Like most other BB creams this one is chocked full of silicones that clog my pores.

This stuff has thimerosal, which is a mercury compound (sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate). I don't know about you, but that is not going anywhere on my face, let alone my eyes! And the 4th ingredient on the list is shellac. Stay away.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Japanese Hair Straightening/ Thermal Reconditoning
rated 4 of 5

This is the best way to get that straight, shiny, silky, flat hair. If you want body, you'll have to style it further, which could be damaging. It is dramatic and long lasting. It changes the structure of your hair and is damaging though it looks healthy, so invest in something to control the damage.

And get someone who knows how to do this; I've had worse results in cheaper salons. If you have a tendency to put your hair through other damaging chemical processes, stay away from this. You will irreparably damage your hair. It almost "melts" off, gives you bald spots if you're sensitive to it, you name it. But if your stylist takes care of you, and you in turn take care of your hair, the result is beautiful. If you're thinking about doing this make it the only chemical process you do to your hair. I had mine done in LA, costing anwhere from $150 - $300 for long hair and it takes 3-6 hours.

Fragrances -GAP Beauty - GapBody Coconut Tuberose
rated 2 of 5
curiouslilannie 8/28/2007 9:37:00 PM

I love the beautiful simple clear bottle, and it smells soft and sweet in the bottle. The coconut scent was strongest and balanced out by a classic tuberose. But when I put it on it's actually very cloying and starts to smell like a rose that's been dipped in coconut oil and left out in the sun. Staying power is good.

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Conditioning Balm
rated 2 of 5

This doesn't condition enough for my long hair. After a month of using this my hair was drier and harder to manage. It doesn't help to detangle and doesn't seem to fortify hair since I was seeing split ends. Can't say much about this conditioner except that it washes out cleanly. I was using it with the hydrating shampoo.

I'm going to have to say, this product did nothing for me. I didn't even see the shine, despite the silicones present in the ingredients. I initially picked it up because the bottle is very pretty, but it was a disappointment. I have long thick wavy hair.

Fragrances -Lancome - Hypnose

This comes in an unremarkable periwinkle tinted glass bottle that looks like a twisted square.

When I first sprayed it on I couldn't stand the scent. Too much jasmine and some unrecognizeable scent to my nose, presumeably the passion flower. It does dry down to a lovely warm vanilla amber type scent, reminiscent of Casmir or Butterfly.
The initial spritz leaves something to be desired. I might have better luck with the body cream.

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Fragrance
rated 3 of 5

This fragrance is very very feminine and floral with a sweet feeling. It's a way to strong for me and I do smell the caramel creme brulee underneath the flowers. It's very rosy and reminds me of some other fragrance but I can't put my finger on which. It's quite princess-y and loud so it's not my style.

Foundations -Christian Dior - Icone [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
curiouslilannie 9/23/2006 12:54:00 AM

When I finally found a color match among shades that were too pink, I tried with no success to blend this foundation in. It creeped into every line and made my dry patches far more noticeable. It covered red areas alright, but I couldn't bring myself to like this product. I was disappointed since I like Dior's other foundations. The packaging also was like a tinted moisturizer, a squeeze tube that's appropriate for this type of foundation but doesn't look anything spectacular. If you like the texture, try Laneige mousse-feel foundation. It has superior silkiness and is otherwise similar.

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash
rated 4 of 5
curiouslilannie 9/23/2006 12:47:00 AM

If you need serious coverage I don't recommend this. But if you would love to mist on your foundation a little bit at a time for a smooth finish, try it.

My first gripe is it's sooo expensive, at $60 for an aerosol can with nothing special about the packaging. It also requires careful application, and doesn't really save any time compared to smoothing on liquid or powder foundation.

If you can find a color match it does look lovely, smooth, and flawless. I don't think I would use it everyday, and it's not something you can keep with you in a car or take on a plane, since it's a pressurized can.

Blush -Stila - Petunia Convertible Color
rated 4 of 5
curiouslilannie 9/20/2006 1:58:00 AM

This is the absolute cutest color.
Great look, looks scarily bright in the pan but I love it for a blush, just blend for a fantastic looking flush. It does however, not look extremely natural unless you blend it quite a bit so you do end up looking like you're wearing blush.
On me this is a bright pinkish apricot and looks great for a fresh look.

Blush -NARS - Sin
rated 3 of 5
curiouslilannie 9/7/2006 4:15:00 PM

This looks beautiful in the pan, mulberry with golden shimmer.

I'm rather on the pale side and warm toned so it doesn't look quite as spectacular on me as I'd hoped. It's very sheer and understated and I like a little more pop, so I need a brighter color. I would recommend for cooler tones or maybe deeper tones or the very fair.

Palettes -NARS - Lips and Cheek Palette #9929
rated 4 of 5
curiouslilannie 9/7/2006 4:08:00 PM

Great palette. Admittedly I don't use the multiples too much, so this is basically a lip palette for me. All the best colors are here; I bought it for the lip lacquers--Chelsea Girls, Cabiria, Sweet Charity, and Bewitched. It even includes my favorite yybb lipstick, Dolce Vita. The palette is versatile to use for day or evening, but I prefer the Artist Palettes that include eyeshadow.
