HG blush! I have been on the search for the perfect pink blush for the past 10 years or so, but most of them look muddy on me. I need only 2 swipes to get the perfect ethereal look on my fair neutral skin. It hasnt caused any breakouts on my sensitive skin either. The only 1 of 2 blushes I've ever hit pan (and I own more than 20), and I've already bought a back up!
Bare Study is a neutral shimmery champagne shade. I love using it as an e/s primer and brow bone highlighter. I have very oily lids and e/s crease/fade on me by midday. This helps my e/s and e/l stay put all day.
I have very oily lids and most e/s crease on me by midday. With Painterly as a base, my e/s last me all day! Great stuff. It comes in a pretty big pot so I expect it'll dry out before I even finish it.
Loose Powders -Giorgio Armani - micro fil loose powder

I really wanted to like this product. It really is one of the more finely grained powders out there, and I love the glowy look I get from it. I bought this in both #0 and #1 for my LSF #4 skin. #0 is a translucent shade that looks white in the tub and is a good match, while #1 is a beigey shade that oxidised rather badly on me, making my face look muddy, so it may not suit those with FFF and lighter skin tones. There is something about this powder that just doesn't agree with my skin because a few hours into wearing the powder ( over my usual sunscreen and nothing else), I developed 2 zits on one side of my face, and I rarely ever get zits. I must be reacting to something in it. Too bad. Update: I've tried it several times since after my skin cleared up, and it's still causing me to break out. Those with sensitive skin, beware.
This is fast becoming my HG powder foundation! The coverage is very sheer when used dry (have not tried using it wet). The powder so finely milled that I dont feel like i'm wearing any foundation at all. It does not dry out my skin, as the double perfection compact fdn did, so is more suitable for those with less oily (i have normal/combination) skin. The SPF25 PA +++ is also a huge plus! I wear this in 10 Beige Clair; the colour selection is lighter but yellower compared to the 10 Lumiere in DPCP, so those with pink undertones may not find a good match. Fyi, the refills fit into the DPCP case, so those who are unsure if they will stick with this can just buy the refill without investing in the case.
Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her

I had high hopes for this after reading all the positive reviews here. The smell, though synthetic, was bearable when it was first sprayed on me... However, it must be something with my body chemistry or the hot and humid Singapore weather because after an hour or so... i smelled like i'd doused myself in insecticide.... thankfully it turns milky again after another couple of hours. Am glad I test drived this first! SJP's Lovely while similar, is slightly lighter, and turns milky on me after a while, skipping the insecticide part. So for those of u who have the same problem with NR, u might want to try Lovely instead.
I use this as a highlighter instead of blush, and like it a lot! It's not harsh white, and blends in nicely with my LSF #3 skintone. As a blush it sucks as I can hardly get it to show on me. I use it on my cheekbones as a highlighter on top of other blushes.
This shows up as a very nice pop of pink on my LSF #3 complexion, but i have to be careful to use a light hand. It's part of the Spring 05 LE collection, and is imho a more true pink than it's Pink 30 cousin. Am glad I got it!
I love Shu blushes as they last a whole day on me and are finely milled and are pigmented. This is a very pretty cool- toned pink with subtle lavender sparkles. It's my current fav blush as it really perks me up.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Aquaresistant

This didn't work for me. It gave me nice long lashes and kept the curl, BUT smudged on me by lunchtime. Am tossing it into the trash.
Mascara -Shu Uemura - Fiber Xtension [DISCONTINUED]

The effects of this mascara are nothing to shout about. Worst of all, the little fibres FLAKE and end up all around my eyes. It also smudges after only 4 hours of wear. UPDATE: i gave it another few tries. Strangely it doesnt smudge on me anymore so i think it was the sunscreen i was using ard my eyes that made my eye area oilier than usual. It lengthens a bit, and thickens a bit. I like that the Very Black is a true black.
Crème -Bobbi Brown - Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation

I dont like this foundation. It oxidizes very badly on me, and I end up with a horrible orange face. It doesn't stay put either, and by mid-day I'll end up with patches of my face without foundation, and patches with it. Gross.
why oh why did they have to discountinue this?!! i discovered it while in sephora in paris this year. yes i know it's a bit late to jump on the bandwagon, but we dont get SM in singapore where i live. the colour O0 was a perfect match for me. the coverage is sheer and it doesnt look like i'm wearing any foundation at all. i only realized how good it looks when i looked at the pics i took in paris later on. now i'll have to continue my search for the HG foundation... :'(
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Glam Shine Sorbet in Cherry Sorbet
julieyeo 9/21/2005 2:49:00 AM
This is a bright raspberry pink. The colour might not suit all complexions, but I personally like it as it brightens up my face. It's not too sticky so doesnt wear that well. But it's so cheap I dont mind. :)
This masacara really make my lashes look very dolly-long! Must be those fibres inside. It doesnt really smudge much, but the little it does still irritates me a bit. Also some fibres tend to fall into my eyes, causing them to tear. There is a rose scent in it, which thankfully does not irritate my eyes.
