much is not accepted. I absolutely love 'Liquid Diamond', off course I only wear this on special occasion when I'm all 'dolled up'. It pretty much teamed very well with a lot colours I had. I usually use this on the inner corner, and maybe just as a light handed thin liner on the lower lashes. It really works well with any dark colours, and it really just adds a beautiful frosting to your eyes. I don't have a single silver shadow that does that. I really recommend, if you do come across this colour, to just purchase it.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 7/8/2012 6:58:00 PM

This review is NOT based on the quality of the Revlon Lip Butter, but rather for the colour Red Velvet. I'm in total love with this colour! I usually only swipe this on my lower lips, pressed my lips together, and then even it out with my fingers. It's got a dark reddish tint, yet the way I apply, it still looks sheer, so it's still my lips, just more vampy.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Envy
rated 3 of 5

One of my favourite green's of all time is Rock & Republic 'Envy'. I'm always in search of a green similar to that as a dupe. I can't really say much regarding the colour, to each their own I guess. For me this is a very vibrant bright ultra metallic green, either wet or dry its a beautiful colour. I can't use this colour at all. For me, gone are the days when I can wear anything and get away with it. It's too loud. I love this, I'll use it as a shadow liner. I just can't wear it like I do with all my other shadow.

Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Oil
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 6/25/2012 12:02:00 AM

Oils in general have been a staple in my daily functioning life! That's not to say I would die without them, but it doesn't mean I can never go to bed without it! I have being using Bio Oil for the last 2 years, every night before bed and every morning and night during winter. I hardly (except for baby lotion as hand cream) every use body lotion. Bio Oil was getting a bit expensive considering I'm going through a large bottle every 10 weeks, baby oil on the upside was only $3.50AUD and I go though a bottle once every 4-5 weeks, it was huge relief for my wallet. This oil not only hydrates, but it smells soo beautiful and subtle. it reminds me of my favourite discontinue baby cologne in 'Fresh Blossom' but just more subtle, a scent I'll never forget.

Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Lotion
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 6/24/2012 11:46:00 PM

I use this as a hand cream all the time! It hydrates my hands, the lotion dries/absorbs quickly. I always have this handy at my work desk, I always have a habit of applying hand cream at work, not because my hands are dry, it's just a habit(I guess it the refreshing feeling). I used to use Laura Mercier Creme Brulee hand cream and that was expensive considering how much I use because of how often I apply it.

One of my favourite lip product of all time!! I love the colour, just the perfect nude lips for me without making me look disgusting or dead. I will always repurchase this product, as long as they continue to manufacture it!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Couleur Infallible Permanent Kaki
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 6/24/2012 9:31:00 PM

I believe internationally this colour is known as 'Golden Sage' (Please correct me if I'm wrong!) I absolutely love this colour!!! Multidimensional metallic sage green! I love the L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow range, quality and price will kick Armani and Chanel's as$!(My opinion off course!) All these to me are best applied with finger for intense payoff, but brush is good too! I find it is more difficult to work a brush with this, it get's crumbly, messy and the intensity is not as great.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco Shine - Boy
rated 1 of 5
kathrynb23 6/24/2012 9:16:00 PM

I recently brought this from the Chanel duty free counter in Narita airport. I paid 2800 Yen, works out to be roughly $36AUD. I'm not sure how much they usually are, but I don't think I saved much money on purchasing it in duty free anyways. This was just a random purchase, during my whole trip Chanel 'Boy" was the only makeup product I brought, which is strange for a makeup junkie like myself and especially when I'm in a country like Japan(I honestly thought my luggage would be filled with makeup returning) LOL! I would not buy this again, it wasn't all that shiny, doesn't last all that long. The colour wasn't all that great. The worst thing about this was the shimmer, I knew it was shimmery which was fine, but I didn't know the application would be grainy, and I hate that the most in any lip product, just that grainy feeling. Extremely sheer, therefore lots of layer is required, I've used up quiet a chunk of it already! I brought this on departure, and I've been back for 10 days now and I'm literally half way through it.

Polishes -Essie - Da Bush
rated 1 of 5
kathrynb23 5/17/2012 7:04:00 PM

This was one of the colours that caught my eyes in the Ozsale Essie's event a few months ago. It was the most disappointing colour of all. I would describe this as a light, milky pastel 'sage' green. I would not describe this as mint green, cause a mint green would be more brighter and just more lively, this is a really dull green. Anyways, just like any other of Essie's pastel colours, needs multiple layers otherwise it can look streaky. I'm NC30 in complexion, this colour really makes my hands and feet look dirty all the time.

Brows -Smashbox - Brow tech
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 5/11/2012 6:50:00 PM

I brought this in a quad form in Brunette. I absolutely love this! I'm almost out of it, and most certainly will be repurchasing again and again, unless off course they decide to discontinue it. The brunette shade is absolute perfect for my black hair, and tan complexion. It always give me that 'Camilla Belle' sort of brows which I love because it bold yet youthful! No red hue, it is very pigmented. Last all day, I don't even use the wax with it.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 5/3/2012 10:33:00 PM

This review is NOT based on the quality of the Revlon Lip Butter, but rather for the colour Sugar Plum. I really love Pink Truffle from the Lip Butter line, but the time I got to enjoy that colour was limited since I lost it after about 3 weeks...Massive Sigh... I started to lose interest in my Lip Butters, I've haven't got to try all the ones I have yet, but one day I just plucked Sugar Plum out of the draw and just apply it on. I think I love this colour more then Pink Truffle! I honestly don't miss Pink Truffle since I tried Sugar Plum. This is a sheer plum colour, but on my lips its just a MLBB colour. I have pigmented lips, and this colour is perfect! I just found out that Revlon Lip Butters are finally available in Australia, but the the price tag of $21.95AUD, are they serious?

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Evening primrose oil
rated 5 of 5
kathrynb23 4/30/2012 7:51:00 PM

I've been taking these orally for the last few weeks. The brand that I brought (Cenovis) advertise it to be for Menstrual and Breast pain. I don't don't have any problem with my cycle at all. My breast on the other hand gets sharp aches from time to time. I assure everyone I've seen the doctors numerous times, numerous awkward and uncomfortable appointments, and it is confirmed, nothing to worry about, apparently it's normal. I purchase this randomly cause I saw the word Breast Pain on the bottle, no thoughts or research, no time wasted I was taking this orally 2-3 times a day. My breast pain didn't go away, but the burst of random sharp aches, reduced significantly. Before I would get sharp pain on a daily basis, oftenly and randomly. Now I notice it's just really random and less frequent that i actually don't remember when the last time it happened. There was a lot of changes to my skin though, that not only myself, but my everyone around me seemed to notice. I get acne every now and then, but not as often anymore, my face has been oily in the recent months for some unapparent reason. Anyway the acne would take forever to heal, but I notice since taking EPO, my oily face has reduce quiet a lot and the acne or any skin blemishes/cut and bruises heals a lot quicker. I later did some research on EPO, only after about 2 months of taking it did I realise it was good for skin, menstrual cycle and hormones. Some websites did mention reduction in breast pain, but it wasn't mention as often as skin and menstrual. After doing the research, I was pleasantly surprise and happy that, my skin seems good, and my breast doesn't hurt as bad. One side effect that was mention and I did see with myself is GAS LOL(Please don't laugh :) ). After every time I take EPO, about 20 minutes after I'm burping like crazy, even if I haven't ate or drank anything beside water with the EPO. My partner says better burping then being the other sort of gas. the burping isn't permanent, and its only after I consume the EPO, and its only happens for about 30 minutes.
