Shampoo -DermOrganic - Sulfate-Free Conditioning Shampoo

My wavy/curly color-treated hair is dry, and my scalp is dry and sensitive. This creamy shampoo lathers well and contains mild cleansers - the label says they're facial cleansers. I wash my hair twice a week, and the shampoo doesn't irritate my scalp or dry out my hair. My hair has shine and fullness. (I let it air dry.) The only negative is the strong fragrance. I don't like it, but it doesn't seem to be causing me any problems.

This clear shampoo has gentler cleansers than do most other shampoos. It effectively washed my hair and scalp with one lathering. However, I found it be to very drying to my hair and scalp, causing itching, especially when used with the matching conditioner. It's OK if I use a very moisturizing conditioner, like Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner, and leave the conditioner on two or three minutes. I now use it as clarifying shampoo every now and again.

Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - European Secrets - Rock Hard Hardener and Basecoat

This base coat did add strength to my thin and weak nails, but it takes a long time to dry. I would not use this base coat directly on dry nails because the first ingredient is denatured alcohol, which will dry out nails even more. The base coat also contains drying isopropyl alcohol farther down the ingredient list.

Conditioner -Earth Science - Fragrance Free Conditioner

This conditioner doesn't have enough conditioning for my dry hair and scalp if I use with with the matching shampoo. However, it works fine with a moisturizing shampoo and adds needed body.

BB Cream -Kiehls - Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream

I received a sample of this cream. It has a lot of pigment, so it's more like a foundation. The fourth ingredient is denatured alcohol. If I had known this, I never would have requested the sample. My skin is dry and sensitive,so denatured alcohol is an ingredient I don't want in products I put on my face (or body). Also, the cream made my skin slightly itchy. Unfortunately, the Kiehl's website doesn't list all the ingredients of their products, just those that they want to highlight.

This pale green cream spreads easily and is hydrating. I use it as a daytime face cream on my dry and sensitive skin. It's packaged in a jar. Tube packaging would be so much more sanitary, as well as keeping antioxidants stable.

This creamy white moisturizing cream is hydrating and spreads easily. It feels good on my skin, but I can't see that it reduces wrinkles.

This toner contains drying denatured alcohol as the second ingredient. This makes it too irritating for my dry to very dry and sensitive skin.

This hand lotion is moisturizing for for my dry hands and cuticles. I use it throughout the day, taking care to massage it into my cuticles.

My skin is dry to very dry and sensitive. This rich eye cream does a great job of moisturizing the skin around my eyes without any irritation. I use it twice a day. Sometimes I use it as a day and night cream. On the downside, it's very thick, and I had to stir it around with a cosmetic spatula to make it easier to apply. The cream comes in a heavy, overly large, glass jar. It would be more sanitary if it came in a lightweight tube instead. I don't plan to repurchase.

Arosa (90) is a pale pink cream. It dries relatively quickly. The polish streaks and doesn't provide full coverage, even with two coats.

This cleanser has a strong fragrance. The consistency of the cleanser is not milky, but rather a combination of gel and lotion. The cleanser takes a long time to rinse off. I wanted to like this cleanser because it's hypoallergenic and paraben-free, but it's not for me.

I tried this polish in Sandy Nude, a light opaque shade. Two coats gave excellent coverage. On the downside, the polish is thick and took a very, very long time to dry. The regular Revlon nail polish works well on my nails.

Nail Magic is a formaldehyde nail strengthener. I've tried several nail strengtheners, but Nail Magic is the only one that's worked to make my thin, weak nails stronger. It did make some of my nails burn a little when I put it on right after I removed my acrylics, so took it off and used a moisturizing base coat (Mavala Barrier Base). After my nails recovered (two weeks) I was able to use Nail Magic. I first clean my nails with 2 parts isopropyl alcohol mixed with 1 part distilled water. I apply two coats of Nail Magic, two or three coats of OPI Samoan Sand nail polish, and one coat of Nail Magic as a top coat. I apply another coat of Nail Magic the next day, and again after three days. Nail Magic dries quickly and as a top coat, it adds long-lasting shine and makes my nails feel harder. I recently purchased a new bottle of Nail Magic and noticed that the ingredient list had changed. I hope the new formula is as effective as the old formula.
