Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
ellarae6 4/13/2011 7:09:00 PM
I only bought this product yesterday but I can't put it down! It glides on smooth, moisturises evenly and the colour lasts for hours. The colour I got was Fuller Fig but as soon as my next pay cheque comes in I'm going to go back for Whole Lotta Honey. The only reason Chubby stick gets a 4 out of 5 is because of the price. In Australia this product costs $35 which is a little on the expensive side for a lip gloss. Still it's an amazing product and I'll definitely be re-purchasing

Scrubs -Biore - Pore Perfect Pore Unclogging Scrub
ellarae6 10/6/2010 4:28:00 PM
Meh. This stuff doesn't unclog my pores or reduce oiliness or anything else it claims to do. It just makes my skin feel tingly and smell like watermelon. So yeah. Meh.

Liquid -Clinique - Even Better Makeup SPF 15
ellarae6 8/22/2010 5:33:00 PM
For my birthday a friend of mine took me to the Clinique counter and had me matched to a foundation, which ended up being Even Better spf15 in neutral. The coverage is flawless, the product itself is long lasting but it broke me out something severe. I don't know if Even Better spf15 is really any good at erasing scars and pigmentation but so far for me it's caused more blemishes than any other foundation I've used.

Lipstick -Clinique - High Impact Lip Colour SPF 15 - Honey Blush
ellarae6 1/14/2010 5:06:00 PM
This is my new HG lipstick! Having full lips it's really hard to find a lip colour that doesn't make me look like a clown. As a result I pretty much can't wear anything but nudes and other boring shades. Anyway I tried Honey Blush on while waiting for a friend at Myer and fell in love on the spot. It gives my lips noticeable colour and shine without making them stand out too much. Also the spf factor is a handy benefit, especially in Summer.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clinique - Moisture Sheer Tint [DISCONTINUED]
ellarae6 9/26/2009 7:51:00 PM
I love this tinted moisturizer. totally, wholly and unconditionally. It doesn't clog my pores like some of the other cheap nasty TM's and it gives my skin a nice wash of colour, which is great because I need to wear makeup to work but I don't like wearing a full face every single day. For those anti-ageing enthusiasts out there, moisture sheer contains not only an spf factor (a vital tool in fighting wrinkles) but also several essential antioxidants to reduce the effects of ageing. Not too bad for an everyday TM.

Scrubs -Clinique - 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse Off Formula
ellarae6 7/28/2009 11:45:00 PM
I love this scrub! It gets rid of all the rough skin from around my nose without causing irritation. I don't think I'll ever use anything else as all the other brands I've tried have been either too rough or too weak. That's a real shame, considering how expensive this stuff is. Oh well I might be poor but damn I'm gonna have good skin!

Skincare - Face -Clinique - 3 Step System
ellarae6 7/28/2009 11:34:00 PM
I am completely hooked on the Clinique 3 step skincare range! Being a uni student I'd never had the chance to try skincare from an expensive range before and was using brands like Dove and St Ives (which are good too) but I always had problems with things like blotchiness and blackheads. Anyway so one day my boss decided that I should take over from the Clinique counter manager at work and after product training I received a free 3-step trial kit. I used it dilligently for a month (thats how long it takes for skin to regenerate, no skincare product in the world could produce visible results sooner) and my skin felt much cleaner, smoother and all my blackheads had vanished. The only issue that I have with this system is that for something so basic it is very expensive. People assume that because Clinique is expensive, the products will work miracles on their skin. This is not always the case. The 3-step system is great at cleaning the skin and sorting out minor skin conditions and irritations, but it can't be used as a magic cure for things like rosacea, persistant acne and it shouldn't be used to remove makeup (that's what makeup remover is for). I'd advise people looking to buy the Clinique skincare system to visit a few counters and have their skin type done a couple of times in order to get a better idea about what products work best for their skin. Based upon things I've read here, one of the main issues people have with the 3 step system is that the products they've been sold are not properly custom fit to their needs, therefore the system won't work.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clinique - City Block Sheer Tint
ellarae6 6/24/2009 5:19:00 AM
I can't live without this as my primer. I've been reading some reviews and people seem to be using it as a sunscreen only. When I began Clinique training this is the first product they trained us on and they told us that its primary function was to be a makeup primer with spf, not just a sunblock. Anyway so I went out and bought some that day. I was so impressed that I have worn it every day since. City block makes it so much easier for me to apply and remove both liquid and mineral foundations. The spf is good but not fantastic, seeing as that isn't this product's main purpose. It doesn't make me break out either, which is great because just about everything else does

Powder -Revlon - ColorStay Pressed powder
ellarae6 6/16/2009 6:07:00 AM
I loved this foundation! First of all I'd like to confess that I don't own this produc as yet, I borrowed it from a friend on a night out. I fully intent to buy it as soon as i get some dough, however. The medium colour suits my skin perfectly and it keeps the shine off my nose. The reason it didn't get 5/5 was that I'd only ever use it over a liquid foundation for nightwear. ColorStay Pressed Powder would also be good for daytime use but I like powders with spf for daywear. Also it doesn't clog my pores, unlike alot of other pressed powders

Lipstick -Max Factor - Lipfinity
ellarae6 6/13/2009 7:49:00 PM
This is the worst lipstick I've ever used. The colour is pretty good, it' be even better if it didn't flake off 30 seconds after application. I don't see the point of the topcoat either. If anything, that makes the lipstick flake off faster, especially if you make the fatal mistake of re-using the topcoat when your lips start to feel a little dry

Powder -Unlisted Brand - Natural glamour 2Glo mineral makeup
ellarae6 6/9/2009 7:46:00 AM
This is my new HG foundation! All hail 2Glo! I don't know if you can get this stuff outside Australia, if not it can be ordered online. I love this stuff because it's easy to apply, gives gooo day-to-day coverage, lasts for ages without the need for a finishing veil or a spray to set it. Some other pros include: -no talc, fragrance or parabens are used -it has an spf rating of 15 -vitamin C and other antioxidants are added to this foundation in order to fight the first signs of ageing and give skin a luminous look -It DOESN'T MAKE YOU ITCHY!!! Not even if you sweat while wearing it, which I found was a problem with some other mmu's As amazing as I find this product, there are a few cons: -the packaging is a pain and can be a bit messy to use -the coverage is light-moderate so if you're looking for something matte, this probably isn't the product for you -i wish they sold this stuff in larger packs! I go through more than I'm probably meant to... Anyway there you have it, my HG foundation. I was shocked nobody had reviewed it yet!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
ellarae6 6/9/2009 7:12:00 AM
Ok which Clinique consultants have been recommending this for oily skin types? Get down their names and tell their counter manager that their sales assistants are delusional. Because I have combination skin this moisturizer works really well for me. The only major beef I have is the price. This is $73 AUD for a large bottle and $39 AUD for a smaller one.

Moisturizers -Simple - Light Moisturiser
ellarae6 6/9/2009 7:01:00 AM
I bought this after I lost my very expensive daily moisturiser somewhere in Europe. It was only meant to tide me over until I could afford my usual moisturiser, but I ended up sticking with Simple. Who needs to be spending $73 AUD on a moisturizer that manages to wriggle out of ur suitcase?! Simple's light moisturiser hydrates dry skin while balancing the oil in my t-zone. Plus it's only like $9.95 AUD
