Liquid -Givenchy - Photo'Perfexion 100% Natural Complexion 0 Flaw

This is my HG foundation. I wear the shade 5 Perfect Praline and it is the perfect match for me. The shade range is very much on the lighter side, so darker skintoned ladies might have a difficult time finding a suitable match given the limited color range. It's extremely light weight, blends seamlessly into my skin and leaves behind a satin finish that just looks like healthy skin. I apply this with a synthetic kabuki brush (the Sigma one) and it creates a really flawless finish. Coverage is light to medium and the formula is quite liquidity. It dries very fast so blending is key. I find that applying with my fingers does not result in as nice of a finish as applying with my brush.

Styling Products -Oribe - Supershine Moisturizing Cream
rated 5 of 5

I know this is often compared to the FF Glossing Cream, but I really think this is a far, far superior product to FF. I tried FF many times in hopes that it would work for me, but each time my hair is left greasy and weighed down. But the Oribe cream does everything I wish FF did, and much more. I pretty much threw away all of my other hair styling/heat treatment/leave in conditioner products once I started using this. First of all, it smells amazing, and the scent actually lasts all day, I literally can't stop smelling my hair when I use this. Second, it really everything it claims to do, which is to smooth frizzes, add shine, and provide heat protection. I usually use a quarter size dollop of this and work through damp hair (not right out of the shower dripping wet, but after it's been aired for about 10 minutes), then I blow dry. The result is incredibly smooth, soft and shiny hair that makes me feel like I'm in a hair commercial. I wash my hair every other day, and this product never makes my hair greasy in between washings. I know it is an expensive product, but the size is actually very generous. I think a tube will probably last for at least 5-6 months, considering I don't use it every day. BTW I tried this on dry hair once, and dont' really like the result nearly as much as on damp hair.

Lipstick -Tom Ford - Private Blend Lipstick in Crimson Noir
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/11/2013 6:26:00 PM

Crimson Noir is one of the many outstanding reds that Tom Ford offers in its lipstick range. Although in the tube it looks like warm brick red, when applied it is actually much brighter, pinker and leans more neutral rather than warm. It is not very noticeable but if you look closely at the tube there are tons of micro shimmers that make this color so special, they add this extra dimension, making the lips look fuller when applied. I have a light skintone with warm/yellow undertones (Chanel Beige 20, GA Maestro 4.5, NARS Ceylan) and this color is pretty much my perfect red. I thought that because I have warm undertones I needed a warm red, but I find that neutral to cool toned reds like Tom Ford Crimson Noir actually look the best on me. This color just completely brightens my skintone, makes my teeth look whiter, along with all the other wonderful effects of wearing the right shade of red lipstick. The finish is silky smooth, lasting power is phenomenal, and wears so comfortably on the lips that I forget I even have anything on my lips. If I were to have only one red lipstick, this would be it.

Lipstick -Tom Ford - Tom ford private blend lip color pink adobe
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/11/2013 5:52:00 PM

Amazing product, amazing texture, amazing color, amazing everything. Maybe not so much the price, but I'm still willing to repurchase this despite of that. This is a beautiful neutral pinky brown that is just one of those universally flattering and natural looking shades. This is a very creamy color with no shimmers. Tom Ford lipsticks are extremely pigmented and have a matte to satin finish. It is incredibly long lasting yet non-drying, and very comfortable to wear. When it fades away throughout the day it does so very naturally while leaving behind a subtle stain. It's just an all-around perfect lipstick. However, because it is so pigmented, it's not really one of those products that you can just throw on your lips haphazardly and go, definitely needs a mirror to apply, and definitely takes a steady hand to get an even finish. The result is just the most perfect pinky eutral lip that brightens the whole complexion.

Shampoo -Joico - Color Endurance Color Lock Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/30/2012 5:46:00 PM

I've been looking for a shampoo that is gentle yet effective for my colored, slightly dry hair. I was using Fekkai and Redken shampoos but hated how they weigh down my hair and make my roots greasy within just one day of washing. I decided to give this one a try and I surprisingly love it! It creates a very fine and milky lather and just makes my hair feel...CLEAN. It is also very gentle and does not strip my hair of moisture. The smell is nice - kind of like bananas, but it doesn't linger. I can't speak to its ability to lock in color because I haven't really noticed that. Overall, a very nice basic shampoo that does its job.

Styling Products -Alterna - Alterna Bamboo Smooth - Kendi Oil
rated 3 of 5
cmyklamb 3/29/2012 9:23:00 PM

This works really great to smooth down my hair and prevent any frizziness. I apply this when my hair is still damp, but not soaking wet like I just stepped out of the shower. I use one entire drop (about a quarter size) and rub it in between my hands and apply it starting from the middle of my hair down to the ends. This only works for me if I apply on damp hair, once my hair completely dries, this pretty much does nothing for me. I don't think it's a miracle product, and not really worth repurchasing. The smell is lovely though, but it doesn't last. The bottle could be better, the dropper is a little leaky. I think a pure oil would work better, this has a silicone-type slip to it that does not feel very hydrating to the ends.

