My hair is thick, coarse, curly and this product literally cuts my flat ironing time in half. Although a bit poofy. And my hair feels stronger and conditioned. After using it for about a month it does build up and I need to clarify, which I not something I usually need to do. I doubt I'll repurchase because I have a low poo routine, but it's a pretty good product.

Palettes -Laura Mercier - Artist's Palette For Eyes

I just received this palette as a gift and already know it's going to be a longtime favorite. These are my first LM shadows and I'm very impressed. It looks similar to the Naked palettes, but stands out on application. It has color payoff, I love the texture of the mattes and the shimmers are age appropriate.

Blush -NARS - Taj Mahal

This blush is one of my new staples. I'm an nc42 and when it arrived in the mail I immediately put it on and it was like Halloween bright orange and sparkly. This is blush is very easy to overdo. Applying with a fan brush to the apple of the cheeks I now understand what the fuss is about. It gives me a beautiful sunset glow. I'm not really a blush person but I can't stop looking in the mirror with this on, it creates such a gorgeous effect. It's also great paired with luster or mac gingerly.

I was really looking forward to loving this blush with all the great reviews, but sadly I don't. This will be my first return ever of a makeup product. The color is nice but not a stand out from the other peach blushes I own. But it's going back because it's so matte my usually oily skin feels dry and tight likes its suffocating under this blush.

I'm growing out color damaged hair and can't give up the flat ironing. I use on damp hair, air dry, then flat iron. My hair looks so much healthier and has bounce. I'm out of my ponytail rut and I think I'll be able to go longer between trims. But what really impresses me is my second day hair looks just as good. UPDATE: I think your hair must be really damaged for this to work it's magic. I do credit this with helping me to grow out the damage over a few months avoiding a big cut. I will continue to use this occasionally for prevention but it's overkill unless your hair really needs help.

This is such a fun color but not for everyday. I usually pair it with MAC's Shadowy Lady. The color can be intense or sheer depending on the brush used. I've also lightly dusted this as a blush and it shows pink/lavender on my cheeks.

My CHI finally went and I was in the market for a new iron. I wasn't even considering this until a fellow MAUer posted a code that brought the price down to $85 on Folica. I have coarse curly "ethnic" hair. This gets my hair straight in less time than the CHI, leaves my hair with body, and I like that it has temperature control. It's a step above the CHI but I don't think I'd be so impressed had I paid full price.

I usually don't go for taupe but this is a very nice color and applies true to shade. It dries surprisingly fast. One coat almost does it, two is perfect. I love the rubber top on Nars bottles, helps me with study application.

I was passing the counter and stopped and decided to give this a swatch. I was already wearing WnW nocturnal. I did one hand to compare and the SA was more impressed with my WnW hand.The colors were very close, but she said the Lippmann usually doesn't look that green out of the bottle and that it probably only looked so good because it was applied over another green. This is the first time a SA didn't try to sell me something, so I didn't buy.

I flat iron my hair about at least once a week and dye about every 6 weeks. I've been using this product for a few months and the condition of my hair has greatly improved considering the abuse it takes. It has minimized my split ends so I don't need to trim as often and my hair feels stronger.

I got a free full size for Earth Day. I really wanted to like this. It removes my makeup and and doesn't dry out my combination skin. But after about a week I started getting acne, which was worse then I ever had as a teen. This is the only new product I've been using....at least I didn't pay $18.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - les true brunettes

I used this in UL61 Ultra Light Ash Brown. My natural color is dark brown, previously dyed with a light brown color, although it took darker and was more medium brown. This left my roots orange but the rest of my hair blends to a nice color. It's nowhere near an ash brown, more golden, but it is as light as the box. This is actually the lightest my hair has ever been. But this product left my hair a dry frizzy mess. I had to load it up with conditioner just to get a comb through it and trim my ends. I'm ok with the color but this is the worst condition my hair has ever been left in from coloring. Update: After a week of washes and lots of conditioning, my hair is revived, my roots are normal and I'm loving the color. But I still wouldn't take a chance damaging my hair using this again.

I have very thick tightly curled hair and this product does what it says, detangle. I use it to comb my hair out before flat ironing or blow drying. I'm surprised about the low reviews, this produce just isn't for everyone.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Superior Preference Hair Colour

I used this in 6bb light beige brown. My hair is naturally a dark brown, with red undertones. I've been coloring it at home different shades of brown for a few years. This is my first time using Preference. My starting shade was a medium brown fading brassy. My already colored hair turned out darker than the color on the box and my roots were lighter. After a few washings the color evened out and was closer to color on the box. It's a very neutral brown, my red undertones are gone. I'm pleased with the results. I really just wanted to get rid of the red. I'm glad I read the reviews on here first. I cracked a window and turned the fan on before I started. And the fumes were still overpowering at first.

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice 'n Easy Hair Color

My hair is naturally dark brown/auburn and I've been dying it medium brown (I always buy a shade of light brown expecting it to take darker) for about a year. I used this in light neutral brown. It burned my scalp and made me tear for the first few minutes then the fumes wore off and became tolerable. The color came out darker then I expected, but did a good job blending my roots and correcting the varying shades of brassy browns in my hair. But it's not even close to the color on the box. For that reason I won't repurchase this. I do like the color but it's very close to my natural color and not what I wanted, although I'm sure it will fade some. But since it's nothing like the box, it could have easily turned out bad. Update: This color faded, looked dull, and was gone in about two weeks. My color looked horrible. I've never had this happen with any other brand. I usually go 6 weeks between colorings. This left me counting the days trying to hold out for 4 weeks.
