Lip Gloss -New York Color - Up to 8 HR City Proof (ALL)

Blah. I have this in the shade " #461 Coffee Break". It's a bronze copper color, pretty much like a penny. I got this when it was like 40% off at Rite-Aid, plus I had a coupon. I can't remember how much it came out to be, but it was probably less than $2. The original price I think is over $3. The color is okay, (it sort of reminds me of "Cocoalicious" by Victoria's Secret). I really don't care for this and I know that I won't get this again. It looks alright on my lips, but the smell is overwhelmingly metallic. It's hard to focus on the shade because the odor of it, and the formula is not all that great either. It's not super sticky, but I can feel the gloss on my lips, and I love those creamy kind of glosses that I can't really feel, because they're so smooth and subtle. I can't say whether it truly lasts as long as up to 8 hours as it claims, because I was so ready to wipe it off. I could no longer tolerate the smell.

Lip Gloss -New York Color - nude york city

This is a decent product. However, I realized that I already have something else that is an excat match, just another brand. The only bad thing about this gloss, is it's really hard to get the product out of the tube with the wand. I found myself having to continously pump to get any gloss on the stick. Ironically, it is the same thing that occurs with the other product this is similar to, (Ruby Kisses Super Lip gloss in Natural, it's a long, slender tube, tan color, smells like cotton candy, also). The price is good, about $2.30 at the cheapest. I've seen these at Rite-Aid, Walmart and Target. Because I already have something like this, I most likely would not repurchase it. It does feel smooth and moisturizing on the lips and looks great, just a tad bit of shimmer, it's really undefined which is good, but is true to color.

Gels/Soaps -Nivea - Touch of Smoothness Tea Rose Scent and Almond Essence

YES!!! This is so lovely. Once again, I have discovered another body wash that makes me smile in the shower. There is nothing that I dislike about this product. The smell is invigorating, (you really can smell the tea aroma), and the lather is wonderful. Definitely moisturizing on the body and does not leave your skin feeling tight and dry. I am so glad I found this. Nivea body washes for the most part are excellent products.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Go Fresh Revive Body Wash in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena

I like everything about this except the smell. It's a great moisturizer, gladly, I didn't have to use lotion after drying off. It lathers well, also. However, it smells better in the bottle at first sniff rather than when worked onto the body with water. It comes off as having the aroma of plastic, and that's what makes me sad about this. I bought two big bottles on clearance at Target , so now I am stuck. Not only do I enjoy a body wash that smells wonderful, but also one that cleans well. This cleans well, leaves my skin feeling smooth, but I can't get past how it smells when I shower with it, not the same as that first sniff.

Lotions/ Creams -Tree Hut - Almond & Honey Body Butter
rated 4 of 5

This smells like a dream...in the container. But once I applied it to my skin, it took on an entirely different scent and it was not good at all. And I was really disappointed being that I was constantly taking the lid of for occasional sniffs before I actually used it. The one good thing about it is that it's an excellent moisturizer, so it serves its purpose. It feels really creamy on my skin and at the end of the night, I can still feel it on my legs working. I just really wish it would keep the same deliciousness that is has before I spread it on my body. I however, will not repurchase another one because I can't get past the settling smell and most likely I will use it on my feet (that way I don't have to smell it as much). It should work great as a foot cream. I also find it to be a bit pricey, the lowest I found it was in Walmart for a little over $5, and Ulta had it for a little over $7. I don't think it's worth the price because you don't get a lot of product and if used everyday it will be gone quickly. If you need the moisture and want soft skin, then go for it, if you like nice smells to linger on your skin, then pass on this.

Gels/Soaps -Nivea - Touch of Cashmere Cream Oil Body Wash
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE THIS!! This has become one of my favorite body washes. It has a soft, gentle perfume scent that is in no way overpowering. The scent does linger on your skin after you shower and it's great. This body wash makes me smile. The smell, the feeling it gives your skin, it's all so lovely. It leaves your skin feeling so clean. It does what a body wash is supposed to do. The only place I can find this at currently is Target. I do however wish that the price was a bit lower. Although it's a fantastic product, I really don't care for spending a lot of money on a body wash. It's between $4 and $5, but you do get a lot of product because the bottle is long. I would suggest this to anyone who wants to feel like a million bucks after they've washed themselves with this.

Lipstick -Revlon - Primrose

Gahhhh!!! I wanted this to work so bad. I stalked it for a while and finally purchased it. I debated so long while I was in the store about this shade. I put it on in the car and oh....my...freaking...gosh...it was absolutely horrible on me. On me! I can not even fully describe how odd the color actually came out to be once I applied it to my lips. It's very pretty in the tube, a nice baby pink sort of, but once I swiped it on my lips, I immediately thought of cotton candy, like the pink and purple swirled together. I'm serious, this is what the color came out to be, on me. It gave me the serious white, ashy lip look that I try so hard to avoid. I tried everything to make this work, even the brown lip liner I faithfully used failed to define it, it just overshadowed the lip liner. So therefore, I walked right back into the store and sadly returned what I was hoping would be a winner for me. Of course this would be beautiful on someone else, but with my skin tone it was ghastly.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - smooth sensation
rated 3 of 5
felissajohnson 3/24/2012 1:02:00 PM

I don't really know how I feel about this lotion and I am unsure whether I would actually purchase it again. So with that said, I guess I am not crazy about it really. The lotion to me seems to be weak and watery. This consistency of it is very strange and I can't quite describe it. It also dries very strangely. The only thing that I really like is the smell. There is a light perfumed scent. It is a little more heavier than the scent in the Soft cream in the white jar. It's a nice pleasant scent and I can wear this instead of wearing a perfume, however the scent fades away in a few hours.

