Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Shattered eyeshadow
rated 1 of 5

I really wanted to love this blue/green shadow with gold flecks of shimmer in it, but I have to say, I don't even like it. Urban Decay has some of the most buttery wonderful eyeshadows with gorgeous pigment, but I found this to be an exception. I had a very hard time picking up any color with my brush and even my finger. When I finally did get it to apply to my lids, it looked cheap. It didn't look smooth and gorgeous and luxurious, it looked like tacky, cheap, 4 year old play dress up makeup.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Matte shadow
rated 5 of 5
greeneyedape 7/30/2011 6:59:00 PM

This is one of my most used shadows. I had this in the single before getting the Naked palette, because my mom gave it to me in my Christmas stocking a year ago. At first I didn't think it was going to work for me-- I'm very pale, cool toned olive and the shadow looked to lean warm. I was wrong! Every single time I don't do a fun bright shadow look, or I'm not trying out a new shadow...I'm probably wearing this shade on my lids. It makes my green eyes look very naturally enhanced and the texture of this shadow is tdf!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Ransom
rated 4 of 5
greeneyedape 7/30/2011 6:55:00 PM

This is my HG purple eyeshadow. Amazing texture on the deluxe singles and Ransom is no exception. The combination of deep purple color with a slight blue sheen to it does amazing things for my green eyes. This IS my favorite purple shade, but I do have to say the reason I give this shadow a 4 and not a 5 is that I do notice some fall out and like another reviewer mentioned it is hard to use on the undereye without looking bruised.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette

I've had this palette for a couple months now and I've used at least one shadow from it every day (usually more :P). I like every shade, and the quality and pigmentation is awesome like most of UD's shadows. My standout favorites would have to be sidecar and toasted :) I think everyone should have this palette! Also, I'm a cool-toned pale olive and it works for me even though I've heard cool tones should stay away.

Eye Shadow -L.A. Colors - 5 Color Metallic Eyeshadow in Tease
rated 5 of 5

Wow! I happened to be in a local dollar store and somehow -instinctively- found the makeup aisle. When I saw these shadows I knew I was going to buy them for the bright colors and the fact that they were only a dollar! I wasn't expecting a lot from them; I usually use Urban Decay and WnW shadows. The packaging is admittedly super crappy, and I don't think I'd bother depoting them because they are soft. These have a really nice texture, they're very smooth, soft, and you don't have to work to pick up a lot of color with your finger or brush. This set contains 5 shimmery shades- a yellow, goldfishy orange, hot pink, bright blue and a pale muted green. And incredibly, these last better on my lids when over primer than WnW shadows. Full workday staying power, fun bright colors, nice pigmentation and texture... I'm sold :)

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Rubenesque
rated 5 of 5

I love this product and wear it almost every time I wear shadows. It makes a fantastic base for powder shadows to adhere to. Even if I wear it alone, the goldeny peach color makes my green eyes absolutely pop :) Totally worth the price.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre
rated 5 of 5
greeneyedape 7/4/2011 12:29:00 AM

I have loved every SL gloss I've tried! I have Pink Pop, Coral Reef, Firecracker, Lilac Pastelle, and this one (Nude Luster). I can actually rock a nude lip with this gloss!!!! It is absolutely perfect to top a nude gloss, looks very creamy and milky with an opacity that is lovely and natural and gorgeous. This probably isn't the most helpful review in terms of color description because I'm awful at that, but I will say I'd recommend this to everyone, every skin tone. It's a lovely gloss, not too sticky and lasting time is average for a Revlon gloss (about 4 hours without eating).

Bronzers -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder in 020 Suntan Matte
rated 4 of 5
greeneyedape 7/4/2011 12:25:00 AM

I like this product quite a bit. I'm a cool toned PPP (NW 10-15) and I use this as an allover powder when I want a bit of a sunkissed glow. It doesn't show up dark or very pigmented, but it works to give me a fresh, healthy, summery glow. The packaging is very sturdy, albeit pretty bulky. I think these might be discontinued though, as I bought this for 75% at CVS a month or so ago. The amount of product you get for the price isn't bad, especially if you can catch it on clearance ;)

Liquid -Revlon - Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup
rated 3 of 5
greeneyedape 7/4/2011 12:22:00 AM

