BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label

Although I can easily find this product at my local Asian beauty stores, they usually charge about $40 while some suppliers on Amazon charge $16. The formula is very thin and blends easily into skin. I prefer to use my fingers rather than brushes and sponges because it's easier to spread the foundation. However, the foundation is too gray on my skin tone. When I wore it to school, a few of my teachers actually asked if I was okay because I looked sick. The product has a light but buildable coverage, however, I find myself using 2+ pumps to cover my problem areas. I won't be repurchasing this as I have found better foundation for my needs.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 2 of 5

This was an okay foundation. It had a medium coverage, easy to blend and dried fast (which may be a negative to some, but I often just slap on makeup and run out the door to catch the train to school). However, like everyone else said IT DOESN'T HAVE A PUMP. I don't understand why companies think it's a good idea for people to pour it out rather than pump it out. Ugh, but anyways, it wasn't the packaging design that ultimately made me forgo another foundation--it was mainly the consistency and the smell. It's really thick, goopy and it made me look extremely cakey after 6 hours. The odor is so nauseating I couldn't bring myself to use it every morning anymore. I bought it in natural beige 220, which was a little too pink for me but golden beige was a bit too dark.

Lips -Burt's Bees - Rose Tinted Lip Balm
rated 3 of 5

Although this lip tint does give your lips a pretty reddish color, it's not moisturizing at all. It accentuated flakes and I found myself applying lip balm prior to applying this. Kind of defeats the purpose of a tinted lip BALM, doesn't it? It comes in a standardized chapstick tube, but the weird wooden case fooled me at first. I was wondering why a lip tint can be so thick.. I won't be repurchasing because Fresh's Sugar Rose Tint is a lot better in terms of moisturizing (and also gives a nicer color) although it's around 3 times the price. Oh the things we do for beauty.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Clear
rated 4 of 5
dididianee 6/9/2011 1:54:00 AM

Gets the job done and keeps my eyebrows in place for an entire school day. I like dabbing the brush into some dark brown shadow to fill in my eyebrows. For me it's easier to shape my eyebrows this way rather than using an eyebrow pencil. Of course, be sure to not overload your brush with too much pigment. Won't be repurchasing since I believe ELF's clear mascara and brow gel is basically the same as this one, only $4-$5 cheaper.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks - Powder Pink
rated 5 of 5
dididianee 6/9/2011 1:50:00 AM

Dare I say it? I finally found my HG blush? This product is a total splurge to me ($21) and it was sort of an impulsive buy, but I do not regret it at all. This blush in incredibly pigmented; one tap for each cheek and it'll suffice. Thus, one container would probably last me for more than one year. The color is easy for me to blend, but it may be because I put it directly on top of the Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation (has a sticky finish). It gives a really natural look and for once a blush has finally stayed on for 7+ hours without touch ups! As a lip color it's MLBB and applies nicely with a lip brush. I only wished they had Rose and Calypso Coral in my local Sephora. If this came with a mirror instead of a clear lid it would be even better, but it's no big deal.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstick - 065 Hooked on Pink
rated 3 of 5
dididianee 4/17/2011 1:14:00 AM

Hm, seems like I'm once again the minority here. This shade was too 'cool' for my skin tone and looked rather odd on me. It came off as more of a hot pink kind of color and so I don't really use it as much as I would like it. Again, like most Color Sensational lipsticks, it applies rather smoothly if you have applied chapstick beforehand. When applied by itself it can be a bit drying and can accentuate flakes.

Lipstick -Revlon - Revlon Colorburst in Peach
rated 3 of 5
dididianee 4/17/2011 1:09:00 AM

Meh. Sorry, but I'm not very impressed with this lipstick. I must admit the packaging is gorgeous and very Chanelesque, but the color is not too unique. It applies nicely and doesn't settle in fine lines but it has a weird plastic-y smell to it. This lipstick is lackluster and so I won't be purchasing it again.

Liquid -Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation
rated 2 of 5
dididianee 4/16/2011 10:43:00 PM

Was I the only one deceived by the packaging? Yes it does come in an elegant and simplistic glass tube, but the shade that I bought (220) did not match my skin at all although it looked like it will from the bottle. It has a watery texture and is easy to blend. It's more of a light coverage foundation to me and didn't help cover any acne nor scars nor redness. All it really did was darken my face. It also caked on my face within one or two layers. Perhaps I have gotten one from a bad batch? I wouldn't be purchasing this again. I returned it to my local pharmacy after a day.

