Pressed Powders -BeneFit Cosmetics - Get Even

I usually love BeneFit, and I had the #3 powder--the OTHER #3 powder. And it worked perfectly for me. I went in to buy a new compact, and to my dismay, the new #3 was a COMPLETELY different tone! The powders only come in three shades. Bad, bad idea for a makeup line, considering that there are only about, oh um, I don't know, a million different skintones!!!! The old #3 was a perfect match. Now, the #2 is too light and #3 is too dark. I understand that BeneFit needed to formulate a powder that suited the beautiful darker mahogany skintones, but was it really such a hassle to have kept that extra shade? What the hell?!? AND, the ingredients are NOT the same--the newer version contains mostly talc, which can be toxic! As everyone can see, I am very disappointed. Unless they change their colors, ingredients, and packaging--AGAIN--I probably won't buy this anymore. It's going back.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Fashion Cherry Vanilla Gloss

The packaging looks kinda groovy and the gloss looks pretty in the packaging, but that is no prelude to what it's really like on. The tube is a cheap roll-on. I kept having to turn the tube upside down to get the gloss onto the roller. And the roller kept getting stuck. Annoying. And almost the minute I put it on was the minute it dried out. AND, it made my lipstick bleed all over my mouth. I did get lots of compliments on the smell as it does smell fabulous, but I will not be buying this gloss again. It's not worth it.

I like this gloss a lot. It smells so good and looks so pretty over lipstick. It adds a subtle sparkle. I like the texture of this gloss better than the very similar MAC glosses--the pigment is not as obvious as the MAC glosses, but the texture is definitely less sticky. And it smells better, too. The staying power is okay. One tube only lasted me about a month, which does not seem very long, especially after paying $14 for a tube. But you know what? I would buy it again because I like it enough.

Oh, yuck! This is some of the worst lipgloss ever--whew, it's a good thing I sampled it first. It is horribly sticky--I almost couldn't spread it onto my lips. As another reviewer said, this stuff is like GLUE! And the tube is slanted, another thing I hate about this gloss. It smelled good and looked pretty in the tube, but that's about it. If you like sticky, gluey gloss--then this is for you.

Yummy--this lipgloss is fabu. The texture is perfect--no hair-pulling gunk here. The packaging is very cute and functional, in a tube. It smells delicious, tastes delicious, and looks delicious on. The gloss is sparkly and subtly frosty, with a shine. The pigment of the gloss is very delicate and hardly shows up on my lips. My lips look so pretty with this on. I wish I could stock up on 10 more tubes--but that would cost $100 bucks! Pretty expensive stuff, but so very worth it.

Shampoo -Aubrey Organics - Island Naturals Island Butter Shampoo

I have been using this shampoo for a while, and I love it. It does not lather very much at all, which took some getting used to for me, at first. If you want a really good wash, just wash, rinse, and repeat. I just love the smell, and it does not dry out my hair and scalp because it's 100% pure and natural. I use the conditioner as well. It also took some getting used to at first, because it has allspice specs in it. But I have come to love the scent and the way it treats my hair. The detangling properties aren't so great, though.

Styling Products -Aquage - Beyond Shine

Fabulous product. Though this product contains alcohol, it does not dry my hair out. It has the same concept as the Biosilk Shine On, except Aquage Beyond Shine is beyond better than the Biosilk. The Aquage, when used in conjunction with my flatiron, transforms my very curly hair into a luxurious head full of smoothed-out, moisturized, silky soft locks. All without drying my hair out, making it oily, or weighing it down. The light, quality silicones, silk proteins, and sea complexes all help protect my hair from the high heat of my flatiron. The scent is so very nice AND this product is not tested on animals. So far and by far, this is one of the best styling products to ever touch my hair. 5+ luscious lipsticks.

Scrubs -Origins - Pomengranate Polish

This product was a near disaster for me. It left my skin oily, my bathtub slippery, and the packaging left much, much more to be desired--it was glass. Glass + Oily product + Bathtub = Hazardous to your health. One lipstick for cruelty-freeness.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Purely Silk body lotion (any scent)

This stuff feels incredibly soft on my skin, but it leaves little pieces of "lotion lint" all over the place. Very annoying. Because of that, I will not be repurchasing. I gave this two lipsticks for animal friendliness.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub

I have always liked this product. It is cushiony enough to be gentle, yet abrasive enough to exfoliate nicely. Gets the job done at a low cost. I love that it's not tested on animals, and smells great, too!

This is one of the worst hairsprays I have tried. It made my scalp itch like crazy!!! Will NOT be purchasing this again. I did give it two lipsticks for animal friendliness.

Gels/Soaps -Origins - Salt Suds

I am currently using this product. It smells like spearmint, and cleanses my skin without drying it out, making it oily, or leaving a film. It does not live up to its promise of brightening my complexion, but that's okay. Still works nicely. Update: Still using this product. I'm afraid to use anything else!

Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Lavender Gel Face Cream

I adore L'Occitane products, but this is one I don't like. It dries the hell out of my combination/oily skin and also breaks it out. The Lavendar Cleansing Gel is fabulous, however.

This product works fabulously for my combination-oily skin. I have been using it ever since it first came out without any problems. It cleanses my skin without drying it out, and it keeps breakouts to an absolute minimum. It smells great, too.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash

This is a fabulous mascara! It really plumps, thickens and lenghthens my barely-there lashes--without leaving oil all over my face, irritating my eyes, or clumping. It instantly gives me that glamourous fake-lash look which I love. Therefore, this mascara lives up to its promises. In addition, the packaging is great--it's jumbo-sized and makes applying the mascara fun and easy. Weeeee! Update: This mascara does leave little rings under my eyes--but that's after hours of sweating. A little water on a cotton ball removes the offending "racoon eyes", and some powder to touch it up. This is still my number one mascara.