I have this in "Lincoln Park Lavender" and it is absolutely stunningly gorgeous!! This polish makes my heart sing it's so pretty!! I have no complaints. It looks beautiful on my nails against my skin tone. It's a nice quality and a great price. This is possibly my second favorite nail polish. Edit: My mistake. The correct name is :"Lincoln Square Lavender"

Gels/Soaps -Softsoap - Nutri Serum Omega 3 & 6
rated 5 of 5
felissajohnson 3/16/2012 9:16:00 PM

I love this!!! It feels wonderful, smells great (like the sweetest candy) and really moisturizes. And of course I always enjoy a body wash that permeates my entire bathroom and this one especially does. The beads it contains are soft and not abrasive at all and not messy. It's very smooth and lathers lovely.

Lip Liners -Maybelline - Moisture Whip -Caramel
rated 2 of 5
felissajohnson 3/16/2012 8:54:00 PM

I don't know what I was thinking upon buying this. This was way too light for my lips. I could barely see it and I need a lip liner that I can see otherwise to me, the purpose is defeated. It is smooth though and easy to sharpen. I got it at Dollar Tree for $1 of course, so I'm assuming it's been long discontinued.

Cleansers -Olay - Foaming Face Wash
rated 5 of 5
felissajohnson 3/16/2012 8:34:00 PM

I adore this! This is possibly my HG face wash. It feels very clean and fresh on my face and is not drying at all. I've noticed that it also gives my face this wonderful glow. I didn't think it was possible and I don't know what's in it that does it, but I see a difference in my face. It doesn't help my acne unfortunately, (not that it's supposed to because it's not an acne wash) but I wish it did, but I love it nontheless.

Polishes -New York Color - Long Wearing Nail Enamel
rated 2 of 5
felissajohnson 3/16/2012 8:29:00 PM

Unfortunately I have found these polishes to be very streaky. Just today I polished my toenails with the fuschia color. Not only does it look a mess because of the streakiness but the color clashes with my skin tone. It's pretty in the bottle though. It's not a bright fuschia it's much more mellow. But it streaks like crazy. I think NYC needs to update the formula of their long wearing polishes.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Absolute! beeswax moisture lip gloss
rated 2 of 5
felissajohnson 3/11/2012 5:33:00 PM

NO, NO and NO!!! I can not even find the words to describe this product. I got these at my local Beauty Supply Store after I stalked them for a while. I for some reason was hesitant to buy them and now I see why. These are ugh! I have no words to describe them, just...ugh. I really had hopes for these, but something is really off about these glosses. I paid about two or three dollars for each one of them, I only got two. They have numbers, not names, which is kind of annoying, I got #AB701 which is a nude color & #AB706 which is a bronze color. They both came out bad. First off, they have a very strong hair grease smell, (yes, I said HAIR GREASE), that is a bit overwhelming. They are also thick, very thick, I know the beeswax is supposed to be super moisturizing, but it feels like you have that back in the day elementary school paste on your lips (You ladies remember those big jars of paste you used during Art for glue). You also have to use a very light hand when applying the gloss because it really oozes out of the tube, with the slightest squeeze, much more product comes out, causing you to end up wasting some of it. I really regret purchasing these. They taste terrible and they really don't feel all that good on the lips, it's a very odd feeling. The nude color was pretty much the same color as my lips and took on the appearance of mud, I thought I would have to add some clear gloss on top to bring the color out more, but what sense would it make to add gloss to gloss. The bronze color was a little bit too gold. Upon application it sort of reminds you of VS Beauty Rush lip gloss in "Cocoalicious", except that "Cocoalicious" has a wonderful texture on the lips, a delicious smell and the color is much better and not so much gold. Also, these leave a stickiness on your lips that is horrid. When I was trying to remove these, I wiped my lips off with a warm, wet cloth and I rubbed my finger over my lips and they were so STICKY, so I scrubbed and scrubbed, yet the stickiness remained! Ughhh! They are supposed to be the generic to the Burt Bees glosses. I don't how good those are because I have never used them, but I just hope they are not as bad. Maybe Beeswax doesn't belong in lip gloss. Or perhaps this company just added too much of it.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Fruit Smoothies SPF 15
rated 2 of 5
felissajohnson 3/9/2012 9:03:00 PM

I really did not like these. I got tired and bored of them really quickly. The smell wasn't all that great. It was a dull fruity smell (if that makes sense). These weren't the most moisturizing balms either. I guess I was at first fascinated because they were different colors. They ended up being very waxy and felt as if they were just sitting there on your lips.