I bought this on a whim in Walmart... as I'm always looking for my HG foundation. This is not it. It's not 'bad' but it doesn't work for my needs. I like the packaging, the pump works very smoothly and it's nice to look at. I do feel as though a single pump is almost too much for the entire face. It feels nice to the touch, very, very creamy and blendable. The shade selection is alright, though I'm a cool toned PPP (NW10-15) and the lightest shade fresh ivory is slightly too pink for me. It's not super noticeable though, as I set with powder, blush and bronzer. I have acne prone combo skin and I found that this clung to my dry bits like none other and made them look awful! I found that surprising, given that it's an age defying makeup which are usually more hydrating. Overall, I don't think the coverage was quite enough to cover acne scarring...light-medium coverage IMO. However, my mother who is almost 60 and absolutely hates face makeup seemed to like this. She has fairly smooth skin with only a couple wrinkles and it doesn't seem to sink into them. Important to note, she has no age spots and nothing to really 'cover'...just evening out. She does like the feel of it on her face though and doesn't think it's too heavy. Not what I'm looking for, but not bad. Just be careful if you're a dry-skinned lady!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
rated 1 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:52:00 PM

I hate when I don't like something everyone else does :( In my town, Milani is *kind of* hard to find. I drove every drugstore in a reasonable distance looking for the baked blushes in Coralina and Red Vino, but they were nowhere to be found. The only shades I could find were Dolce Pink, Rose D'oro, and Luminoso. Rose D'oro had been tampered with and opened at one store, so I took the opportunity to swatch it...it looked surprisingly orange. Luminoso just didn't look like my thing, so I went with Dolce Pink. In the pan, like all the baked blushes, it is gorgeous. I'm a sucker for the look of baked products. Unfortunately, the ONLY thing that showed up on my face was not the pretty pink shade...but the glitter. I've tried several times, hoping that it's sort of like the eyeshadows, with their top layer of sparkle but it's not. This is so glittery--not shimmery, just glitter. It even feels grainy and rough to me. I'm so sad now :(

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick--Pink Velvet
rated 5 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:42:00 PM

Another reviewer really used the perfect word to describe this--elegant. Whenever I want to look chic, pulled together, classic and a bit 50's retro, this is the pink I reach for. It's a very pigmented lippie, even on my pigmented lips and I don't find it drying at all. It's not advertised as a matte, though I detect very little to no shimmer in this lippie.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute
rated 5 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:39:00 PM

This is one of my top five favorite lip products ever. Whenever I wear this shade, I feel sexy! It's a bit different than most lipcolors you find in a drugstore and it's noticeable, but it still looks totally wearable and not OTT at all. I'm a pale, cool toned girl with dark brown hair and this shade does wonders for me. I'm one of those people who feels weird, freakish even, without eyeliner. For those days when I'm in a rush and have no time to do my eye makeup, I always reach for this shade. It is absolutely gorgeous :)

Lipstick -Revlon - va va violet
rated 4 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:33:00 PM

Wow, my impressions of this lippie are nothing like the negative reviews or the photos. On me, and I have quite pigmented lips, this is very opaque, dark and vampy. It glides on very smoothly and has really great application for such a dark shade. I just picked it up a few days ago and it's summer so I've yet to leave the house wearing it, but maybe this fall! It's not my usual style, but I've been told I can pull off dark lips...now just to work up the courage :P

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick - In the Red
rated 5 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:24:00 PM

I don't know how or why, but of my many Revlon lippies, SL and Mattes, this lippie seems to have the best formula. It's very matte, but I don't find it drying- at all. Crazy! Also, I was terrified of wearing red lips in public before buying this lippie. It pulls very brick on me and looks great with dark hair. I think it also make my teeth look whiter! :)

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick in Sky Pink
rated 3 of 5
greeneyedape 6/11/2011 8:20:00 PM

I like Revlon lippies a lot, so when I thought I'd like to try a matte pink shade, Revlon was the first place I turned. I wanted something definitely pink looking on my fairly pigmented lips, but not too unnatural. I passed over Stormy Pink because it looked too loud and Pink Pout because it looked a little too lilac. Sky pink is a very pretty shade, but I do have a few gripes. One: I think this shade is more drying than the other matte Revlon shades. Combined with the light color, all the cracks in my lips are quickly visible. Two: The lasting power on this one isn't the best, I would not say that it's "bad" but if I eat anything it is gone straight away. My other Revlon lippies stick around much longer. Three: On pigmented lips, this will take some working with. It requires building the color up. Overall, I like the shade and when I can make it work, it's quite nice. I've found that it only works well for me with a pink gloss over it, which wasn't quite the look I wanted, but it IS nice.
