Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Love System
earthlili 9/9/2012 6:39:00 AM
Australian Bush Flower Essences have just put out a range of skin care products called the 'Love System'. I was a little sceptical and so just began with their samples. It is amazing. Truly amazing. Try their eye serum and day and night moisturising serums. It is like putting in a self love ritual into your skin care. I am going to be using this range for a long time. My skin is already clearer, smoother and healthier. They all have a scent which just calm and make me happy. I am so pleased with this range. I just can't wait for morning and night time now.

Eye Shadow -Becca - Eye Tint in Vicuna
earthlili 8/17/2012 5:50:00 AM
I just got this eye tint as a free gift with a magazine. I have been wearing it as a base for eye colour and I quite like it. It does exactly what I love most for a cream shadow, it brightens my eyes up and keeps the colour I put on top of it vivid. I put on two very thin layers, and it sits very lightly on the skin - which is very important to me. I will always make sure I have a tube of this on hand, but will still primarily use my smashbox cream shadow because its finish is a little thicker and it offers a little more colour. I like the Becca for days that I want a more fluid, shinier natural look to the lids. I loved the eye tint with my amber diamond on top.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow
earthlili 8/11/2012 9:55:00 PM
I needed an eyeshadow base which would double as a lovely cream shadow on the days I want to keep it minimal. I tried many brands, looking for just the right colour and finish for me. Although I felt a real loyalty to Mac and their wonderful paintpots, I finally went for Smashbox in shade 'Riches'. I am really happy with it. My lids are usually quite red (especially when I am tired) and they get heavy if I wear anything too heavy on them. This cream shadow is so light, it feels more like an eye cream. The shade I have chosen is the best thing about this product. It brightens my skin and makes my eyes look so much brighter also. In the jar, this looks golden, but on the skin it is all about the lovely bright glow. It seems to make eyeshadows that I lay on top so much more vivid in colour. No creasing at all and it helps keep the integrity of the eyeshadow last longer in the day.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Facial Moisturiser
earthlili 8/9/2012 4:04:00 AM
Gaia Skincare's Facial Moisturiser is made in Australia. It contains organic Jojoba oil, evening primrose and ginseng. It is made for sensitive skins normal/combination - and it is an absolute treat. It is light and works effortlessly into the skin to hydrate. It is exactly the kind of organic product that I had hoped to find. No nonsense, but all the goodies. I remember being this happy when I found cetaphil and realised that I didn't have to try another cleanser. I may us other moisturisers occasionally in the future because I think my skin benefits from changing my skin products every now and then, but I will come back to this. All good and nothing at all negative to say. I love it and so does my skin.

Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - 'Tween Times
earthlili 8/9/2012 4:01:00 AM
I am going grey. I love my hair and I have spent years attending to its health. so I have been so reluctant to use permanent colour to date. In light of this, my hairdresser recommended I use this product until I feel ready to take the plunge into permanent hair colour. It comes in a lipstick like tube. It is a hard stick of brown (but it comes in about 3 other colours) which you wet with water and then apply to the hair where needed. It has blended my greys be-au-ti-fully! It feels and smells like boot polish while you put it on, but that smell goes away in a second. It doesnt look that way though! It looks as though you have just put some texture into your hair at the roots. And it washes off easily in water. If you have a small amount of grey hair around the scalp that you need to disguise temporarily, I strongly recommend you find this product. I have used another similar product in the past that came in a kind of mascara wand, but it was horrible. Look for the Roux brand!

Treatments -Nioxin - hair thinning treatment system 6
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:56:00 AM
The three step program is really working for me. I have some thinning, specifically a slightly receding hair line. Also suffer from psoriasis of the scalp. This program has had a small, but noticeable and consistent effect on these problems. Enough to encourage me to continue use. My hair is clearly thicker and healthier since beginning use ( I began about 2 months ago) I was concerned that attending to my scalp and growth issues would mean compromising on the ability of this product to keep my hair clean and hydrated. However, the shampoo and conditioner are the best I have ever used. Also, I adore the peppermint scent of the product. I really recommend trying this treatment.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - MooGoo - 3 Vitamins Eye Serum
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:51:00 AM
Heavens yes, I would buy this again. Rich in goodies, but light on the sensitive skin around my eyes. It is like a vitamin pill of hydration. Importantly, it does not fatigue the eye area with creamy heaviness. It is a gem of a product and so very easy to find in the shops for such a reasonable price. Good on the MOOGOO people for coming up with such great stuff.

