Gels/Soaps -100 Percent Pure - Apple Butter Bar Soap
cjofphilly 11/26/2010 2:36:00 PM
I really like the subtle yet deep apple scent of this soap. It's very moisturizing and suds up nicely. My only FYI is that this is a normal sized bar soap, not like the usual oversized ones that 100 Percent Pure sells (or used to sell?). Highly recommend if you like their products and are willing to spend the money! Non irritating for my sensitive skin. :)
Conditioner -Desert Essence - Lemon Tea Tree Conditioner

I got this as a free sample and wanted to like it! I would have loved a tea-tree or olive-y slightly lemon/citrus scent, but this smelled like something I should be cleaning my bathtub with. The moisturizing effect wasn't too great, either. But overall, it's the smell that put me off!!
Lotions/ Creams -100 Percent Pure - Strawberry Lemonade Hand Cream
cjofphilly 9/23/2010 8:30:00 PM
I normally love 100 Percent Pure's products, but this one is a definitely no-repurchase. It is called a cream but is more like a lotion, and for that alone, it gets minus 3 stars. I wanted something VERY moisturizing, and this isn't it. :( But the smell is nice and of course it does provide some moisture.
Eye Shadow -100 Percent Pure - Satin Eyeshadow in Maui

I do not recommend this product because I put it on my lids, and 15 min. later, it had creased and ran or entirely disappeared. I think the color is beautiful and I can put in on my lips or cheeks, find another use for it, but I do not recommend using this for your lids at all. We need lasting products for our eyelids!! :) edit: even with shadow insurance, this still creases.....i don't know how to make it better, maybe mixing it with a powder. but that's not really worth the effort at that point, esp. with how much you pay for this eyeshadow.
Masks -Peter Thomas Roth - Oxygen Detoxifying Masque
cjofphilly 9/4/2010 7:18:00 PM
I guess this is supposed to be the Radiance Oxygenating Masque or maybe it went through some name changes? I like this mask, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and rosy.
I like the wine/plum color, but as another reviewer stated, these lipsticks are pretty drying. It's almost like they suck the moisture right out of your lips. You could go from plump to shriveled in 5 seconds.
I like this color - I would also describe it as "berry-pinkish with a hint of shimmer." I think this lipstick is a little bit drying, though, so I minused one lippie. I always put on a lip moisturizer after applying this lipstick.
I got a sample of this and think it's the best mascara I have tried. I would not purchase it, though, because it's not vegan. This does not affect my review and for people who don't mind animal products being in their makeup: it doesn't clump for me and run or cause any problems! Which is amazing because normally I have to wipe off the mascara wand with a clean towel to get product off and then apply, as I like a more natural look. With BadGal, I don't have to even do that, it goes on so smoothly.
I agree that this is the best clay/seaweed mask I have used. It clarifies skin, reduces pore size and blackheads, and also reduces pimples. I use it as a mask on my face in general and also overnight as a spot treatment.
Treatments -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Tea Tree Nail Saver

This is my favorite nail moisturizer. It works so much better than other nail oils I have ever tried and better than hand moisturizers rubbed into your nails. Some people may not like the tea-tree-oil scent, but I like it. Product seems to soak into nails well and provides a sheen-like finish to your bare nails. Love it! My nails are so strong with this product! +++major plus+++it's vegan!
Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Lip Plumper - Bronzed Berry
cjofphilly 8/25/2010 12:13:00 PM
I got this in a swap, a sample size, and really like it. It tingles on my lips and is a little bit menthol-y or minty, not sure which. The bronze/brownish color looks nice with my olive skin tone. I don't know if it plumps any; I have naturally "full" lips, I suppose. They did look moistened. For night or more color, I like to put a darker and brighter lip color underneath this gloss. :)
This works better than the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, but I don't use it or purchase it as often because it is so strong. It kind of burns your skin, but it works really well. It is also non-moisturizing, but that can be forgiven when your new skin is revealed. :)
I have bought this mask three or four times now, the most repurchased mask I have ever bought. It is nondrying and a great exfoliator, smells wonderful.
I will not use any other toothpaste. I used to use Crest, Colgate, the "regular" drugstore brands as a child. As an adult, I became interested in more natural, cruelty-free products and experimented with Jason, Nature's Gate, Tom's of Maine, Kiss My Face, and maybe one other. Kiss My Face is by far the best out of everything I have tried (even drugstore brands). Even my dentists who use the regular cookie-cutter drugstore brands recommend this, but probably don't think their clients will spend that much on toothpaste. Well, I don't know about you, but my teeth are worth every penny. :)
Lip Gloss -Korres - Cherry Lip Gloss- 37 Golden Brown
cjofphilly 8/9/2010 9:38:00 PM
I like this golden brown Korres lip gloss for a shiny nude-looking lip when I wear more eye makeup and want less color on my lips. It's really pretty and also good quality, moisturizing, long-lasting. :)
