This is a really nice and natural looking foundation that give a very fresh and clean looking complexion. I was surprised at the consistency of this foundation, I expected it to be a much thinner formula. I still find the best way to apply this is with your finger tips, which is how the website suggest you apply it. The foundation has a matte finish despite the fact it claims to be a dewy. I find this foundation to be medium to full coverage however it really does give a natural look. I feel It makes my skin look very youthful. Compared to the HD formula it is much more matte and I find there is a better color selection for my skin coloring
Palettes -Too Faced - The Return of Sexy Eye Shadow Palette

After reading so many reviews of this palette stating that it was much to shimmery, I was reluctant to buy, and considering this palette could not be found in Aus I could really only go off online reviews and swatches. However the purples in this palette kept calling my name, so I caved in and bought it. Contrary to many of the reviews i have read I personally do not find this palette to be completely full of shimmer shadows. Yes it is shimmery but there are also a few metallic finishes which personally I find more wearable then full on shimmer. I love the texture of these shadows, they are so creamy that they almost look wet in the pan. One of the main things I love about this palette is that the shadows can be used wet or dry, depending on which you chose will determined the overall look of how these shadows look on your eyelids. I personally love the texture of this palette much more then I like urban decays shimmer shadows. I don't find these shadows at all muddy like urban decays. The only downfall I can find is the lack of matte eyeshdows! The only way of getting a professional looking eye is to mix these shadows with some matte from other palettes or brands. Substituting matte colors is not a problem for me, let's face it we all have a million other eyeshadow laying around. Of course this palette is not an everyday palette, it is not safe for work and I personally would not wear this during the day. In my opinion this is a clubbing or night out palette. So when thinking of buying this palette I think you really need to to decide if it fits all your purposes. Please don't buy this thinking you will be able to wear it everyday or be able to make a complete look with it. You will be disappointed if you purchase it for those reasons, but if you are looking for a glam palette that will take you through the night then look no further, you will not be disappointed . The palette also comes with a mini primer (not my favorite) and an waterproof eyeliner. The eyeliner worked wonderfully on the lash line but I did not find that it stayed on my wet line very well.
I was so excited when i ordered this foundation i ordered it in no 4 which is meant to be for pale skin with pink yellow undertones. What i received was nothing what I was expecting, for foundation that is meant to capture to pink undertones this foundation was alarmingly yellow toned. Clearly the colors are very light because this color just washes me out and makes me look like a yellow toned ghost. The foundation itself is very thick and is definitely not meant for anyone with patches of dry skin on their face. It shows up dryness to no end especially around the nose. It is not a matte finish foundation, even after powdering my face ends up looking shiny. The only way i have been able to use this is by mixing it with other foundations and even then I do not like the finish it gives. I would not recommend this foundation, and I wont be buying it ever again.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Parlux - Jessica Simpson Fancy

I honestly love this scent however I can't get it to stay on my body long at all. I have never had this problem with any other fragrance but honestly this doesn't last long then 15 minutes on me. I am far from the best at describing scents but to me it smells strongly of vanilla. It reminds me of a warm custard tart. It is very unoffensive and something you could use everyday. If this had long lasting power it would have gotten full marks from me. Oh and I forgot to mention that the bottle is absolutely beautiful.
Too faced sweet indulgence palette is a multifunction palette that includes 16 eyeshadow, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter, 2 bronzers, 1 full sized primer and a brush. The cost of this product was close to $70 Australian dollars, which when summed up is a pretty good bargan that was hard for me to resist. When the product first arrived and unpackaged what i had in front of me was a large pink tin that looked somewhat like a chocolate tin, needless to say it looks very pretty on the outside. When you open the tin you re greeted with 16 eyeshadows layed out on a removable layer of very thick and hard cardboard. When you pull out the eyeshadows you find another layer that holds your blush and highlighter, primer and brush. Now onto the products themselves. After swatching all the shadows I was dissapointed to see that they were not as highly pigmented as I was expecting them to be. All of the eyeshadows themselves are very soft and crumbly. Once applied to the eye I find that they are even less pigmented then they were in the swatch. The shadows are very crumbly so they do leave a large amount of fall out if you do not tap them off. The palette contains a huge array of different colors, from pinks and coppers, to blues and greens and even some bronze. One major problem I have with this palette is the lack of matte shadows, out of 16 shadows there are only 2 mattes and they are both very basic colors, an off white matte and brown with ashy undertones. The rest of the shades are glitter and shimmer packed. Basically you will never be about to create a complete eyeshadow look with this palette, well not a very professional looking eyeshadow look in my opinion. I wanted this palette predominately for the eyeshadow and I feel very disappointed with the quality and finish of the majority of them. Moving on to the blush, we have one bubblegum pink blush and one peach blush. Both I feel have some shimmer to them, they are both smooth and apply and blend nicely. The bronzers included in this palette and both very pretty and of high quality. Sun bunny light is light enough to be used as a blush and bronzer in one, it contains little gold shimmers in it, It reminds me of NARS laguna bronzer definitely in the same colour family. The exclusive bronzer included is much to dark for my skin tone but it is very smooth and does blend nicely, it is a completely matte bronzer. The highlighter included in this palette is too faced candlelight, it is defiantly not my cup of tea as it really does show up any enlarged pores due to the glitter in the product. All in all if you are a person who does not own a lot of too faced products like myself this palette is a great way to try alot of them out for a relatively cheap price. Everybody has there own likes and dislikes so I am not out to bash this product, what i dislike might be something that someone else loves
I i had to recommend just one nude palette out of all the neutral palettes that are out at the moment this would be the only one I would suggest. It has everything you need for an eye look. Matte colors and shimmers all packed into a cute little case. love it!
