Just bought this, as it was super cheap, and my key to getting some other bonus gifts at the store as cheaply as possible. I only bought this because a friend had it on last summer, and I remember telling her how great she smelled several times, so I decided to give it a try. I still like the smell, but not ao much on me as I like it for others people....if that makes any sense. Either way, I got the bog bottle, the small bottle and a purse Roll on in the kit, and will only be keeping the 1 ounce bottle. It's fruity, smells good, but nothing I would want to wear every day. And I don't like Paris either, but would rather wer something that smells good than wear something that stinks but has a flashy name.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Lemon Aid

I know a lot of people love and stand by this product. That being said, make sure you try this out before you buy it. Even applied with a brush ever so carefully by a makeup artist, this made me look like a freak. My eyes looked a lot like a reverse raccoon. Glowing yellowy circles around them. I couldn't see any other makeup I had on my face past the obnoxious yellow tone over my dark circles and eyelids. To be honest, my eyes looked better with the dark circles. At least it didn't scream out "hello world, I have a pile of yellow makeup on around my eyes and it is attracting into every little crease and fine line I have". Approaching my mid 30s, I have some lines, but not nearly as many as this made it appear. I guess what I should say is that instead of improving anything, this made me "look my age" only it was "my age with a lot of makeup appilied to cover it". It wasn't even on that thick, so for me it was the tone. Try it before you buy it. The color isn't for all of us and if it isn't for you, you aren't helping anything by adding this.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing
rated 3 of 5
djgirl1976 8/17/2009 6:57:00 PM

I am torn on this one. It is a little bit thicker than what I would normally pick up, and I agree with those who say it sinks into and enhances lines. Now the upside...it covers the very dark circles under my eyes, and the shade(3) is one of the few concelaers that I have found which doesn't make me look creepy and "yellow-ish" under my eyes. It actually covers my problems in a shade that doesn't "glow" past my skin tone. That is a huge plus. The only thing worse than seeing someone wearing concealer that pops out on their face, is seeing your own concealer do the same thing. This works for my minimalist philosopy. I can cover with this, use a powder or tinted moisturizer and be good to go without having to conceal my concealer, if you know what I mean.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Posietint
rated 4 of 5
djgirl1976 8/17/2009 6:46:00 PM

I really like this as a blush, but it didn't show up on my lips at all. They are a little bit too naturally pigmented. That being said, I have fairly dark skin, so those who say this doesn't show on them may not be applying three strokes like the directions state. It shows quite clearly on me with a nice pink flush. I love it. Looks more natural and sunkissed than its red tint "sister", at least on me. I agree that you have to be quick. I put three heavy strokes on the apples and blend in circles over my cheekbone. If you are like me and much prefer a very clean and natural "no makeup" look, then you may prefer this one to Benetint, based on skin tone needs. My skin tone is fairly deep, though Caucasian. My guess would be that it may be too light for Latina or African American ladies out there, but they would probably know that by just looking at it. I would suggest trying a little more and blending really quickly for anyone who gave up on this immediately and has it in their drawer:)

Tinted Moisturizer -BeneFit Cosmetics - You Rebel
rated 5 of 5
djgirl1976 8/17/2009 6:33:00 PM

I am a little surprised by all the negative reviews, but in reality, I shouldn't be. Usually I have a nightmare of a time finding a shade that blends into my skin without making me look chalky. I must have a bit of a peach undertone or something because this sank right in and blended perfectly. I hate and never wear foundation because of the feel. I had been wanting to try a decent tinted moisturizer for awhile and figured this was the way to go because, while a little pricey, I could return it if needed. I am happy to say that this is great stuff for my skin. Not greasy, not too chalky or pasty, not too light, not too dark. For those who thought it was heavy or thick, I really think they must be applying way too much. I normally have pretty oily skin and this didn't make it worse at all. I think avoiding using a heavy hand is important when you use this.

Polishes -Sinful - Bahama Sunset
rated 4 of 5
djgirl1976 12/15/2008 3:36:00 PM

Very pretty in the bottle, not as great on, IMO, but I think part of the problem is that I liked it more sheer and used 3 coats, so 2 would probably be about perfect for me. In the bottle it looks a lot more purple than on, where I agree it is much more of a sheer pinky pearl, but not at all peptoish.

Polishes -Ulta - Nail Polish

djgirl1976 12/15/2008 2:54:00 PM

I am surprised that there are any positive reviews of this stuff. Maybe it is the coor I have, which is Babydoll, but this is just awful, and I loike a lot of stuff from Ulta for the price, value, quality, etc. There was simply no way for me to apply this without it looking bubbly, streaky, horrid. I tried on its own, with base coat, thick, thin, one coat, two coats, none of it worked. It honestly looks like a gummy, awful mess on my nails, even with my favorite salon top coat(and this stuff makes even the worst polish job smooth out). Thumbs down on this one, Ulta, but I love a lot of your other makeup, so I will be back for sure:)

Powder -Cargo - Cargo Blu-Ray High Definition Powder Makeup
rated 4 of 5
djgirl1976 12/8/2008 9:53:00 AM

I am lemming this right now. I got a sample from Sephora that came with a gift I purchased for my sister, and I used this for myself, since I had looked into but not purchased the line earlier in the year. I am sooooo bummed out that I missed out on the set, because I really want this stuff. Let me say that powder is tricky on my skin. I have a hard time finding a powder that doesn't make me look either chalky or orange. Needless to say, when I put this on and it looked great, it nearly floored me. I had refrained from purchasing the set because I was just sure that one shade would not work on me. It looked great, and I am so mad, because now I can't find it anywhere in a kit or set and am torn about spending so much to get the whole line, which I now am wanting to replace my makeup with. I am a huge fan of the natural look, and this is perfect for that, but alas, it is so pricey when you buy everything piece by piece, that I will hold out and hope another kit comes out one of these days.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Nanette Lepore

