cathyz123 5/7/2013 8:56:00 AM
finally! an affordable, creamy nude liner! this is the best liner for my waterline from the drugstore. it doesn't last all day but it's really creamy and super great for brightening

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sebium H2O
cathyz123 4/14/2013 1:07:00 AM
i use this in the morning as a cleanser/toner type product and it works great at removing excess dirt and oils off my face as well as in the evening as a MU remover. it removes makeup without that oily residue of regular MU removers. it's expensive yes but it's totally worth it. it has a nice fragrance and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without feeling stripped.

Gels/Soaps -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Wash
cathyz123 2/12/2013 4:36:00 AM
i was looking for a good body wash that didn't have SLS and i came across this one. i do like the vanilla/cocoa smell and it feels quite moisturising as it claims. it's a little pricier here in AUS but i'd rather pay a bit more for SLS-free products. would definitely recommend. it lathers well too :)

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aloe Vera plant

i use aloe vera gel on breakouts and dark spots/acne scars and it reduces the redness dramatically overnight and lightens scars too. highly recommend trying aloe vera (preferably from the plant) but you can also buy it in tubes at the drugstore.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Tea Tree Oil
cathyz123 2/2/2013 2:53:00 AM
tea tree oil is amazing for acne and breakouts. i've used it mixed with jojoba/avocado oil in the oil cleansing method and i use it mixed with rose hip/jojoba as a moisturiser. personally i don't use it as a spot treatment alone because i don't use essential oils neat, but i definitely recommend tea tree oil if you have redness/acne/breakouts!

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label
cathyz123 2/1/2013 2:05:00 AM
i prefer BB creams to foundation now because my skin is starting to improve and i prefer lightweight coverage on my face for everyday. this BB cream gives light/med coverage without feeling cakey. it dries semi-matte i would say and leaves me skin looking a bit fresh and dewy like regular skin. it goes on with a grey cast and oxidises to match my skin (NC20ish). would highly recommend trying it.

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Olive Butter Formula
cathyz123 12/22/2012 7:29:00 AM
i got a mini size in a 'hand cream' trio from Palmers and i'm so happy with this. i love the scent, love that it's paraben free, it's not greasy and super hydrating! this is the first lotion/cream i've used from Palmers. going to try the others and consider getting a full size as a body lotion. love it!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Yogurt Mask
cathyz123 12/22/2012 7:24:00 AM
i've heard so many great things about yogurt as a natural, effective facial mask so i finally decided to give it a go, especially since i've been trying more and more natural skincare e.g. using essential oils, oatmeal etc. instead of commercial skincare. i have read a few theories about different yogurt types e.g. fat or non-fat for different skin types but since i only had nonfat at the time, i figured i'd try it anyway. it works great! it leaves me skin so smooth and hydrated and my complexion is clear and bright and my pores are minimised. i would highly recommend using a good moisturiser afterwards regardless of whether you have oily or dry skin, and i'm keen to try using full fat yogurt and mixing it with oatmeal and honey and whatnot for future masks. what a great skin remedy!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
cathyz123 11/26/2012 8:16:00 AM
i like this mascara but it's nothing amazing, especially for the price here in Australia. probably would not repurchase. it gave some volume but not length and the bristles were a bit too small.

Top/Base Coats -Revlon - colorstay top coat
cathyz123 11/20/2012 11:50:00 PM
i know a lot of people complained about this top coat taking a long time to dry and though it's not a quick-dry top coat i found it dried pretty quickly for me. it leaves me nails looking really glossy and it makes the colour last a bit longer than other top coats

i love this lip balm - it's super moisturising, it smells really yummy and it leaves a healthy, sheer red tint to my lips. i hate dipping my fingers into pots for any product but for this, i can overlook it :)