I have been trying hopelessly to find a bronzer that I could use as a matte contour and finally after many expensive purchases I have found it. I have very pale skin with cool undertones and the majority of bronzers turn my skin into a orange muddy mess. The grey cast of lauguna bronzer is perfect for pale gals with cool undertones. Blends beautifully with no muddy streaks. Only problem I have is the price, it's very pricey, also the packaging is not at all practical.
When this palette came out I was very reluctant to buy it, due to the fact that my original naked palette has sat in my collection practically unused. The original naked palette is just too warm for my cool undertones. It always made my eyes look tired and I found that the colors did not blend well, normally making a muddy mess. Step forward the Naked 2 palette, my first impression of naked 2 was that it was definitely geared towards the cooler side. While it is true that you could not exactly call all of these colors cool toned, compared to the original palette they are a lot cooler. When I swatched the shadows I was underwhelmed, I understand that these shadows have the new formula however I don't think that formula is very refined yet. These shadows are not as pigmented or smooth as the shadows in naked one. I found that some of these shadows looked muddy particularly suspect. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I have never been overly impressed with urban decay's shadows and formula so unless they bring out a completely matte palette (which I really hope they do) I wont be buying any more of their shadows. edit: I have changed my score on this product due to the fact the more I use it the more I dislike it. I just really do not enjoy the texture of urban decay eyeshadow..I am sad that now I have 2 naked palettes that I wont use. Lesson learned, I wont buy urban decay shadows again.
Lip Liners -NYX - Retractable Lip Liner (all shades)
jaylyn85 9/3/2012 11:38:00 PM
When I first put this on my lips i was amazed at how smooth and creamy it was however after they set on the lips they seem to change consistency they dry my lips out to no end. It is really uncomfortable on my lips and i would not purchase again
I wanted to love this lipstick considering the $23 price tag but I couldn't get it to apply smoothly to my lips, no matter what I do this lipstick applies streaky. The color is barely there, I usually try and mix this with another nude to try and get some use out of it but I wouldn't buy again. Edit. After playing around with this a little i have found that using a liner really helps the consistency of this product
Very pretty nude pink, very opaque, but a little drying. I find satin and matte formula lipsticks to be a little uncomfortable on my lips. This color has no brown in it at all which is great for cool toned girls. A very close dupe for this is NYX black label in dusty rose.
I ordered this online because it's not out in Australia yet, I was very surprised that the colour was a perfect match. Probably the closest match I have ever found in drug store. For reference I am normally an NW20 in mac and my colour in this foundation in Natural beige. This foundation is definitely not as full coverage as the liquid colorstay formulation. I didn't wear this for 24 hours, I don't know who actually would but it did stay on all day with no touch ups needed. If i had to choose between normal revlon colourstay and the whipped foundation then my heart still belongs to the liquid foundation. It is not a bad foundation I just prefer fuller coverage. I found the best way to apply this was with the beauty blender.
I really don't like this product so basically I never use it. I've tied it all over my face and ended up looking like a grease ball. I've tried it as a highlighter but never enjoyed the finish it gave me. I am so glad I got this when it was cheap because if I had paid the stupid amount they charge for it now I would have been very annoyed. Honestly I don't understand how a company who once marketed themselves as affordable expects it's customers to want to pay high end prices. I know I wont purchase another product from them.
I was not expecting much when I brought this, but I needed something then and there so I thought why not. I am normally a makeup snob, i usually prefer high end, but I LOVE this little beauty. It smooth, it's creamy and it's great to shove into your handbag. I find it blends the best with the beauty blender. I've even stopped using my Mac studio sculpt. I don't understand review that said it has shimmer, mine has no trace of shimmer anywhere. Will repurchase!!
Eye Shadow -Jordana - Color Effects Eyeshadow Powder in #10 Smoky Jade
jaylyn85 7/14/2012 9:32:00 AM
I'm so impressed with Jordana's powder products that I own just about every single blush and now I'm working on their eyeshadow. This duo has a dead on dupe for mac's Patina. The only difference between that the color in this duo is more pigmented. The color and texture are identical. I never thought I would find a dupe for patina, If you don't own Patina but want it I would absolutely buy this smokey jade duo for 3 bucks over MAC because on the lid you can't tell the difference. I've compared to two side by side and I can honestly say that I like the pigmentation of smokey jade better.