Ok, so I tried this in Sephora and fell in love, but believe it or not(probably to my advantage) they were sold out. I found a much better proce online and ordered a whole bottle. I love it. Smells so fabulous, and I am laughing because I had NEVER thought of comparing the two, but Angel Whispers candles are my absolute favortite, and while I don't have one right now to do a comparison, I am seriously cracking up because I bet you that I why I love this so much:)Light and sweet and floraly, I totally agree with. It smells like what "pretty" would smell like, if it had a smell...lol. As for the bottle, I think it is really cute, and I personally enjoy anything girly I can have around my house, since DH is a "man's man". He likes it better than a lot of the other perfumes I wear, but that is not saying much, since I am a perfume addict. I switch around constantly, but have a few "signature scents" that I always go back to, and this one will be included.

Lips -Clinique - Chubby Stick - 07 - Angel Kiss
rated 5 of 5

Oh why did they discontinue these??? It makes me sad. I have the bottom end of one in my medicine cabinet, but hate to use it because they are gone forever. This was the prettiest softest girlie color, and I just loved it:( Bring em back, Clinique!

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for lips in Air Kiss
rated 4 of 5
djgirl1976 12/2/2008 1:24:00 PM

Got a kick out of these reviews, since I fall into the older category of users, I agree on the pot thing. I still have one, too, and just pulled it out today to use again. I always loved this stuff when I was in highschool, and I think part of the reason was that they used to always put this into the GWP sets at Clinique. My mom wouldn't wear it, so it always got passed on to me. Last time I considered repurchasing, it was in a tube. I have since lost that one, but still have my old pot of this gloss. I think it works better with a brush than the spongy thing because it is so thick, and I honestly consider it a great conditioner for my lips, as I find most Clinique products are ery mild and agree with my skin. I actually found a woman working at another cosmetic counter to be very rude when she laughed at my using Clinique powder, and told me it was for high school girls. Maybe so, but I will always go with something that looks pretty, not trashy, and doesn't break my skin out, so I still like the old standby-Clinique, and this lipgloss would be better if they brought back the old packaging, but its still good....and man, do I miss their "Chubby Sticks" lip sheers, too...

Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush-Spring Fling
rated 5 of 5

OH, I surely hope they do not discontinue this one...this has got to be the best smelling/tasting gloss I have ever used. Pineapple. That is all I can compare it to, but not a fake kind, it is really tart and sweet, like a true fresh slice of pineapple, and the blue doesn't seem to show on me at all, it is just kind of a shimmering holographic type of clear. Super pretty, good consistency, and the smell and taste are just heavenly.

Palettes -Ulta - Ulta Blockbuster Holiday 2007 Kit
rated 5 of 5
djgirl1976 12/2/2008 11:32:00 AM

Well, I don't need another, because I have not used all of this one yet, but because everyone is entitled to an opinion, here is mine. Number 1...this set convinced me to buy Ulta shadows, because they are heavily pigmented, have fabulous colors, and right now, they are buy one get one free, at 7 bucks, that is a steal. I have never recieved great applicators or brushes in a set, that I can remember, so I have no idea why people seem to let that bother them. If you want good brushes, invest in some. I have some, and use them with this kit. I have a deeper complexion, so I just run the brush back and forth on the bronzer and powder to mix them, and the shade works good for me. The lipgloss and lipsticks are a little "meh" for me. The blushes, I have done the same thing with(ie, mix them all up) and am able to make a shade that works. I agree on a fair person, many may be too bright. Agree with the comment that the concealers more or less just do the job. I got the red case, but preferrred the black, no biggie. All told, for 25 dollars, this is a great deal, because you get to try so many things from Ulta. I now know that I would use their shadows, bronzer, powders or blushes, but don't care for their lip stuff and think their liners are too dry. I have a nice case to carry it all in, along with other things, as I too, pitched the black trays to make more room. Give Ulta some credit. They didn't skimp for the price, by any means, and I have bought much more expensive sets that I have been less enthused by. I nearly bought another kit they had recently because it was a good buy, but decided against it because there is plenty left here. Now, next holiday season...

Palettes -Sephora - Luxe Noir Eyeshadow Palette
rated 5 of 5
djgirl1976 12/2/2008 10:39:00 AM

Couldn't disagree more with the other reviewer. I can see where the application requires a heavier hand on the lighter shades, and the applicator is a bit small, but with a brush, these colors are gorgeous, and the best thing for me is that every single one of them is usable!! That is totally uncommon in a palette, in my experience. Typically, I use about 1/3 of what is offered, and end up with a bunch of shades I hate to pitch, but never use(as was the case with an Ulta set last year). The applicator is great for lining the lids with the two deep colors in the set, and I think at 26 dollars, 8 shades you can use in a darling compact is a great deal. I rarely use drugstore shadows because I can't seem to find any of a decent quality, but I actually find Sephora and Ulta to have decent store brands at much lower costs than the other lines they carry, so I was pleased with this purchase.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - The Milk Man Lip Shine
rated 3 of 5
djgirl1976 12/2/2008 10:22:00 AM

Just ok. I truly hate fake chocolate scents, though this is one of the better ones that I have tried. Like the tint of the gloss ok, and actually consider that I nice bonus that I wasn't expecting. I obviously bought the "men" set with the bubblegum and gingerbreads as well, and would say that this one is my favorite of them, but still not worth another go.
