Poor coverage, decent color match for my NC15 skin (I bought 050 Ivory). Needed something right away to take with me for a weekend trip and though I'd give a drugstore pruduct a try. Mistake! This just sits on my face and makes my nose look flaky (and I have a combination skin!). Horrible!
Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her

This was too heavy and flat on my skin. Such a shame really, since I have two friends who use NR for Her and they pull it off SO well. Unfortunately my body chamistry did not work with it. (my signature scents are Armani's She and Escada's Incredible Me)
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 131 Duo Fibre Powder & Blush Brush

When you've been a makeup addict as long as I've been you learn to appreciate certain things in products. One of those qualities is versatility. This brush must be the most versatile face brush I have ever bought. I've been using it for a week now and am ready to call it HG. The biggest reason for this is that it survived my morning routine test. I applied EM mineral foundation, Sculpt and Shape powder and MSF both as blush and highlighter with this brush. It did a flawless job! I even managed to apply my Select Cover concealer with it. I find it better then the 187 which fails to apply mineral foundation. I have 3 of these.
Ugh, smells way too soapy on me. I tried it for couple of days but no, the dry down is always very sharp and cleaning detergentish. I guess my body chemistry and Essence aren't just meant to be.
On me (NC15, red hair and green eyes with golden flecks) Elite turns way way too orange. It does remind a bit of Woodwinked but is not as brown and maybe ever so slightly lighter. If you look good in really warm eye makeup and can get a hold of this then do since the pigmentation and finish is unbelieveble :)
On no. Orange. i have a NC15 skin, red hair and green eyes with golden flecks. Although I do love Amberlight's smooth finish and how it applies unfortunately for me it's simply not wearable. I tend to look best in neutral to warmish colors and Amberlight, Elite and even Woodwinked turn orange on me. Sigh, I have seen this look absolutely amazing on other people, though.
Highlighters -MAC - Sculpt and Shape in Bone/Beige

Wow! I think this is the first product I've ever hit pan. I'm NC15 (or a bit lighter) and both the shades are like made for me. I usually use my 138 to apply the contour and 165 to apply the highlight. I've used this product every single after I got it. I have thrown out the term "HG" before, but never really understood what a holy grail product is until I came across Bone/Beige.
Oh, it's so annoying! This mascara is really good when it comes to staying power and volumizing (is that a word?). However, it does weight my lashes down and kills the curl. I waited for couple of weeks hoping that the formula would dry out a bit but no, it still weights down my lashes. Such a shame! If Rimmel comes out with a waterproof version of Sexy Curves, I'll definitely buy it!
HG ALERT!!!! I will buy this product as long as they keep making it! But before I start raving about this product being the best thing ever i want to remind everybody reading this review that a) there isn't such as a perfect product and b) YMMV. Now to the raves :) I have horrible horrible dark circles (and with my NC15 skin they look relatively worse) and need heavy duty concealers to cover them. I useally use MAC Studio Finish and it does fairly good job. BUT with Touch Magique on top of the Studio Finish i can honestly say that my dark circles are almost gone (and almost is all I can ask). As a bonus TM stops Studio Finish from creasing so I look fresh the whole day :) As for those little imperfections and redness around the nose TM is the best thing I've ever tried. It really makes my skin look even and radiant! I usually use either Everyday minerals foundation or MAC SFF as a base. I use Tm in 03 I think. At first I thought it would be way too dark but since I didn't want to buy 01 since it's too pinky for me I gave 03 a shot. It's perfect. This beats YSL's, Dior's and Guerlains products, no doubt.
Hmm, I get better results with Maybelline Volum Express. The waterproof version of Hypnose is one of the clumpiest mascaras I've ran into! It does hold the curls and does not budge until you remove it but gives you minimal volume and clumps sooo bad. It's a shame, I love the regular version of Hypnose but this doesn't come close.
This is my absolutely favorite blush in the whole wide world (I got 3 back-ups)! On my NC15 skin it works as a quite pigmented blush which compliments my auburn hair and green eyes. On me, Stereo Rose is a warm pinky red. I haven't run into anything like it!
This is a nice daywear mascara. It leaves you with a natural look and because it's waterproof it holds the curl well. I don't know whether I'd buy it again since it's nothing special. I think I prefer Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara as my everyday mascara to this one.
Romp is a really really nice brown shadow. It hasn't got any red tones and non of that irritating glitter. I wouldn't say it's dark brown but more of a medium brown. I don't reach for it very often but doing out I LOVE the look of Soba packed on the lid with Romp in the crease and Graphic Brown as a liner.
I really didn't care for this color. I'm NC15 and felt that Soba is too dark for me to wear packed on the whole lid during daytime. After playing around with it for few months I've figured out how to use it (and love it) I have three ways to wear it: 1. with Shroom or Ricepaper on the lid and Soba in the crease 2. Soba on the whole lid with Shroom or Nylon on top of it. I apply Sobe with 239 and a lighter color with 217 or 222 on top of it. 3. Going out I LOVE soba packed on the lid with Romp in the crease and Graphic Brown as a liner. These combos work BEAUTIFULLY with my light skin, auburn hair and green eyes :)
Hmm, I have to say I'm not in love with this. It might be that the colors are just too cool for me (neutral/warm NC15 or lighter). Plus the pigmentation is not as good as for example in my Thunder Eyes Quad (<- LOVE!).