Eye Makeup Remover -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Gentle Eye Make Up Remover for Eyes and Lips
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:28:00 AM
It's ok. Works better than some. It is effective in removal, but I find it oily and heavy on the skin. I'm glad it is out there and easy to find. It is reasonably priced. I know I will buy it again, but can't help feeling that there must be an eye make up remover that contributes more to the care of my skin and eyes. I know I'm demanding...

Cleansers -Korres - White tea fluid gel cleanser
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:25:00 AM
I would buy this again. It is the best cleanser I have used so far (except for the Norwex cloth which I've just begun to fall in love with). But there are some significant problems with it. The biggest one for me is its scent. Really unattractive, so much so that it makes me dread using it. The second issue is that it leaves a sticky sensation on the skin. If I do not rinse it off immediately (or follow with cleanser), it is also quite drying. it's a great product, some fine tuning would do so much here. It removes make up and eyemake up quite easily without requiring scrubbing.

Skincare - Face -Mario Badescu - Herbal Hydrating Serum
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:10:00 AM
This is a wonderful, wonderful product. I love it so much sometimes I don't use it because I don't want to run out! But then it is so affordable, I shouldn't worry. This is just a commendable product that does what it says it is going to do. Simple packaging, easy to take travelling. Good for every imaginable reason; it's a quiet achiever. I use it as a moisturiser when I need something light. I also use it under another moisturiser when I need an extra boost. AND it is wonderful to dab on through air flights. It penetrates like no product Ive ever known. And you can reapply with no threat of build up or heaviness. It disappears under make up with no problem. It is the sort of product that makes me want to write love letters to its manufacturor.

Treatments -L'Occitane - Brightening Essence
earthlili 8/9/2012 3:03:00 AM
I remember that another reviewer somewhere lamented that they WANTED to love L'occitane products, but were never quite impressed. Same here, it is beautifully presented skin care with a very sound philosophy of skin health and organics, and the stores are so beautiful to go into. But I haven't yet found a product to love. I've tried their hand cream, their makeup remover and now this brightening serum. Nothing. The only good thing I can say about this serum is that it did no harm to my skin. It is gentle, that's for sure. But no brightening whatsoever. I will finish the (beautiful) bottle and move on. I think I will try estee lauder next.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Norwex Microfibre Facecloth
earthlili 8/8/2012 1:25:00 AM
Wow. Really. Just wow. I admit it is still early days for me and the Norwex microfibre face cloths, but my skin now feels as smooth as a chamois. I still havent had the courage to totally drop my cleanser, but I can see that it is time to. I have tried so many eye make up removers and cleansers and have a few that I am happy with, but I always had to navigate little problems like scent or skin dullness - and these things really bring me down. This product makes makeup removal and cleansing a wonderful experience to look forward to! Totally clean, but not stripped. No sense of exfoliation stress on my skin, but it has been leaving my skin looking and feeling just wonderful and bright. I will update this review again - but this is looking good. I have combination, sensitive skin.

Blush -Illamasqua - Panic
earthlili 8/8/2012 1:15:00 AM
This is a tomato red blush and I love it so. I have a few red blushes now - most notably Exhibit A from Nars. Quite simply, although Exhibit A is a more lush colour, it breaks me out. Immediately and consistently. Panic has cheered me up considerably: its texture is soft, its packaging is elegant, it is easy to use - pigmented, but easy to layer and tame. It really does bring on a healthy blush. Not matt but no glitter, just a lovely radiant, silky finish. This is my first Illamasqua product and I'm really pleased. I was a bit intimidated by their kind of goth meets drag queen presentation, but now I feel at home with them.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bella Bamba
earthlili 7/27/2012 6:33:00 PM
Bella Bamba is my 'orgasm'. It does all the things that I hear the nars blush does for others. It is a lovely brightening, flattering golden rose colour on me. It shows up as much as I want it to. I love the texture, consistency and finish. It makes me wish for a larger colour palette from the Benefits people. It really is a great product.

Toners -Avene - Cleanance - Anti-Shine Purifying Lotion
earthlili 2/15/2012 3:09:00 AM
This is a great product. Doesn't irritate my skin and makes all my favourite foundations useable. I keep use to my nose and upper cheeks and only a small section of my forehead and use tinted moisturiser over it. My face feels cooler and there is no oil by the end of my working day. Really pleased and will be purchasing again. Update: I still feel it works well but I never did finish the bottle and have begun using something else. The scent of this just really makes me think twice about using it again.