Blush -Maybelline - Mineral Power Blush True Peach [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
dididianee 4/16/2011 10:37:00 PM

Was this line of blushes discontinued? I'm only able to find the underwhelming highlighter from the mineral line in stores now (but that's a whole other review) and their foundation. If it is it's really a shame, this has come to be my 'go to blush.' It's matte and ironically is more of a coral color than a 'true peach'. It looks very natural on my skin and also gives 'life' to my face. However, it does wear off a little sooner than I would like. I would say it stays a maximum of 4-5 hours on a day where its not too humid. Because of this, I am giving it four stars. Although I paid close to $10 for it, I do believe it's a good purchase. I had this for more than a year and I still have more than half of the product left. It has good pigmentation AND there's a lot of product, 4.5g to be exact. I would repurchase if I can find it in stores, but its been 2 years since I've seen it.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
rated 2 of 5
dididianee 4/16/2011 10:28:00 PM

I prefer the original one (peppermint flavor) over this, therefore I tend to reach for it more than this one. Although it is not as waxy and glides more easily on the lips, it's not as moisturizing. I feel as if it clumps with my dried flakes. I get a tiny tiny tiny bit of color but it's not very noticeable. I originally found the scent to be very refreshing but I quickly became sick of it. I only use this when Im wearing a lipcolor and want to add a little bit of shine without the stickiness of a gloss.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Park Ave. Peach
rated 4 of 5
dididianee 4/16/2011 10:23:00 PM

Before I review about this shade, please be aware ladies: be sure to check your tube before buying it! If it's lumpy GET ANOTHER TUBE. I made a mistake of buying one lipstick in a different color (cant remember which one, perhaps Hook On Pink?) without checking the condition of the product. When I went home to try it on there were lumps on the exterior of the lipstick. At first I thought it was air bubbles but as I swiped more of the lipstick on WHITE clumps appeared! I believed it was talc that wasn't thoroughly mixed in! When I smooshed the lipstick to see how much more talc was in it I was horrified. At least half the product was made up of the unmixed talc! I took a picture and complained to Maybelline and they sent me a coupon to buy another one for free. I took my chances, CHECKED THE TUBE this time and bought one in this color. Anyhow, I find this a lovely warm-peachy-pink color that complimented my skin tone really well and helped 'bring life' to my face on days that I look like a zombie. It glides on your lips if you have applied chapstick beforehand. I find that it sort of 'clumps' with my dried flakes when I don't. The product itself is drying at times. I'm on the fence about buying this again, but for the color itself I'll put a yes for now. And please DO CHECK your lipstick prior to purchasing.

Tinted Moisturizer -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer in Light to Medium
rated 2 of 5
dididianee 1/31/2011 6:25:00 PM

There's not enough coverage for my liking. I couldn't see a difference in my skintone when I applied it. It was very hydrating but left a tacky feel to my face for the rest of the day. It had a weird plastic scent to it that also never went away. Perhaps I have gotten a bad one that was sitting in the drugstore for too long, but if it doesn't make a difference in the appearance of my face, why should I even bother putting it on? Will not repurchase.

Highlighters -Maybelline - Mineral Power Illuminating Powder
rated 2 of 5
dididianee 1/31/2011 5:35:00 PM

This didn't make any difference on my skin at all when I apply a moderate a mount. When I apply more it seemed like I was playing around with glitter and it some how got onto my face. It also easily rubbed off when I applied in around my collarbone. Not impressed.

Concealers -NYX - Concealer Stick
rated 2 of 5
dididianee 1/31/2011 5:32:00 PM

Staying power? What staying power? I bought this in the color Beige to cover up hyper pigmentation spots I had on my face from old acne and also redness around my nose. It's very creamy and blended well into my skin. Flash foward about half an hour later, it seems as if I didn't apply anything at all (and yes I did set it with powder). I tried applying it over my dark circles but it ended up setting into the fine lines that I didn't even know I have. I'm only 15 by the way. I did like the twist-up tube it came with. It's slim and can easily be taken on the go for touch-ups. Too bad it doesn't stay too long on my face. Really wanted to like it, but it wasn't meant for me.

Polishes -Sinful - Nail Junkie
rated 3 of 5
dididianee 1/31/2011 5:28:00 PM

This looked absolutely gorgeous in the bottle. On my nails? Not so much. It had a goopey, gelly like consistency and I found it hard to work with. It's very sheer and there's barely any glitter in it, therefore you need AT LEAST 3 coats (4 coats for optimal results for me) for the glitter to cover your entire nail. Also, the color itself is light teal and a little too 'girly' for me. I like to apply this over OPI's Russian Navy (trust me, it looks a lot better than alone), but even that's too much work for me. Will not be repurchasing in this color.
