Lip Liners -BeneFit Cosmetics - D'Finer D'Liner [DISCONTINUED]

I was wanting this product for a long, long time and finally caved in and bought it. This is a clear lip liner that is supposed to stop your lipstick from feathering-- a great idea for non-lip liner wearers like myself. However, after first try, I couldn't wait to get this stuff off my lips. The pencil was smooth and application was easy, but it left me feeling like I had a ring of sticky candy residue around my mouth! On the bright side, my lipstick didn't feather (although that's never been a *huge* problem for me), but this stuff was just so uncomfortable that I didn't even care. Thank goodness for Sephora's fabulous return policy!

Lip Treatments -Weleda - Everon lip balm

LOVE this! This is the only stuff that I don't have to constantly reapply to keep my lips feeling comfortable. I use this in the morning and at night and haven't had even the slightest dryness in my lips since. As others have said, this is thicker than most chapsticks, but lasts longer. My only complaints are that this is hard to find and the product wobbles back and forth in the tube when you apply it so it breaks easily--I wish it was packaged more like original chapstick. Retails for around $5. I think it tastes/smells more like honey than roses, but maybe thats just me.

Styling Products -Redken - Satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion

I loooooove this stuff. I have straight, rather fine hair (not thin though) and I blowdry it everyday. I've never had a problem with heat damage but I noticed my hair starting to feel a bit dry (granted, MN winters are no help). A recent, bad hair-cut has also forced me to get a straightener (which I have never used before) so I wanted extra protection against heat styling. After reading reviews on here, I picked this stuff up and I must say it is wonderful! My hair feels incredibly soft and silky and it looks shiny and healthy (maybe a bit fuller too?). I noticed a nice fragrance when I applied this to my hair but I don't detect anything after drying. Anyways, for around $15, it's a tad pricey but I imagine this bottle will last a while and I will definitely repurchase!

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Twinkle Glossimer

of all my glossimers, this is the one i find myself reaching for the most. i've found this to be a very versatile and flattering color, the frostiness has never caused me to look pale or washed-out. i have fairly light skin, dark brown hair and blue eyes, when i did a temporary deep brown coloring to my hair though, this lip gloss looked eveb better and was absolutely stunning. the glossimer formula is my favorite when it comes to lip glosses, i'd definitely recommend this product.

overrated and overpriced in my opinion but an overall good color. i like the portable tube and the neutral color but honestly...it's just not that great. wears well but not very shiny, doesnt feel slick either- kind of gritty. "oh well" is all i can say.

Eye Shadow -Fresh - Eye Luster in Late Confession
rated 2 of 5
diorcherie 11/30/2004 12:37:00 PM

this color looked really pretty in the tube but was disappointing when used as a shadow. It's a deep greyish brown with a bit of olive tone to it but when applied...it's uneven and blotchy looking. the shimmer in it clumped together and for the life of me, i couldn't get a smooth, even color. i gave up and returned this 2 days after i bought it and got the Fresh eye shadow in Lost World (similar color but 10x better in quality) instead.

what a gorgeous and unique shadow this is. it's highly, highly pigmented and very, very rich. it's a deep olivey brown that is lightened with various hues of golden shimmer. very versatile...works as a shadow, liner, or in the crease, can be subtle or dramatic. stays on long with minimal fading/creasing. @ $22, it's pricey but the compact is great w/it's own mirror inside.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush - Hushabye
rated 3 of 5

hmmm...well i was looking for a berry-shade blush when i picked this up and the MA couldnt stop saying what a cute blush it was, so i bought it. first thing i noticed is that this is quite pigmented to be considered "sheer" and must be used lightly. as for the color...i found it difficult to get my cheeks an even shade and while the finish was natural, i wouldnt say that the color is. good price and quality though, i'll use it but not often and i wont repurchase.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Precocious Lipglass (Tempt Me collection)

i happen to absolutely adore this gloss. i dont have enchantress so im not sure how similar this is to it. but i do have prr, which is similar...only i much prefer precocious. this is just a really pretty peachy/pink golden shade that almost looks prismatic while in the tube when looked at under a light. this leave a nice, natural frostiness without making look washed out. this is my fave lipglass so far...im so sad that its a limited edition!

Lipstick -Clinique - Moisture Sheer in Silver Pink
rated 4 of 5

well, overall, this is a really nice product...not overly priced, cute packaging, nice formula, but the color just didnt look right on me (light brown hair, light blue eyes, warm light/medium skin). dont get me wrong though it's a really nice color, a sheer pink with a light silver sheen. i really wanted to like this but i couldnt, everytime i looked in the mirror something just looked off when i wore this. i'm not a clinique fan either but this is a good product. just not right for me so i'll be taking it back.

Lip Treatments -Too Faced - Lip Injection

i just got this in the mail today and i must say that i am very pleased. it's a thick gloss that really does smell like red bull but i dont consider that a bad thing. so i put it on and after just a few seconds i notice a slight tingle (but not burn) and my lips are turning a deep rosey color...very nice. a little longer and my lips are still a lovely deep shade and look rounder and fuller...even nicer. this stuff is waaay better than lip venom which, for me, only stung and made my lips pale (ick). definitely give this a try!

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Angel

I have no idea why this stuff is so popular. To me...it smells like pine trees, burning pine trees. I thought it was just me at first so i had my mom try it and several of my friends...they all smelled like pine trees and not in a pine-tree-scented-yankee-candle sort of way, if you know what i mean...more of a pine- trees-gone-wrong sort of way. Anyways...after that faded down, it smelled more like baby wipes and some kind of strange chocolate. This is very strong too, after i sampled it i walked around reeking of it so much that i felt bad for myself. Such a shame though because the bottle is gorgeous.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Jaipur Glossimer
rated 5 of 5
diorcherie 7/8/2004 3:35:00 PM

i think the reviewer who described this color as a very classy barbie pink is right on. this is the perfect pink gloss for me (light brown hair, light blue eyes, med-light skin), the color is so lovely and has just the right amount of shimmer. plus, it's not sticky or gritty and lasts a long time. im not good with color descriptions so i wont even try ;) nonetheless, this is a rave from me.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Brilliance glossimer
rated 4 of 5
diorcherie 7/7/2004 5:43:00 PM

this is my least fave of my 3 glossimers (pin up, jaipur, and of course, brilliance). i wasnt planning on buying it until i saw the MA use it on this girl during a makeover...it looked so gorgeous on her so i bought it the next time i went out. there's a lot of complaints about the frostiness but i think in the case of this particular color...less is more. if you just apply a thin, sheer coat of it, you get a nice pink/lilac sheen with a light frost. i also reccommend using it over a darker lip stain so you dont get washed out. overall, a good color to have but try it before you buy it. also, if this is your first glossimer, dont let it scare you...they're great glosses, just get a diff color.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Pin Up Glossimer [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
diorcherie 7/7/2004 5:36:00 PM

this is the best gloss i have yet to try. i love the color, it has the perfect shimmer and looks great with a tan. this was my first glossimer and it has lead to the purchase of jaipur and brilliance but this is still my fave. lasts long and doesnt taste gross. expensive, but worth it IMHO. being my HG l/g, i will buy again...and again, i just love this color (and glossimers too).