Shampoo -Redken - Color Extend Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
cmyklamb 3/29/2012 9:18:00 PM

This is one of the worst shampoos I've ever used. Even the cheap drugstore stuff is better than this. It left a gross film on my hair every time I used it, and my hair NEVER felt clean with this. Instead of cleaning my hair, I felt like it just added even more crap to it and weighing it down. I usually don't need to wash my hair every day with other shampoos, but my roots would get greasy in less than a day when I use this. Just awful. The matching conditioner is just as bad.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
rated 4 of 5
cmyklamb 3/29/2012 9:14:00 PM

This is definitely the best color out of all of the color tattoo liners. Very pretty shimmery bronzer color without any chunky glitters like most of the other ones have. Applies smoothly and lasts all day. Not a very unique color, but the price is good compared to other alternatives.

Lips -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain 7 Corail Aquatique
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 6:16:00 PM

As all the reviewers raved before, this is a fantastic lipgloss/stain formula. Pigmented, non-sticky and non-drying. This color in particular is a beautiful coral pink with slight gold shimmers. Super long-lasting. I need more colors!

Blush -Yves Saint Laurent - Creme de blush LE
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 6:12:00 PM

Holy HG blush! This is the best cream blush I have ever used. I actually would describe it as a cross between a cream, a gel and a stain formula. It's so lightweight, so pigmented, and blends so beautifully on the skin. I have it in the shade #4 Audacious Orange. It's a bright shocking orange so the tiniest dab will do. It blends very nicely into the skin and looks like a stain once it immediately sets. There is no shimmer, dewy finish or stickiness. It does not look greasy or shiny on the cheeks, just color that seems to come from within. It's basically the perfect formula. Cream blushes from other brands cannot even compare. The only downside is that it is so expensive for such a small product. But I seriously doubt I will ever use this up because you need so little. It has a very faint fragrance, which is nice but undetectable once applied. I think I need all of the other colors too!

Foundations -Burberry - Sheer Foundation
rated 3 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 6:01:00 PM

This foundation has the most confusing color range ever. It seems to jump from the lightest colors all of a sudden to medium colors with no in between shades! I normally wear foundations in the light to medium range (MAC NC20-25, Chanel Beige 20, Nars Ceylan) and can usually be matched to a shade pretty easily, and was unable to find one that suitably matched my skintone from Burberry. First I was matched to No. 5 at the counter. Maybe it was the bright department store lighting shining down at me, but it looked like a good match in the store. When I brought it home and applied in natural daylight, it was horribly orange and way too dark. I brought it back in exchange for a better color match. The SA then matched me to No. 6 (!!!) Um...what? Why am I going a shade darker?? It turns out that 6 is actually LIGHTER than 5, why would they do this? It's so confusing. I brought it home and tried it on, it's a slightly better match than 5 but still a tad dark and orange. It seems like this foundation oxidizes heavily and all the shades tend to turn orange, makes me look like I applied bronzer all over my face. I have not yet brought it back to the store to exchange for another shade. I have a feeling No. 4 might be the best match they have, but it looks so similar to No. 6 that I couldn't even tell it apart, so I doubt it will make that much of a difference on my skin. All in all, color match is not the greatest. Finally, the formula is extremely creamy and rather heavy, so definitely not for someone with oily skin or lives in hot and humid weather. It does leave a nice dewy finish. The packaging is quite bulky and can really be improved to be more streamlined.

Polishes -Butter London - Royal Navy
rated 4 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 5:49:00 PM

Incredibly pigmented blue polish. It is such a rich navy blue with so much depth. Applies beautifully in 2 coats and looks incredible on the nails. So sophisticated, and a great alternative to burgundy and dark purple. What I hate about this is the fact that it stains your fingers blue! It is a nightmare to remove because blue gets EVERYWHERE, and fingers are stained for days. It makes me hesitant to wear this often because of this, such a shame because it's a gorgeous color.

Polishes -Butter London - West End Wonderland polish
rated 4 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 5:46:00 PM

Beautiful gold glitter nail polish, perfectly for the holidays and New Year's. I suggest using this as a glitter top coat on top of another nail polish, instead of using it on its own. You need quite a few coats of this to be completely opaque, and by then you've layered on so many coats that it will be a nightmare to remove. It looks great as an accent only.

Polishes -Butter London - Marrow
rated 3 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 5:44:00 PM

Although I am in love with the Butter London line, this particular polish just does not work for me. Maybe I got a bad batch, or maybe it's unique to this specific color, but the formula is thick and goopy, so unlike all of the other Butter London polishes I've tried. It is streaky and applies unevenly. The color is lovely in the bottle, but looks unflattering on my nails for whatever reason. Very disappointing, but I still love Butter London for their amazing top and base coat.

Top/Base Coats -Butter London - Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 3/28/2012 5:42:00 PM

Amazing amazing basecoat that makes my nail color last for a whole WEEK without chipping! It is incredible because it's like a base coat and a ridge filler all in one. It creates a smooth, matte, natural looking base that can even be worn on its own. HG basecoat!
